this place is life changing !! the staff are so supportive and you will meet the best people here. don’t hesitate :) they are literally life changers and will help you support and grow throughout your mental health… journey . much love to the staff and anyone who starts here , you’ve got it.
Unfortunately, my experience with Mission Connection was truly disappointing. My therapist, Nicole, was the most unsupportive therapist I’ve ever had and, while I was there, I was not the only one that thought so. My… bed was given away without proper notice and I was lied to multiple times by staff and my therapist, leaving me to find my own aftercare. I was lucky enough to find a place that would take me in right away as I did not want to stay at Mission Connection any longer. This is not the place to go if you care about your mental health. Groups are lackluster and are mainly focused around conversion rather than any actual learning. They advertised this program as a dual diagnosis program to me, saying they’d offer transportation to meetings, which they never did apart from an optional AA meeting once a week. While the CC’s are all amazing at their job, I’d overall not recommend this program at all even if I hadn’t had the issues with my bed. I truly think AMFM’s residential program was amazing for my mental health but their PHP program is extremely lacking in quality.
Great place. Remember it is what you make of it! Staff is great. And really willing to work with you to get what you need!!
PHP is definitely an amazing place to get treatment. Groups and staff are great! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants help. It’s helping me to be the true me. Kat the director is one of the best!!
I was ar AMFM Mission Connection in the Barona house for 2.5mos. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. The majority of my growth came from interacting with my housemates. Therapy is once a week and medication… management appointments are biweekly. It does take about two weeks before you are on a regular schedule with everything and it does feel like a slow start, but overall this is a fantastic program that has saved my life!
My experience has been here amazing and I love this place. They have helped me with so much in my life and getting me back on the right track and they care so much the places I was in because I’m from Colorado. They’re… not that fun and they seem like they really don’t care about their job, but these people do and I would suggest this place to anybody that that’s going through the same thing that I’m going through. and I want to add more to this I am grateful for AFM and I love everything about them and I knew how they care about people because any other program I would literally go to them because when I first came to California, that’s the first program that I went to to residential and then to a mission connection and I felt comfortable with them because they know me and I feel comfortable and safe and they know how to take care and because in the past, I had a lot of places give up on me because they say that they’re gonna help me and they’re gonna give me the treatment that I need that they’re gonna help and they’re not gonna let me be out there until I get the treatment that I need and knowing how I’m gonna do and not gonna give up on me, but that never happens because that’s just who I am and I was born like that and they didn’t give up on me and now I’m at another program and this program is OK but it’s not the program that I thought it was now I’m trying to go to another one, but I was hoping to be with AFM again but but you guys are amazing and thank you for everything you have done. I hope that we meet differently I love cat. I love Sandy. I love Skylar. I love Don including Jordan Ray, and all the therapist Priska and to John’s and everybody there and I’m gonna miss all you I was hoping to come back to you guys again because Lido is not the program for me but it’s not everybody’s cup of tea but I know this is we’re adding onto this review but I just wanna say thank you so much and I hope to see you guys again under different surface stances and hopefully yeah so I wish you the best. Thank you so much for what you have done and if if yeah, so thank you for not giving up on me and thank you for give me the treatment that I needed and yeah thank you very much and I’m just yeah thank you very much thank you thank you very much for the bottom of my heart and you guys are awesome and keep what you’re doing. Don’t give up on people who have gone for programs that give up on them you guys are not that program that gives up on people and you guys will find away with OCDADHD or any other problems with a mental health because I feel like those are a part of mental health that that’s how that person’s gonna move forward and you guys are going to find and go away with that and you guys are gonna do a good job with it and you’re doing a good job with it now and thank you for you guys and I hope that everything goes well with you guys. Thank you. The staff is amazing and everybody there is amazing so thank you very much.
Thank you for everything you have made my life different in so many ways it was tough but nothing was gonna get in my way off being a new person rouph raids ahead but I'm a fast driver and will finish the race thank you… kat kaylin and prisca.
Mission.\nConnection is a wonderful place. The treatment that I have received here has been very helpful and has taught me coping skills and tools that I can apply to my life. And for that , I am so grateful
A Mission for Michael has helped me in so many ways, from my depression and anxiety to my extreme people pleasing habits. The staff has always been friendly and the sessions always helpful. Totally would recommend!
It was an amazing experience. I got a lot out of this program and felt it befitted me greatly. I found the staff and therapists to be helpful as well as group and individual therapy. There were a few hiccups with the… program which is why I didn’t give five stars. Overall though, it was good.
This is one of the best programs I have ever attended their houses are clean and ten staff are so kind and helpful when you need them their rules and expectations are very fair and easy to follow some of the clients… here have become some of my what friends it is truly amazing here and I’ve been to a lot of programs and this is definitely one of my favorites if you struggle with severe anxiety and social skills and have a lot of childhood trauma or anything this is an amazing place to get that support and help you are looking for they do team building and amazing g one on ones I definitely recommend this 100/10🥰🥰
The absolute worst treatment center I’ve ever been to. This place does the absolute bare minimum. The facility is gross. The “supportive” housing is crowded and the food budget is not adequate for the amount of men in… the house. If you want to be treated subhuman come here. I would say if you wanted be treated like a child, come here, but children don’t deserve to be treated like this either. If you want to be lied to, accused of lying, gaslighted, bossed around, mocked, patronized, then this is the place for you. The groups are boring and useless. Most groups are spent off-topic with people just talking about random shit.
A Mission for Michael is a great resource for anyone looking for help during crisis or when you're just struggling/too stressed to deal with everyday life. As a new mom, this program has helped me navigate a huge life… change and identity-shift. The staff are warm, welcoming and willing to work with you every step of the way. The instructors are life-long learners themselves and are eager to teach out of an abundance of resources. Take advantage of the help that is available here!
