One of the receptionists on the 4th floor on September 3, 2026 in the early afternoon needs an attitude adjustment and a lesson in critical thinking (the one wearing a mask). I've had enough of this place. Going to use… any other clinic if I can. I even had a different Mayo employee point out that they use the new clinic at Northbridge. That speaks volumes. Another customer came in while we were waiting also clearly had a significant issue with how things are running around here. With all the closures and cut backs Mayo managed to turn something that in the past had been a 20 minute visit to the clinic at Hy-Vee into a multi-point multi-day process. Figure it out Mayo. I give one extra star for convenient parking.

I love their piano! I had not had a piano to play in 2 years. I was so happy to sit and play again even though I'm not too good. Their coffee shop, cafeteria, coffee and gift shop are awesome too. And after begging them… to get my name right (and them telling me they "couldn't"), they finally got it right to send me a bill! Of course. However, I tried another clinic and now Mayo looks better due to horrendous treatment elsewhere.

My husband went to the ER in Albert Lea for a possible TIA. The staff did well examining him…they thought it would be best to be transferred to Austin hospital for an MRI. we got to the ER around 4:30….at 8:30 I went… home as they said he would be transferred soon. At 2:30 am they took him! . They do not have the type of MRI machine for people with a pacemaker at the AUSTIN hospital. My husband has a pacemaker so they could not do the MRI which is why he was transferred!! This should not have happened! They knew he had a pacemaker…he should have been transferred to an appropriate hospital that was equipped with an MRI machine that works for patients with a pacemaker. Totally unacceptable! I was born at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea in 1947, long before it became part of the Mayo Clinic Health System. Because of that, this hospital will always hold a special place in my heart. It is more than just a… medical facility to me—it is where my life began. Over the years, the hospital has grown and changed, serving generations of families in the community while continuing its mission of caring for others. When I visit or think about the hospital today, I am filled with fond memories and a deep sense of gratitude. Knowing that this historic institution has been a part of my life from the very beginning makes it a place of both personal significance and sentimental value.Provide your feedback on BizChat

Would give no stars if possible. Not smart getting rid of your on-site respiratory therapists at night. You overtask your RN's who have little to no knowledge operating a vent and intubating. Compromising patient safety… to save the company a couple bucks. I'd advise anyone going here to seriously consider going somewhere else.

For the disrespect to the respiratory therapists you have shown, that YOU feel do not matter. Do you know nurses call respiratory before they call a physician when the SpO2 starts dropping? All you’re doing is hurting… the patients. Good luck ✨

Mayo Clinic is not treating patients appropriately. They are not training their people correctly. Why are Mayo staff touching people, moving people's clothes, exposing people's bodies, without saying anything? If you're… going to pull my shirt up, you should say first, oh I'm going to lift your shirt now. Mayo Clinic is training their staff to have no respect. This is not the first time.

I got into urgent care same day which was a surprise as usually it takes at least 1 day to get in. I was prescribed antibiotics. The Clinic deemed having to be pre-authorized. I contacted my insurance company and they… said that was it necessary. my insured company contacted the clinic so I can get my medicine and here. I am two days later and I still don’t have my antibiotics.

