Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health – Arlington Reviews
Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health in Arlington can be understood partly through its license and accreditation, and partly through what patients say. Read their reviews here, and leave one if you have been in treatment at the facility.
During a particularly challenging chapter in my life, finding Kolmac offered a vital sense of stability and a clear path toward personal growth. Having a supportive environment made all the difference in helping me… regain my footing and take meaningful steps forward. Jeffrey Starr has been an essential part of that progress. As my counselor, he brings a unique balance of professional insight and genuine, approachable kindness to every session. His steady guidance and thoughtful advice have consistently helped me navigate obstacles and maintain my focus week after week. I want to express my deepest appreciation to the team at Kolmac for the safe and structured space they provide, and to Jeffrey specifically for his unwavering support and dedication to my well-being.
Jeffrey Starr is an outstanding addiction therapist. He is compassionate, thoughtful, and genuinely listens, while providing practical guidance without judgment. I’ve found his approach extremely helpful and would… highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and caring therapist at Kolmac.
Even one star feels too generous for the experience I had at this clinic. My experience with Jeffrey Starr, who works as a counselor here, was absolutely unacceptable. I found his attitude toward patients to be rude,… disrespectful, condescending, and at times openly mocking. This is completely inappropriate behavior for anyone working in addiction and mental health services. People come to places like this when they are vulnerable and looking for help, compassion, dignity, and professional support. They should never be made to feel humiliated, belittled, or treated like they are a joke. I genuinely question how Jeffrey Starr is allowed to work with vulnerable patients while communicating with people in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. A counselor’s job is to support people, listen to them, and create a safe environment — not speak down to them, ridicule them, or make them feel worse than they already do. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise people to think twice before seeking treatment here, especially if they are going to be dealing with Jeffrey Starr. The management of this clinic should seriously review the way Jeffrey Starr interacts with patients. Mental health and addiction treatment require empathy, patience, respect, and basic human decency. In my experience, those qualities were seriously lacking. People seeking help deserve to be treated like human beings.
This team was welcoming and supportive from the day I walked in the door. The front desk was friendly, and my therapist took the time to really get to know me, creating a plan to work around everything I had going on at… the time. Now, I have 10 months of sobriety and so many areas of my life have improved. Extremely grateful for my time here!
Great place to get treatment.
Wonderful and great staff! When you’re ready to get help this is the place for you!
A trusted referral partner with a fantastic team and a well-run program. They’re reliable, easy to work with and always provide great care for those we refer.
The Arlington staff is passionate about the work they do in the recovery community. Thank you Kolmac
The staff here truly care and support each patient every step of the way. The therapist, medical team, and behavioral health tech create a safe space where patients are able to open up and learn new coping skills.… Kolmac Arlington is a great place to send family, friends, anyone!
A organization working to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorder.
I thought this place was going to be the final step to my recovery journey. I am looking for medical help by a clinic in network with my insurance. Spoke with a lady on the phone the first day, and she said they were in… network and had that the dose I’m taking now was around an average dose. I finally thought I found it. Somewhere I don’t have to pay out of pocket. She told me I would receive a call the next day, to finish my intake. However once I got the call I was informed that they don’t even prescribe my medication at this clinic. I am truly heartbroken. Obviously they need to get all the staff on the same page, so this won’t happen to another patient.
I thought that the rest of my life would be filled with alcohol, sadness and hopelessness. Then I found Kolmac recovery center. Through intensive outpatient treatment I was able to find hope for a more acceptable way to… live. My life has changed and I am in the best place I have ever known. I am sober for 6 months and have no desire to return to alcohol. The 43 years of abuse has left its scares and now through Level 1 treatment and the guidance of the most incredible person, I am restructuring the way I think of myself and the way I live my life. There is hope! TR
