Gateway Campus Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Gateway Campus bring together what patients, families and referring professionals have said about the facility, on RehabSeekers and around the web. Individual experiences differ, so read more than one.
They don't do their job. They don't answer or respond. Just go somewhere else for mental health.
One of the worst places in the city for mental health services.
This place is trash. There's a few good caseworkers. But you have to go through a litany of untrained inexperienced, uncaring and unkind people just to get to them. Pick anywhere else but here.
I have had no problems up until recently. I have been on the same medication regime for 7 years. Their new psychiatrist Haydee, decided she wants mess with my medications that have been working for my anxiety and… depression. It took me a decade to find a regime that worked. She did not listen when I said this nor did she care. She was very unprofessional. I wonder if she is the psychiatrist that disregarded another person in a previous post. She does not care about her patients feelings or wellbeing. I do not recommend
Dr. Jennifer Anderson and staff changed my life! I came in straight from prison almost 2 years ago, was on Suboxone but they got me on the Sublicade shot and got me off of Suboxone within the year and treated my ADHD so… well that I am now reunited with my family after 10 years of divorce. My wife and daughters thank you as well. Thank you COPA
This place is good to get your medications right and straight with God
It has gotten worse over the past 3+ years I've been coming to this facility. Im sure there are plenty of reasons why this place has gone to shit but im tired of excuses and constantly falling through the cracks.
Awful don’t come here they bill for appointments you have no idea you had. The nurse practitioner doesn’t know what he’s doing. There is not enough staff but they keep accepting more patients. You will not get good… service here. The case workers (when they have them) don’t help you they just bs you and lie to you say they are putting in referrals but never do. If you care about your mental health don’t go here
I came in to be treated for anxiety and adhd. The psyche states I had executive dysfunction. I go to fill my prescription they say theres no adhd rx available. I call the psyche, she doesn’t return my call but her… assistant does and says “she felt that you didn’t need the medication” how she comes to that conclusion after concluding my disorder affects my daily life (including the fact I’d already been on the medication prior to my previous facilities’ closing) is beyond me. She had dirt under her nails and didn’t seem all there herself so it tracks. Zero stars.
1.8 stars feels generous based on our experience. I’m sharing this in hopes that it leads to accountability and improvement. For over a year, we have tried to get this clinic to follow through on what they repeatedly… said they would do for our son. It has been extremely difficult to get the psychiatrist to follow up on promised referrals and services. When we attempted to switch providers, the new psychiatrist offered little more than prescribing medication and scheduling a quick follow-up, with no meaningful engagement in his care. We also tried group services, but many were not a good fit for him. When we did find one he was interested in, the clinic could not coordinate transportation properly. There were multiple instances where transportation showed up on the wrong days—days when he didn’t even have group scheduled. It took nearly a full year just to receive a referral for a service they had been recommending all along, with constant excuses for the delay. As his parent and advocate, I have escalated concerns to the clinical director, and I am now considering going higher because very little has changed. Communication is a major issue. Calls are often transferred to busy signals or voicemail, and callbacks are rare. Staff now seem to recognize me and respond with noticeable frustration, simply because I have to repeatedly follow up. There is also a lack of basic follow-through. No one consistently checks in on his treatment progress, and when concerns are raised, they are met with excuses rather than solutions. Even simple requests—like updating his phone number—have been made multiple times and still have not been corrected. If something this basic cannot be handled, it’s hard to have confidence in the more important aspects of care.
The best involuntary mental health care a patient can get.
I cannot rate this place low enough. It's impossible to tell if the awful treatment here is due to malevolence or incompetence, but Pariss is the worst mental health professional I have ever dealt with and Dr. Mohammed… is the worst psychiatrist.
I'm doing this review for a specific person (Tony LaRocca). He is the best case manager, ever!! I've had quite a few, over the years. He's always kind, compassionate, professional and well organized. His follow through… is excellent! He is extremely supportive, and checks in with me, often. I believe he's been my case manager for approximately seven years? I certainly hope he stays. The mental health profession needs more people like him!
If you have issues with Copa Health each individual must report/submit their argument to the Attorney General.
