I went in with severe stomach pain, I was throwing up, couldn’t even sit up or talk or walk. Checking in, the nurse was extremely rude and told me “well we just don’t know who’s coming in cause they just want pain pills… or who really needs help” I laid on the er floor for 8 hours throwing up, in the worst pain of my life, and being treated like an addict. 8 hours later I finally got into a room where they told me they were switching er doctors so that’s why it took awhile, turned out my appendix had ruptured. So, take it as a lesson, if you go in in the middle of the night wearing your pjs cause you woke up in the rosy pain ever, they will treat you like an addict an ignore you. Thank you to the nurse who saw I was genuinely sick and finally did something for me. I had an emergency surgery that could’ve cost me my life all because she took one look at my 2 month post partum, middle of the night tired and hurting self and called me a druggie.
There's not an option for zero stars or that's what I would have given them. My 10 year old granddaughter fell at one of the local attractions about a month ago and we feared she'd broken her arm. We arrived at Cox… Medical at 8:30 p.m. Admission was quick, and X-Rays were taken by 9:00 p.m. After that, we, along with about 20-25 others, waited all night in the "Emergency Room" for some service and attention and got none. A Physician's Assistant finally came on duty at 6:00 a.m. and took care of our granddaughter at 6:30, telling us that she did, indeed, have a broken bone in her elbow, and putting a soft cast on it to immobilize the elbow. This took about 15 minutes. But this was after 10-hours sitting in an ER with a broken arm as a 10-year old and not a single soul from the ER came out and checked on her. There was a woman with cancer waiting who was in such pain that she was hyperventilating as she waited. She arrived at midnight and never got seen before 6-7 a.m. Another woman came in around midnight with severe chest pains and was never called back. At least five individuals or couples got up and walked out sometime between 9:00 pm and sunrise, several of them headed to the hospital in Springfield. The incompetence and the lack of compassion for those suffering was maddening and inexcusable. If you get hurt in the Branson area, suck it up and drive to Springfield to be taken care of as it will not happen at this hospital. As you can see we are still furious about it.
Wouldn't take a dog back there.
The CD Unit was very nice. It was clean and very professional. We truly appreciated Patty, RN. She was so thorough and kind! She was doing multiple jobs throughout our stay. Thank you Mrs. Patty!!!!
I wanted to share my experience at Cox hospital in Branson, MO. On 8/31/26 I had a heart catheterization which showed no abnormalities but during the time to be dismissed the incision was bleeding more and I lost… consciousness and my heart stopped. I was told about 12-13 people rushed in and did CPR and got me going again. I spent the night in the hospital. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped me and did a fantastic job and I am forever grateful. The nurses who attended to me during the rest of the day and night are amazing people. Cox is lucky to have these wonderful people working for them. Again I am forever grateful and thankful to these people and to God for letting me stick around for a longer time on this earth. 💕💕
We had the best experience over the weekend at Branson hospital. From the front desk girls, nurses, doctors, and surgeons. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Everyone treated us with respect and was great at… explaining every step of the process. Thank you so much for taking care of my husband and also making sure I was comfortable as well.
Horrible horrible horrible service up front. Stephanie specifically has NO bedside manner and basically told us that after 4 hours, my daughter who had an OPEN laceration to her head with her SKULL exposed, was out of… luck and wasn’t a priority. Then the gentlemen who was with her tried helping us and she claimed giving us ANY helpful tips was a hippa violation & he couldn’t even hardly talk to us without her barking at him. Horrible, disgusting and cold behavior to be speaking to a 3 year old like she was nothing.
Rediculous wait for no aparent reason. Uninterested doctor. However, the nursing staff is great!
My fiancé went in and for them to even give her anything she had to ask for an inhaler and the steroids she needed before they would even give it to her. They did not diagnose her with anything nor give her any… medication until she asked for it this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Avoid this hospital at ALL COSTS. They just put my life in jeopardy and now they get to face my attorney on Monday over it. Violated federal law by refusing my care and I will make sure this is dealt with accordingly. -… Tyler SLOAN
They need to offer transport from Cahill Rd to main hospital. There's a bus stop just no bus. Also, the cafeteria food is a little bit costly.
