How Much Does Treatment at Copa Health East Valley Cost?

Self-pay rehab in Arizona commonly costs $1,750 to $5,600 for a week of medical detox and $1,500 to $5,000 a month for standard outpatient care. RehabSeekers did not find a price list for Copa Health East Valley when this page was written. The state figures give a sense of scale, nothing more.

A fee at Copa Health East Valley would normally be expected to include medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling. That expectation comes from how programs are usually priced, not from the facility. Call Copa Health East Valley for a breakdown.

Not federally funded & unhelpful with the most simple request. This clinic has watched me slipped through the cracks for almost a year no with no help. This is why your clients feel suicide is the way, because it’s… sometimes your only last & only option dealing with this clinic

My experience with COPA Health regarding my adult son has been extremely concerning. Based on what I have personally experienced, I would give this organization one star. My son has specifically and repeatedly stated… that he wants his chosen representatives involved in his care. I currently hold Power of Attorney for my son, and representative documentation has been provided concerning my role. Despite my son’s expressed wishes, I have serious concerns that COPA Health has conducted or participated in meetings concerning his care without including representatives he specifically requested be involved. I recently learned of another such meeting that reportedly occurred without my participation. This is not simply about what I want as his parent or representative. My son is an adult He has a voice He has rights. He has expressly asked for his representatives to be involved I am deeply concerned by what appears to me to be an effort to disregard, circumvent, limit, or potentially replace his chosen representation. If COPA Health believes it has a lawful basis for refusing to recognize any portion of his representative documentation, then it should provide that determination in writing. identify who made the decision, and identify the specific legal and factual basis supporting it I also have serious concerns about how COPA Health has handled Arizona requirements concerning healthcare and behavioral health representation. Arizona law provides specific requirements for Health Care Powers of Attorney and Mental Health Care Powers of Attorney, including circumstances in which a qualifying adult witness may be used rather than notarization. If COPA Health has rejected or disregarded a qualifying document merely because it was witnessed rather than notarized, that decision deserves immediate legal and regulatory review. There are also **witnesses who can corroborate material events, including my son’s statements that he wants his representatives involved. I am preserving records of meetings, telephone calls, emails, grievances, documents, witnesses, and other communications. My concerns regarding COPA Health have now become serious enough that this matter has been elevated to legal counsel and appropriate oversight channels. I am seeking review of whether COPA Health’s actions comply with Arizona healthcare and behavioral-health law, applicable AHCCCS requirements, federal HIPAA personal -representative protections, my son’s legal documents, and—most importantly—his own expressly stated wishes. I am not claiming that a court or regulator has already determined that COPA Health violated the law. I am stating that I believe the conduct I have witnessed raises serious questions about potential violations of my son’s rights and warrants immediate independent investigation Healthcare organizations entrusted with vulnerable individuals should be protecting members’ rights—not creating additional barriers when those members are trying to exercise them My son has spoken for himself He wants his representatives involved I will continue documenting what occurs and pursuing every appropriate administrative and lawful remedy available to protect his rights Based on my family’s experience, I cannot recommend COPA Health One star Crystal Rebecca Freyer (Mecartea) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mecartea & Associates PLLC

I would not recommend this facility. They failed my sister on so many occasions. She suffered from mental illness for many years and was “treated” through COPA for the last few years. She recently passed away due to… unfortunate circumstances. I wish this facility took more time to care, perhaps she would still be alive.

I would like to share my personal story about this clinic , which is extremely difficult for me, but I feel that it needs to be heard. I am not a person who tries to be negative/judgemental/vindictive, but I have a… experienced some very SERIOUS discrimination:/cultural bias as someone who has a DIAGNOSED Autism Spectrum Disorder and physical disabilities, which I strive to not let define me, but recognize that I need help and have to accept they place certain limitations on my lifestyle. I’m told I am in denial and delusional because I don’t agree with their diagnosis. I am told I am manipulative because I filed complaints against them with AHCCCS for rights violations with HIPPAA (Healthcare Information Portability and Accountability Act), for accessing external records without my permission. I reached out to their administrative office (COPAHeadquarters-it’s at 924 Country Club Lane, in Mesa Arizona), I have requested NUMEROUS times (via email, phone, and ad a walk-in, in an completely respectful, appropriate manner) for a meeting with some of the heads of staff, including Billy Ludwick (COPA Health’s Chief Compliance Officer), and Latrice Higman (another head of Administration). Since September of 2025. None of them return my calls, until I actually lodged my complaints with MercyCare and the Maricopa Mental Health Superior Court. I’m told I’m discriminating because I demand a certain level of care that I am entitled to legally. All I ask is that my rights are respected. They still have me listed under my old name, after I took a great deal of time, money and energy to completed my legal name change, and provide the supporting documentation . I feel insulted that they still call me (and have my recurs under) my previous name, as it is an emotional trigger, and I changed it to honor the journey I have undergone spiritually , emotionally and physically to improve myself. The provider at my clinic says I need to continue to be monitored because of my continued health issues, which the court said they have no jurisdiction over or legal authority to place. They are recognized health issues, they are pre-existed my depression and anxiety, but the pain flares up when put under immense stress, which is (to say the least) obvious based on what I am sharing. If you are looking for a clinic, I recommend Alium Health, or Resilent Health (which I currently heard last week has NO openings for SMI designated individuals, people on Court ordered treatment, AND/OR AHCCCS/Mercycare). If anyone is interested in talking about staging a picket outside their headquarters, MercyCare, or AHCCCS, or the Capitol Building, or helping me draft a bill and collect signatures for a petition, message me on Instagram at Pathways to Progress (my non-profit organization that I am starting ), which my Instagram Handle is: Polarity_Princess

