Concord Counseling Services – Westerville

I would like to begin this by stating that for my protection, I wish to remain anonymous in this report. 1. This place has countlessly exhibited gross negligence, exemplified by the lack of accountability pertaining to… counselors, inappropriate behaviors by nurses, and general disregard, as shown by the front desk. Examples: A. Mistakes made with prescription medications. B. Counselors that make harsh judgement calls, and leaving clients to their own devices over weekends, which could lead to suicide/ hospitalization- while said counselors continue to go to their comfy little offices. B. Knowledge of susceptible mental states of clients, and not maintaining communication in a timely manner. 2. Inappropriate commentary/ emotional abuse by staff to patients, as well as timeless examples of sexual harassment by staff to clients. 3.Punitively using information by the client as blackmail to justify emotional abuse, silencing clients who try to report issues, and in turn, weaponizing mental health conditions for character assassination, to perpetuate further abuse. 4. One upmanship/verbal abuse by staff as a means of establishing and maintaining control of clients. 5. Errors in medication, followed by the front desk hanging up. To all existing or future clients here, please do not let this agency abuse you. Also, disregard their additional responses/ commentary. They do not understand the concept of personal accountability, and will proceed to shift blame. I’d tell them to look in the mirror, but I think they do that enough already.

My elderly mother and myself have used Concord for years for several of their offered services and they’re equally Fantastic!! I respect Concord fully.

I’ve been working with Concord for my mental health since 2012. They have always treated me fairly and professionally. The staff is always such nice people.

Everyone is so caring and validating! From the front office staff to the counselors to the doctors. I highly recommend.

Pychiatry wouldn’t listen and would not prescribe medications that wouldn’t cause me to gain weight even though my cardiologist and family doctor suggested I not be on these types of medications. The psychiatrist… basically called me a liar. Supervisor of office was supposed to call me back and never did. So I went elsewhere. Counselor was great but I wanted all services to be in one place. Very unprofessional.

I had a deeply concerning experience with a pyschiatrist at Concord Counseling Services. After seeking treatment for a mental health issue, I was unfortunately misdiagnosed. To make matters worse, she provided me with… false information and offered medical advice that was not only incorrect but also potentially harmful. I highly advise anyone seeking mental health care at Concord Counseling to proceed with caution. If you’ve experienced similar issues, I strongly recommend filing a grievance with your health insurance company to ensure that your concerns are addressed. It’s crucial that patients are treated with the utmost care, professionalism, and accuracy, and my experience was far from that standard. Be sure to advocate for yourself and seek second opinions if necessary.

They’ve put a gap into my medicine for the last 3 weeks and then last minute rescheduled me for another 2 weeks out. If you want gaps in your medicine plan, this is the place to go

HANDS DOWN: BEST therapist and psychiatrist EVER and I've been with tons and never felt like they cared. but, Concord showed me that there are people who work in mental health that are in it NOT for a check but because… they care THAT much, God Bless this business

My wife's last therapist stopped service, and forwarded all of her records to this "business." After only a 20 minute call to get all the info this "business" already had from the prior office, she was told "We can't… help you" and charged her over $400. This place is clearly a scam. They had all the info, but wasted 20 minutes to get the same info, just to make a quick $400. Never trust this place. Look elsewhere.

If i could give this place 0 stars i ABSOLUTELY WOULD. I was recommended by my old psych to a new psych doctor at this place. We had 1 telehealth appointment. Before that appointment my old psych faxed over ALL my… medical history including my diagnosis. She knew EVERYTHING about me already. After the first appointment she told me "i dont believe we are a good fit, your symptoms and diagnostics are just too much im sorry i wish i could help" AND THEN STILL PROCEEDED TO CHARGE ME 450 DOLLARS. For her to tell me IM TOO MUCH and THERE IS NOTHING SHE CAN DO FOR ME. She knew going in what i had, if i was too much then she should NOT have made an appointment with me. DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED AND NOT HELPED AND TOLD YOUR ILLNESSES ARE TOO MUCH.

Horrible

Absolutely the worst therapist service ever. Horrible communication I have called and left voice-mails and left emails about the phone number change and they won't use this number causing me to miss several… appointments. They haven't even responded to the emails except for the one time and someone else called on the behalf of my therapist. I am already looking for somewhere else that will take my mental health more seriously.

Everyone here is super nice! This place is an awesome opportunity to connect with some much needed resources!!

Very disrespectful wouldn't recommend

I was trying for weeks to get in touch with my case manager and no response or anything I needed help and she wasn’t there!!! This is why I hate places like this they seem like the care then just stop talking to you all… together what was the point of meeting you??

I committed suicide in June 2016. Yes, committed. If I had a dnr I would not be writing this. I had no insurance and my bill was picked up by ADAMH. And I was assigned to Concord for therapy and med management. I… couldn't ask for better care. If I'm in crisis I know I can at least speak to one of the nurses. That's all it takes. For an organization as large as Concord it is astonishing how many of their personnel know you by name. I am treated w up most respect. If I don't understand something it is explained until I do. If I need to have sessions w family members, they are welcomed. Questions on care or meds, no problem. And I know that they really do care about me. They saved my life. I can only give 5 stars. If there were more, I would give them every one of them. Oh!!! On site pharmacy. Almost all my needs under one roof, except physical care. I believe that is in the works.
