Longleaf Recovery – Birmingham Reviews
What patients and their families say about Longleaf Recovery sits alongside the licensing and accreditation detail on this page. Reading the two together gives a fuller picture of this Birmingham program than either gives alone.
I got here a complete disaster, a train wreck. I'm not saying I'm not one now, but I am able to function. From my initial phone call, through the intake process, into actually interacting with Dr Carpenter and his team,… the experience has been warm and inviting. I've been to a few treatment centers, hell, I have been kicked out of more psych facilities then you'll ever set foot in, so I know what I'm talking about. The building is beautiful, the environment comfortable, the staff kind, and Dr Carpenter actually heard what I had to say- and that means a lot to getting my medications balanced. Is everything all rosy now? No, but it certainly feels a lot brighter than the darkness I walked in with. Thank you.
Longleaf Recovery & Wellness has been an incredible resource for people looking for help, support, and a path forward. The staff truly cares about the people they serve and creates an environment where you feel… respected, heard, and encouraged. What impressed me most was the compassion, professionalism, and commitment from the entire team. Recovery and mental health challenges can be difficult, but having people who genuinely care and provide the right support makes a huge difference. I’m grateful for the work Longleaf is doing in the Birmingham community and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality care and a team that treats people with dignity.
I cannot say enough good things about Longleaf Wellness in Birmingham. If you are looking for mental health treatment in the Birmingham area that truly feels personal and professional, this is the place. From the very… first phone call with Katie, their team made the process simple and welcoming. They helped verify my commercial insurance quickly and explained my options clearly, which took away so much stress. It is hard to find a mental health provider in Birmingham that accepts commercial insurance and also provides this level of individualized care. If you are searching for mental health treatment in Birmingham that accepts commercial insurance and prioritizes real healing, I highly recommend Longleaf Wellness.
Longleaf Wellness is a truly special place. The care, professionalism, and heart that go into the program are evident the moment you walk in. The environment is calm, well-designed, and deeply supportive — creating a… sense of safety and ease that is so important in the healing process. The team brings compassion, integrity, and presence to their work, and it shows in the overall feel of the space and the quality of care provided. I’m grateful for what Longleaf offers and for the positive impact they are making in the lives of individuals and the surrounding community.
The staff is top tier, they are caring and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone needing a safe place to work on mental health issues.
Any referral I’ve ever sent has been treated with care and dignity. Highly recommend.