This is Richy's Mother... This clinic failed my son when he needed help the most. My son was an established patient at COPA Health. Over a period of time, I made repeated attempts to contact the clinic about his rapidly… worsening mental health. He was experiencing severe auditory hallucinations and clear decompensation. I begged for help, medication review, and intervention. My calls and messages went unanswered. No urgency. No escalation. No meaningful response. Medication that had previously helped him ( Clozapine) was discontinued. Despite clear warning signs and repeated outreach from family, COPA Health failed to act. My son is now deceased. Mental health providers are supposed to respond when families raise alarms. Ignoring people in crisis has consequences. This was not just poor customer service — this was a failure of care. Families deserve better. Patients deserve to be heard. I would strongly caution anyone trusting this clinic with serious mental illness.

If there were a 0 star this place would get it. Do not come here for mental health issues. Nurse Practioner Joyclin is rude and uncaring. She is not accessable and if you ask a question about feeling depressed or… medical issues from medication her answer is thats the way things are like oh well. I asked about blood work because of side effect from medication and she snapped at me ! These people are all dismissive and rude from the psych nurse to the pc nurse. No doctors just nurses who are uncaring and poor communications. STAY AWAY

I was switched doctors and no one even told me… for months. I just hate this place and have no idea how they are even open. They need to be shut down.

I recommend getting a different clinic. There are several things I could write but I’ll give just one example of today. I wanted to set up a ride to Copa at 11am. I texted my case manager at 9. I called her cell phone… after 15 minutes. She is probably not in today so there’s that. I called the main number and waited 8 minutes until the system hung up on me. In the past I had waited 30 minutes on hold until it hang up on me. I complained and it changed to 8 minutes before hang up. I called a second time and got through at 9:50 after 5 minutes on hold. I said I’d like to set up a ride for 11am this morning and she said I’ll have to transfer you to the front. She transferred me to the front and nobody picked up so I left a message. It’s now 12:34pm and I’m still sitting at home. This is a common occurrence when calling Copa. I have addressed my concerns to several people and they obviously do not care because they have not fixed the problem. I called the same day at 2pm. They answered the phone after 4 minutes. I heard the woman say he wants a ride to someone over the phone before I had even spoken to her. She was talking to someone next to her. I often call to get rides to the groups. If she knew who it was before speaking to me they have caller ID and they are screening my calls. What if the frustration drove me to suicide? They should lose their jobs. They know I was calling an SMI clinic so I have mental and emotional problems. I’m sure they would say they didn’t know. Ignorantia juris non excusat fits perfectly here. Messing with someone that the ADA considers protected status. Now allowing me to access services is discrimination.

I took a course in Peer Recovery Support Specialist at Copa Health Mesa Az The course study material was more than adequate The instructors were well trained But Copa Health did hire prior to being certified a classmate… that admitted she owned/living in a house that was bought with illegal drug money This student also has current DMV unpaid fines And another student admitted/bragged to teacher/class that he lied/embellished about his psychiatric symptoms to SSA to recieve benefits This person was an x-convict How do they even get civil liberties after being paroled?? This was my experience Thank you for letting me share. Renee Brown Scottsdale

Between this facility and the one at Metro center, Copa has failed me, they switch case managers constantly, so it's impossible to get any of your mental health goals accomplished, because you constantly have to start… over with the new case manager. My last case manager left a year ago, I have yet to receive any communication of a new Update, they finally deccase manager. Oh, but they're quick to harass you at your job or home. And when you do come in, the front desk has no idea what's going on. You are supposed to be helping people determined as SMI, which denying help like that could put the patient or others in danger. 13 years, 13 years I have been seeking help to fix whatever is wrong with me, I don't know what's wrong with me, because I can never get an appointment to help me determine what's wrong with me so we can take the guess work out. But you blame me, when I refuse to take medication that's prescribed WITHOUT a proper diagnosis, basically you're willing to put my health in danger because you guys don't want to do actual work. This place needs an overhaul and the state needs to be involved.

