Our entire family, not just our son, benefited from Newport's unique care. I do not know of any other organization that has a system quite like theirs that teaches coping skills along with a treatment team constructed… like a hub and spokes that address all the needs of each family member. Looking at attachment systems that can affect a stable environment at home help to create an environment where readjustment is easier to return to. This PHP is also exceptional at continuing the kind of care young adults experience at their residential locations. The care and concern that counselors and staff show make our kids feel valued and safe. I often recommend Newport as the first and only choice, if it's available.
The staff is incredibly caring and responsive and work with teens and their families to make a real difference. Parents will feel deeply heard and involved in their child's care.

While my insurance wouldn't cover the PHP program, the Newport Academy staff (particularly Monica) was incredibly responsive and extremely supportive in helping me try to work with insurance to get the service covered.… I will also note that someone always answered the phone when I called which is a feat in and of itself w/r/t to medical practices in Northern Virginia (esp. mental health). I greatly appreciate the care and support Newport provided!
