This review is specific to Nicole Arthur and the predatory billing practices being used by her and Allina. My son was referred to Nicole for treatment. Her only locations for service happen to be connected to hospitals.… Separate entrance, not actually in the hospital. We were told these visits would be covered by insurance. Imagine the surprise when we received a bill for over $900. This was billed as a hospital visit and also included facility fees. The facility fees were different for each visit. Allina has yet to explain how the facility fees are assessed. Allina also told us facility fees can be assigned for virtual visits. Yeah, process that one. Insurance has told us Nicole can do her own billing rather than have the hospital do it and that could mitigate the hospital visit fee. We have tried to contact Nicole directly to discuss, but she refuses to return our phone calls. My son is now spiraling because of the costs and regrets trying to get help. He is worse than when we started. We stated this in our messages to Nicole, she seemingly does not care.

horribly billing, horrible management, rude call handlers. have 3 different bills for a 3 hour visit, requested itemized bill 3 weeks ago, and have nothing, was told could get by email then not, complete joke of a… hospital, I do not recommend anyone go here

This hospital has a ER nurse named Jared who is the nastiest person to patients. You already come sick and not feeling well and this disgusting human makes the experience so much worse! He talks rude to patients and… masks it as being nice. He almost ripped my IV and demanded I leave for discharge. I recommend if you come here for there very basic services you request any nurse but Jared.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ Review of Vanessa’s Review Vanessa delivers a concise emergency-room horror story with a familiar opening: “Your blood and urine look fine, so you can leave.” The slight complication is that she also reports… uncontrolled vomiting, chest pain, and a blood pressure of 201/140—a collection of symptoms most people would not describe as the deluxe discharge package. The review’s strongest point is its directness. There is no wandering subplot, no ten-paragraph backstory, and no attempt to soften the accusation. Just abnormal vital signs, serious symptoms, and the impression that the staff were more interested in clearing a room than explaining why discharge was considered safe. However, the review provides no test results, diagnosis, treatment details, or follow-up outcome, so readers cannot evaluate the full medical reasoning. “Blood and urine look fine” may have been an oversimplified summary rather than the entire assessment—but that is exactly why clear communication matters. **Final rating: 2/5—serious allegations and an alarming blood-pressure claim, but not enough clinical context to determine whether this was negligence or catastrophically poor bedside explanation.**

I have had Zero good experiences with dealing with Jared in the ER. The guys is out right rude. Very arrogant. Acted like it was such a problem to be helping patients let alone in a kindly matter. Isnt that your job?… Treat others the way you want to be treated. He even talks down to fellow employees. Nothing good to say about him. I hope the hospital takes accountability and sends him on his way. Very rude individual

GO TO Mankato or Rochester Mayo If i could give zero stars for this Allina, i would. The majority of the nurses and Drs are rude and only try to push you out the door rather than trying to figure out the problem. Blood… and urine look fine, you can leave.... with my blood pressure spiking at 201/140 and uncontrolled vomiting and chest pains. Smh.

A family had pain in there leg and they act like nothing wrong. Nurse didn't ever care and had ever excuse in the world. Now this family member is at another hospital with a infection which could of killed them.

It has been 6 months since my father passed away in this hospital. He wasnt exactly healthy but he still had some time. CNP Renae Ann Lapham was ruthless and should get her license revoked. I already shared this with… Allina, however, they of course did what one would expect and completely dismissed what I saw. They overdosed my father. Go to a different hospital, trust me. 💜

I had to go here after being sent to the ER for mental reasons. Best help I’ve gotten since starting my road to recovery for mental health.

Worst experience ever. Went there with a stomach infection hoping to get antibiotics to kill the bug, the only thing the doctor prescribed was pills for nausea, obviously I didn’t get any better and ended up paying… another visit in a different hospital.