This place does nothing for their clients and the case managers, front desk, doctors and higher ups are not professional at all. I have been out of my psych meds for the past few days I have been waiting for a call and… even called them myself to get the issue fixed and I haven't been able to get in contact with the benefits specialist or my case manager at all these past few days. This place needs to be shut down immediately and everyone there needs to have their licenses termed and they not be able to go into this field again.

Just restarted care after more than 5 years of ghosting them and living my best life in another state, the happiest i ever was. Im back in the vally and trying to remove the SMI status, that was wrongfully put on me,… and i was told it was a program for adults who were in the system or grew up in households where the system failed them and to help them get back on their feet. So i joined this program just to find out a year or 2 later what it was. Well my i was told Joycelyn was my cade worker. Just to get a call from a male (i refuse male staff due to personal trauma) claiming to be my caseworker. Was very rude to me. He told me im in the intensive care team the highest level and he needs to meet eith me once a week, i asked why, and he stated he couldn't give an answer because there are no notes to specify why. So i told him i dont appreciate that label because if i was intensive or that much of a risk i wouldnt of survived 5 years without mental health involvement. I even mentioned i do not feel comfortable with him invading in my personal space weekly, and i live over an hour away from the clinic and do not want to deal with the drive, i have motion sickness really bad, and have since i was a child and never grew out of it, so driving more than 30 minutes is torture to my stomache. I was just trying to understand the lable and bring my concerns, but instead he decided to hang up the phone and act like immature, he is definitely in the wrong field and needs a retraining or a reconcideration of his role. Plus i have family im the health field, and i went to college and took psychology classes, its actually against patient rights and other federal laws to withhold information from patients. So there has to be a reson to consider someone intensive, failure disclose the documentation to the patient asking is against the law. And if there were no probable clause and nothing in the notes, then legally they cannot inforce this lable without probable cause or proof.

I had an unpleasant with. A male psychiatrist when I first came. Otherwise my experience has been great. I simply adore Jana she's so nice. And displays compassion and empathy. My most recent case manager Amber. Is very… nice and easy to talk to. And will do what she can. She's leaving COPA to get married. I'm happy for her yet sad. I hate to see her go. Yet she must do what's best for her. Now I must await to. Be assigned to someone new.

Bad customer service all around. I have an appointment at 10:45-11:00 and I was told when I called last week they call me at 8, I called and then copa health said oh they will call you at 10:30. I got up early when I… was told they call me at 8. I’m switching the minute I get caught up on my appointments. I don’t recommend this one.

I’ve read the reviews, I’m so sorry. I have been battling with them my self for my son . They make failed promises, they don’t return calls, they really don’t care. I’m not sure why the Proper authorities have not been… update. Completely lack of communication! And they don’t care.I sat there one time for approximately 2 hours only to meet with a smug case worker, she couldn’t speak with me. Fine but now my son is homeless. When I called the corporate office I was told to throw my son out in the street. How is this helping?

I was given COPA when they were Partners in Recovery. Being designated SMI at a time with drug issues, I felt unheard for a long time. Ever since Janet Foster became my psych & Ari was given my case profile, I couldn’t… ask for a better team. Ari was wonderful & after going through 10+ case workers, she was a breath of fresh air. She did end up leaving after about a year, and I was assigned to Regina with Platinum team. If I could give 100 stars to Regina alone, I would. I cannot foresee having a better case worker than Regina. She’s personable, checks in on me regularly, asks if I ever need help/resources with a simple text message! She gets more done in 1-day for me than any of my previous client case workers could do in months. Janet listens when we have our monthly or semi-monthly appointments. She is wonderful. But I want Regina to receive great praise from the entire treatment team, she is a true MVP for this company. Give her a raise & make sure to not let her quit due to money or anything. She’s extremely valuable in so many ways.

It's hard to make appoiments when you need them. They pick out the times for you. It's hard to reach the doctors or your own case manenger at times. They don't check up on you a lot and they switch case manengers a lot… here. I get to know someone good and then they switch so easy and you have to tell them your story over and over. Some are very rude and never call you back when needed. You get a good person and then they switch you once more. I've seen people go crazy in their building once banging on the windows in frustation, and it's sad. The doctors are rude and want to give you pills you don't need or already taken and they don't listen, and the ones you need they won't prescribe. The only reason I continue is to help my mental health but they make it more hard for people making them more crazy.
