About Groups Recover Together – Ellsworth

Groups Recover Together operates from 34 Downeast Highway in Ellsworth. The site sits in Hancock County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Groups Recover Together

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine is available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Groups Recover Together Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 34 Downeast Highway, Ellsworth, ME 04605, in Hancock County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Interpreting services including ASL are available on request. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip.

I recently got out of prison and had no support network set up and luckily I reached out to Groups. I immediately got support not only in securing my medication of Suboxone but emotional support from a councilor and… being part of a group session. I literally would not have had the success I’ve had this first month out , I believe , if I had not became a member of GROUPS !

Groups has helped me stay accountable. The group that I am in is very supportive and I have never felt judged. I don't think I would have gotten this far without groups.

The new trainee Monya is ROUGH. Fighting with clients wasting group time, announcing peoples private details to the group, only looking to check boxes and punch out end of day- substance abuse recovery isn’t the line of… work for her. Ego problems are rampant enough in the healthcare system. People trying to do their best don’t need that kind of stubborn stupidity knocking them back. If clients’ sobriety aren’t affected by Monya’s attitude it will be a blessing.

I’m leaving one star because when I have issues with my phone on group day I can never reach you guys! How about actually list the office number online. I’ve been asking for years for you guys to put it up. Was on hold… for over 8 minutes and then was prompted to press pound for a call back and group is now closed.

My true experience with groups Recover together. I was so scared to reach out for help, but knew I needed it or my life would end,. Everyone around me were dropping like flies in winter. I decided to go there because of… one of my my friends that no longer would be around me . She said you go get help at Groups and then we can talk again. Thank God for those words she spoke. I did just that, I was so scared my family would find out and that I would fail again. NO just the opposite happened. The way the Councilor's and Doctors and Staff are and the way the whole program is set up is perfect for anyone that truly wants recovery. They treat you like family but firm and caring positive help. I owe them all Thanks for everything they have done for me and my Life, that I truly believe I wouldn't have right now if it wasn't for them.

Some one I’m my group broke privacy laws by having other adults in the room during group. I brought it to the attention of the counselor and they did nothing at all . They tried to move me to another group. When I said… that’s not fair they accused me of threatening the counselor!!! If saying my privacy is not being respected and it is against the law . Then I guess that’s a threat. The truth of the matter is I have had 7 full time counselors in 2 years here. Thank god I was ready to recover on my own. This is a profit based company that dose not care for there clients at all.

I love my counselor, they help you out even if it's not necessarily addiction related. They're so understanding and all the reception ladies are so kind. 100% review. The doctor I have is amazing too, so helpful and… kind.

Groups counselors will be there every step of the way for you, they are also very laid back if you mess up you most likely will not loose your medication and that helps me breathe a bit easier!!

Groups should not have any kind of bad review. I lost everything in my spiral and I truly do not believe I would be where I am at today had it not been for their program as well as every member of their team. They make… you feel like a normal human being again. That was part of the recovery for me was the judgement free atmosphere, all the additional help, surrounded by people who have gone through what you have and share their experience as well as personal ways to cope with whatever you may be going though!

They are a joke. A councilor there made a promise just to get me off the phone. They pick and choose their cases as to who gets what. Their not there to help their three to get the states money. At the end of the day… run go elsewhere.

I think it's great how Groups has evolved and made good changes to support all stages of Recovery. Recovery is a different path and distance for everyone and Groups recognizes this. Thank you