Dr. Sheny Alex is grade F, 100% HORRIBLE. This man came in yelled, shamed, and treated like utter trash. He repeatedly swore that I have NO infection and NO inflammation though 3 other providers right before him swore i… did and each expressed concern, and thus was the basis of my admission. Yet Dr. Alex still told me to take antibiotics that he repeatedly told me I don't need and shouldn't even take. Oh, and by the way, the wound culture has come back and I DO have an infection, he just didn't want to treat me!!! He uses "your case is too complex" and "we're not qualified" as his laziness get out of jail free card. So Dr. Alex was SCREAMING at us that I'm totally fine and I'm so bad and I'm too complex and Cox Medical Center Branson is unqualified to treat me and nothing is even wrong and there's NOOOOO infection or inflammation, and it turned out I knew what I was talking about and there IS an infection and he was just being lazy and wanted people to have his rage-filled, degrading little tantrum on. Disgusting.
I came here to have my third C-section and my third child. They found out I was carrying a trait when the other hospitals couldn't. They made my c-section as painless as possible. Dr jett did amazing. The staff the… nurses they're all very kind and helpful and didn't give me any reasons to worry about my child safety. They made sure I had breakfast lunch and dinner even when I didn't call. They didn't pressure me to move around too much and I was able to heal up perfect. If I would trust anyone to go to during labor this would definitely be the place and these would definitely be the people. I'm extremely impressed with labor and delivery here. I had so much fear and worries because the previous hospital caused me and my children a lot of issues and even death. This place treated everything important as it is. Shout out to all of their staff. Thank you guys very much for making my last pregnancy as beautiful as it should be.
Worst hospital experience im my life. They left babby with 104 temp in waiting room for 6 hours. Don't go here unless you want to die. I will be requesting state authorities to investigate this place. Terrible experience
Do NOT take an ambulance 🚑 to Branson Cox ESPECIALLY if you've had a stroke and brain surgery. They WILL HARASS YOU. I will NEVER be back.
This is the worst place ever! Scheduled us for a 6pm CT scan and a 7 pm MRi as an out patient. At 7:57 I called the number posted because we had checked in and not seen anyone! The waiting room was dirty and the staff… was not friendly or helpful all the cared about was what time the get to go home. Would not use this location for anything!
All big business. No one knows what health care is. Can be dangerous. Had surgery here. Post-op and billing practices are so bad that it is dangerous. They really don't care about anything but the money they can… collect. They will send you home in worse shape than when you came in, with electrodes still stuck to your back, make you wait in pain as they change appointment times when you arrive. They will charge more than their estimates. Insurance won't pay. They will charge tens of thousands of dollars for violating you.
I want to say a HUGE thank you to the cox staff for being so AMAZING when you treated my daughter. Your compassion and professionalism is unmatched!!! So glad she went to you instead of the hospital in Harrison. HIGHLY… RECOMMEND!!!!
Worst hospital known to man
This hospital is getting worse and worse after a cat scan I was told there was to much weed in my intestines and that my weed smoking was the cause of it even after them seeing the bruising and scratches from my fall I… was also told there was blood in my urine but didn’t pee enough for it to get tested they did not say a word about my urinalysis but tried to make me feel like a junkie talking about the smoke in my intestines guess what smoke goes in your lungs and I haven’t even smoked!
Recently traveled to Branson for vacation and unfortunately needed to visit the ER. The experience from the registration desk to the outpatient pharmacy was great. The hospital was clean and private. The ER doctor (Dr… Schmidt) gathered the information and developed a plan with us. He had the knowledge, experience, and compassion. The ER nurse Kirza and triage nurse Brian were friendly and intelligent. We even received a follow up call a few days later. I truly appreciated everyone there & feel very confident being under care at Cox medical.
I don't know why I come to this hospital. Their pain management is a joke. They let me suffer in pain because they only do the bare minimum. They're always under staffed.
