If your child struggles with anything mental health-wise, Compass is a godsend. It’s like school where the teachers are all expert doctors and therapists who genuinely care about your child and your family. We’ve gone… back almost every year for a refresher of all the skills they teach our son. Literally nowhere better and we’re so grateful they gave us our son back. He feels like himself. 10000 stars out of 10!!!! We love Lisa, Alejandro, Toni, Dr. Franke, the intake phone people, and legit everyone we spoke with. So so so thankful we have this place as a resource.

Our family had a very positive experience with Compass Health Center. Mental health treatment is never easy, but throughout the process I found the program to be organized, professional, and highly collaborative.… Communication was one of Compass's greatest strengths. The treatment team clearly explained goals, answered my questions, and made a genuine effort to understand what my son was experiencing. I always felt included as a parent and understood what was expected of me to support treatment at home. I especially want to recognize Yexenia and Mack. Each of them treated my son with professionalism, compassion, and respect. They took the time to listen, communicate clearly, and made me feel like an important part of the treatment team. While no program is perfect, Compass gave me confidence that decisions were being made thoughtfully, communication was transparent, and my child's best interests remained the focus. Based on my family's experience, I would confidently recommend Compass Health Center to other families seeking intensive mental health treatment.

daughter went here, staff isn’t friendly, they are kept inside all day, they learn the same thing every single day and most of the group therapists are rude.

They made certain recommendations regarding my personal life to my parents that were entirely out of bounds for those in the social work profession. Over a decade later, my family relationship continues to suffer due to… bad advice they originally received from Compass.

Compass has been phenomenal over the years as a place I can rely on as a mental health provider! So I went to compass for wanting to kill myself once and before I went I was getting better then I went now I want to kill myself 24/7 because the people there bullied me and not the other depressed people the staff. if… I could give zero stars I would. Ps the account name is not my actual name.

WOW…. The team at Compass Mental Health in Northbrook is incredible! Dr. Alex Timchak has soooo many extraordinary qualities that make him a leader in the field of psychiatry. He communicates with clarity, respect,… compassion and optimism. Also, he is open-minded and willing to offer a logical explanation about the treatment plan he recommends. Most importantly he has a " wealth of knowledge " due to his extensive professional expertise. Also, James Drake ( therapist ) is a " breath of fresh air". James delivers a supportive, comfortable and healing environment at every session. His active listening makes me feel “ truly heard “. James is able to foster a trusting bond through his compassion and deep understanding of the individual needs that are needed to promote healthy mental growth. What an amazing team they make !

It is rare to find a place so dedicated to patient care, with a clinical team that genuinely values every individual who walks through the doors. Thank you!

The entire Compass staff here, from the receptionists, nurses, treatment team and group therapists are truly some of the most caring, giving, compassionate, supportive and exceptionally intelligent & wonderful… individuals I have ever had the privilege to meet and entrust my care to.