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. My dad was brought there a few times over the last month, the first time for a GI bleed, the next 3 times staff in the ER sent him home and said "he's fine". They… were incredibly rude and short with us and I'm pretty sure they thought I was lying when I said dad needed 1:1 care while there. They're response to that was "does he get 1:1 care at home? I said no but at home he doesn't have an IV in, has his walker and is familiar with home. After sending him to Albert Lea ER, we found out he's in congestive heart failure and one of the valves in his heart is almost fully closed. Shame on Owatonna ER staff for not checking into Dad's shortness of breath a month ago when I brought it up the first time. I will NEVER go to Owatonna ER again.

In 2022, I was placed on an involuntary 72 hour hold by another hospital. It was extremely unwarranted and I was threatened with physical violence and had my human rights violated. That hospital sent me to the inpatient… facility at Owatonna. Based on the experience at Buffalo, I was extremely standoffish. I was hysterical. I told them I would not speak with them, I would not let them touch me, I wanted to call my family because buffalo would not let me contact my family and they actually trespassed my entire family from their hospital for literally no reason after my family convinced me to just stay and do what they asked. The nurse was taken aback and asked what happened and I explained and she basically said “oh my god, I’m so sorry. We won’t do that here. We’re going to help you.” And something in her voice made me believe her. I think it took a day and a half maybe to talk to the psychiatrist, but he’s the reason I’m writing this review. He released me before the 72 hour hold was up and said he didn’t believe I needed to be there. He joked with me. I even made jokes that other psychs might’ve held me longer for making and when I ended with a “whoops, shouldn’t have let that one slip” he laughed with me and said no, it shows me you have a healthy coping mechanism. He really just talked to me like a human being and that’s not something I’ve dealt with in my 15 years of experience being treated for mental health conditions. He also went out of his way to call my primary care doctor and tell her he thought she was doing a great job with the medication aspect of my treatment, and when I saw her again she was really surprised he did that and said it was really nice. I don’t remember his name, but I wanted to write this review just to give him a little recognition because he deserves it. I’ve met with probably 10-12 psychiatrists in my life and he was by far the kindest, smartest, most human psychiatrist I’ve met.

Absolutely The Number 1 place I recommend for health emergencies or Issues. I live near Rochester and drive an Hour to Owatonna because of how caring the Staff is and the Doctors really know what they are doing and make… sure you leave knowing your next steps and feeling better. Dr. Knutson is by far the best I've had in my life. I've had tooth infection before but he stopped the spread and pain quickly and set me up with an oral surgeon. Thank you

I repeatedly asked to see the doctor and repeatedly demanded to be discharged, yet requests were ignored by multiple hospital personnel. In fact, I was not seen by the doctor for nearly 32 hours, despite multiple… requests to be seen. I was released an hour after seeing a doctor. I will actively avoid Allina Hospitals after this event. I will be contacting the State of MN Dept of Health for them to follow up on this as they didn't follow MN statues and the fact that they held me against my will. Looks like there are many similar reviews, maybe it's time for a class action.

Allina misdiagnosed my cancer. Thankfully, Mayo Clinic got it right and saved my life. I will NEVER go to any Allina affiliate for any type of health care. Response to Allina: interesting how you care now, when I make… the issue public. But no need to discuss further, there is no possible way I would trust you with my healthcare ever again. We are done here.

Around Christmas we took our daughter here for stomach pain, hip pain, and a fever. Diagnosed with constipation after an abdominal x-ray. Her condition progresses and we come back again about a month later with hip… pain, arm pain and a fever. After blood diagnostics, it’s determined that we should be seen at childrens in Minneapolis for a possible cancer diagnosis. I would recommend strongly that you think twice about using this hospital if your condition is going to require any type of analysis.

The emergency room is such unreliable place. My wife went there because of stroke symptoms of speech and her headache she has had since Nov 30th 2022. The read her radiology reports. They said it was a hole in her spine… that was causing all the symptoms. Find out today from her pain specialist that she did have stroke and she doesn't have a hole her spine. We thought we would go there give them chance again. They just failed again. Don't trust this hospital.