Case manager quit last year and if our family really needed help..We would be screwed by now. -Called for ideas about voc rehab that was promised to my family member. That rehab person, who was always rude, is and has… been gone (jerry) but they didnt tell us. Had to find out. They dont care. They are a huge mess. They offered me a job a couple years ago but I have a friend in the industry and he said to, "run." Sorry if u are stuck with this agency. Really am. The doctor has about 200 patients and would rather brag about his military experience and talk down to people who are brighter than he
All they do is harass me constantly. I’m seeing a new psychiatrist. And she has tried to call them several times but they ignore her. But her harass me. It’s to the point my new psychiatrist wants to press legal charges… on this place. Stop harassing people. We are normal people with mental health issues. We don’t need to be harassed all week long. Especially when we work jobs and can’t answer the phone. Stop calling me.
I am an Uber driver who just picked someone up here, they have been abused by this place horribly. It's not my business to go into detail what they told me but it is absolutely horrifying. Before writing this review I… decided to read the other reviews on this place and it is no surprise that the three five star reviews that are there one of which doesn't have any details and the other two the text that is added to the review makes it clear that these people were not clients of this facility. Based on what my passenger just told me and the reviews I am reading on this place and their other facilities around Phoenix this place really needs to be investigated by the AG's office.
Be aware of this company. They file false claims to the insurance companies under “Partners recovery gateway” It’s straight up fraud and abuse . I never been seen by this Copa health but somehow they submitted two… separate claims to my insurance company and got paid for services they didn’t provide. I reported them already.
I been waiting for Lea Jackson to send my stuff over to my new clinic I already sent over all the signed forms she needed. This is the worst clinic I’ve ever been too first and last time getting services from here. Been… going back and forth for over 2 weeks it’s frustrating lack of urgency believe the comments go elsewhere.
I've attempted to terminate services with COPA's Gateway ACT team numerous times both in person, and by email, and I've been ignored or just told no (essentially). I highly recommend staying away from COPA if you can.… They don't seem to request client/patients wishes at all.
I transferred to Copa Health from a different clinic to finish my COT. They said they didn’t receive my chart from my other clinic, so they basically started me from scratch. The diagnoses they labeled on my file…or… what they say the hospital did is misdiagnosed. After my COT i’m trying to get a certification and reverse the diagnosis but COPA HEALTH is reluctant to give the certification, and a lady called Paris took me on a wild Goose chase of misinformation. When I called back and voiced that out, she was silent.
Psychiatrist Muhammad disregarded proof that my diagnosis of Bipolar 1 is inaccurate, and that the hypomania/mania episodes were caused by substance/medication which invalidates criteria for Bipolar 1. Everything about… Copa Gateway seems okay EXCEPT the incompetent psychiatrist who didn’t want to help me with my depression and issues
Just go somewhere else your life matters!!!!!
Hey guys! So I have some fun stuff to share with you 💁🏾♀️ I’ve been at Copa health gateway for two years and for two years I’ve been abused neglected threaten dehumanized and discriminated against. I have multiple… recordings of the neglect and abuse verbally, physically, mentally, emotionally, force, misrepresentation of the law, retaliation, and aggression from the staff inside copa health gateway. I’ve even showed them the device I was recording the interactions I’ve had with staff over the phone/zoom calls and in person. They choose not to believe me. I’ve recently caught them perjuring the courts and corresponding emails with said perjury on gateway’s side. How to maintain your sanity, freedoms, legal rights, and your lively hood and over all health welling being. 1: Read your COT paperwork often and any and all updates on said case. 2: keep a recording device on you at all times when dealing with these people they will give you a wrong diagnosis on purpose just to use you as a form of extortion just to get money from the state since places like this have contracts with the courts. 3: ask for copies of all your paperwork including your med records. 4: get a mental health POA And make sure every last paper is detailed in how you’d like to be care for while dealing with mental health. Yes you can add more pages too your MHPOA paperwork. MHPOA have a HIPPA waiver. 5: read and know you’re rights contact the state, mercy care, medical board, board of nursing, an attorney, AG’s office, and APS. yes these places will do something even you contacting some them frequently with evidence and updates. That will give the state notice. 6: get a lawyer. Most (there is probably more then that I just don’t know) malpractice attorneys are contingency based. 7: Your COT is only valid in Arizona so if you leave the state they can’t chase you or make you come back. Especially if you didn’t commit a crime you are golden ✌🏾
