Fora Health – Portland Detox and Rehab Services

Fora Health – Portland provides addiction detox, dual diagnosis treatment, intensive outpatient program (IOP), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient services (OP) and residential inpatient according to the federal record. Uninsured rehab in Oregon generally costs $1,750 to $5,600 for a week of medical detox, $7,000 to $30,000 a month for residential treatment, $3,000 to $10,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,500 to $5,500 a month for standard outpatient care. RehabSeekers could not find Fora Health – Portland’s own prices at the time of writing, and those amounts describe the state, not this facility.

A typical price takes in accommodation, meals, medical monitoring, the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling. Fora Health may bundle more than that or less. The only way to know is to call and ask what the quoted figure includes.

Horrible facility lie to us over phone saying that as long as we showed up at 730 crossing over from Washington health plan to Oregon health plan would be a breeze, that was a lie that was very rude and snobbish to top… it off there website lists a 24 capacity bedspace and they only accepted 5 seemed more interested in making the whole situation of my girlfriend wanting to quit drugs unnormal then normal I really think this place should be shut down

5/22/26 I walked through the doors of Fora done with EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that had to do with my addiction. Life had did a number on me and I was a tapped out. Thankfully I found my foundation at Fora Health and got… a brand new start! Thanks to the staff, RA’s, AC’s, Front Desks Staff and especially the Mentors! For making my stay at Fora not just welcoming but also helping me through a difficult transition in my life and career.

This review is specifically for Genevieve, one of the family therapists at Fora. Genevieve is truly special. I’ve had multiple therapists and therapist consultations, and she has been the easiest to connect with by far.… She’s thorough and helpful, and has this disarming effect that puts people at ease. I was met with kindness, patience, and zero judgement. She’s personable in a way that makes you feel like you’re not just another patient. She is dedicated to helping people and meeting them where they’re at. Fora is lucky to have her!

Be careful the night staff ain't your friend. They hide things. They made fun of me while I was on my 2nd night of not sleeping and they were talking about my actions when I wasn't try to make sounds with my voice and… colored pencils. I comforted them and they got quite both female and a person in all black clothes hide something. Like a girl threw away tins in the middle of the night and her bag had tins then taken away and a nurse threw away some liquid in the sink two bottles with med caps. Also a group of girls wanted to jump me cause I was a good too shoes. I colored and was nice to very one . The day staff was awesome thou.

Some of the above ratings were not accurate simply due to the fact thst they were second hand hearsay. My son is an inpatient now at ForaHealth and he has no complaints, but to be sure, you'd want to ask him. As far as… my experience with Fora; Fora is reliable and I see that their privacy practices and patient care are ' by the book' re: state statues they must go by.

So my experience at the FORA Health detox clinic was a bit of a mixed bag. The staff are genuinely so supportive, competent, and caring. The resident doctor was very helpful and knowledgeable, and eased my anxiety about… the process. Even the intake assistant was very kind. All of the nurses and techs were extremely friendly and patient, despite dealing with people who are going through very tough withdrawals and can be extremely abrasive or non-responsive. Props to them for that. The staff were also very good at making sure everything was clean and orderly. There’s plenty of snacks and drinks, and the TV room is a nice feature, with books and board games. The staff is definitely understaffed, as it took them about 5 hours to get me my detox meds. My only real complaint has nothing to do with the staff or the facility, but that there was one intake patient who was screaming every 15 minutes, which the staff did nothing to do to stop, like giving him melatonin or escorting him off. That made my detox process pretty wretched, as every time I was about to fall asleep, this moron started screaming and whooping. I should add at this point I had not slept in four days straight. I could tell that it was ruining the detox process for everyone else, as they were constantly being woken by him, and the nurses did drop the ball on that for not handling this situation. When I confronted him, because the staff refused to, he threatened to stab me with a pen and got up in my face. Again, the staff did nothing but make me write a grievance letter. Apparently he’ll be banned for 30 days, so if you’re looking to detox here, I’d suggest doing it now before “J” comes back and tries to stab you with a pencil. (Apparently he’s been here 8 times, a true regular) Overall, FORA health is a very good facility, probably the best in Portland. Just watch out for a man named “J”

Depual Detox center is literally the worst detox place I could EVER think of going. It was absolutely horrific. It was my first time in a treatment center and the staff were okay I suppose but the environment itself is… absolutely awful. I felt like I was in a jail sail and they doped me up in medication too where I couldnt even move for the first 6 too 12 hours. They also gave me a nicotine patch that gave me the most vivid awful nightmares I've ever had in my life. When I woke up I was literally choking on my spit. Right after I decided too leave and detox at home where I'm comfortable. It was literally the worst experience I've literally ever had in my life and I'm serious when I say that that experience will haunt me for the rest of my life.

Have fun trying to get ahold of family staying here for help. I've called quiet a few times over a month and have yet to talk to a person. I've been hung up on numerous times without a hello, or no answer at all. Today… is my fathers birthday and as a daddy's girl I just want to wish him a happy birthday but again a hung up call with No hello or nothing by the staff and when I've called again hours apart no answer. I hope he's being treated better than those trying to check in with family being ignored.

I was a broken, lost and sad man when I first got here. Fora not only helped me get sober but get to the true root of my addiction. I've hit my 3months of sobriety. Couldn't have done it without the wonderful staff… welcoming me, and not letting me feel alone. Fora breeds not only a lifestyle but a family to rely on in your darkest hours. I love all you guys. FORA FAMILY FOREVER!!

All I have to say is that this facility cares more about grant and government funding than the people that they treat. Nerissa H. among many other chief officers main concern is impressing anyone or foundation that is… willing to support increasing their paycheck.

I do not recommend this place to anymore this is a government profit organization with People who are for the money and not genuinely caring when it comes to care if you can look elsewhere.

Kept me for one and a half days, had no caseworker speak with me, discharged me like I was happy go lucky and I've been raw dogging my detox at home hoping I dont die ever since. I wasn't cruel or mean to anyone, I did… nothing to warrant ill treatment. And im pretty sure there was money and a pack of smokes missing from my effects. Oh and while im at it, I heard two people basically choking on their own vomit and the nurses could not possibly be less quick to respond. Im actually AMAZED no one died while I was there. I legitimately hope you're all fired, have a nice day. I'll give you one star though for having some good books in the library. Well done.