Do Not go to any Fountain Centers treatments or Board and Lodges! Should you have any medical problem after that you will no longer be able to get any medications that you can't already buy at the grocery store. I was… being prescribed stimulant medication for ADHD. I went to the Board and Lodge after completing Mn Adult and teen challenge. I went there for additional structuring and help in my recovery along with temporary housing. They told me stimulant medications are not allowed. I understood and though tough I stopped taking my medication. Just until I could be fully ready to be back on my own again. When I moved on from here my stimulant medications were completely cut off and after multiple appointments and testing I've been told I can not be prescribed stimulants anymore because i have had a substance use disorder. I went to treatment in patient completed then went to the board and Lodge. I trusted them with my medical history. And by doing so they took away what I need to be able to achieve true success. Without my medications sitting under a roof attempting to concentrate has always been very tough for me. I trusted this place thinking they would be of some benefit to my life they treated me like scum for no reason in the outpatient program. If you go here, and then God forbid one day in the future you get hurt badly and need medicine. You will Not get it. They will see that you have had an issue with any kind of mood altering substance, and you'll end up being told you need to schedule more appointments in order to receive help and at each appointment they will talk to you like they're going to eventually help you they will have you take tests MRI's scans x-rays and after they had seen i had a snapped titanium rod , a failed spinal fusion, right in front of them, they tell me the very best they can do is give me a certain med. I take it I've been taking it for about 10 months now and it does nothing. Absolutely nothing. It does fog my thinking up a little bit make my vision blurry, and make my eyes swantive to the sun. It's Gabapentin. I tell them it doesn't work and they begin prescribing me SSRI and SNRI's. Which are very dangerous and harmful to your brain and body chemistry. They tell you you'll receive help. I promise you, if you go here, you will never again be able to get medications that work. You could have all of your limbs broken and body mangled up and the strongest thing they will give you is less effective than Tylenol. DO NOT GO HERE. I trusted the outpatient here. And now here I am with a messed up back with 4 titanium rods one rod broken, bad ADHD that's kicking my butt. And Everytime I try to get help, I am immediately told that I have had a substance use disorder in the past. When you are on a better road doing well for yourself yet a horrible pain or mental health issue set you back, you go here and they basically rob you for every dollar they can get then when you finally question why nothing is being done they tell you you need more appointments more tests, you do those and tell them you are there with a health issue that is not being resolved they say the only thing that they can do for you is prescribe you a medication but you have had a substance disorder in the past, and offer to refill the non effective garbage you've tried taking for way longer than you should have in the first place. It's not help, it's a way to line you up with your insurance company and get every dollar they can and then point at you and tell you it's your fault. Don't tell them a thing. You can not be honest about your struggles here and who wants to have to hide anything... Yet if you don't hide it you'll spend the rest of your life wishing you would have never even heard of this place.

A huge thank you to C.N.P Amy Newman and nurse Heather in the ObGyn department! I needed a new practitioner and Amy was amazing. She listened to my concerns and had a depth of knowledge regarding women's health that was… so refreshing to hear. Heather was also so kind and supportive. Everyone from the front desk to scheduling was helpful and positive. Thank you so much for a good experience at a stressful time.

Outpatient at fountain centers is terrible, you don't learn anything, all they do is more movie nights than anything, so what's the point? And yilin gui is a terrible counselor and to me she could honestly care less… about the feelings of her patients.

If I could give zero stars for my daughter's recent Albert Lea ER visit, I would. My 5 yo daughter was in the Austin ER on Saturday (4 days ago) for extreme pain (to the point she couldn't walk), joint swelling &… bruising. She received good care there and we were told to return to the ER if new areas of concern popped up. A new area popped up on the same extremity, so we took her back to the ER on Monday, but in Albert Lea as it was closer. The provider there barely communicated with us, didn't seem to investigate into what could be going on, and gave me the sense that he didn't really care to find a diagnosis or that we should have even been in there. He did the same testing that was done in the Austin ER, even though he acted like it wasn't really necessary. I asked if it could be an autoimmune issue. He literally just shrugged and said i don't know. I brought up testing for HSP because it fit her recent history, her age, and her presenting symptoms and asked if they could run a UA to test for protein & blood. I was told by the provider that they don't test for / diagnose that in the ER. He said my daughter's PCP would have to do this. He placed a wrap to her leg. We get discharged with instructions to follow up with PCP next day for further evaluation of symptoms. As I'm getting my daughter in her car seat in the parking lot to leave the ER, I saw that her condition spread to her other extremity, and it was significant. This was missed in the ER because the provider never assessed anywhere else. The provider never listened to her heart, felt around her stomach, inquired about her recent history or family medical history, assessed other joints/areas of her body/ROM, etc. (like they did in the Rochester ER next day). We scheduled a follow-up ER visit with PCP on Tuesday (yesterday AM) per discharge instructions. PCP called me & recommended we go to Rochester ER instead as she was very concerned about my daughter's S/S. We go there, the Rochester provider reviewed the last 2 ER visits, came in & looked my daughter over. To my surprise, she said Millie has HSP & wanted to do a UA to check for protein & blood in her urine, which was positive for both. I felt SO relieved to finally have answers, but so angry at the same time that the provider refused to test for this the previous day & we had to make another ER trip for proper care. The wrap the Albert Lea provider applied to my daughter's leg caused a severe rash. The Rochester provider confirmed that it was the friction from the wrap that caused her rash. Sadly, I truly feel like he had no concern for my daughter & my own concerns were completely dismissed. I didn't feel a real effort on his part to actual help her and am incredibly dissatisfied with the care (or lack thereof) my daughter received in the AL ER. The care we received in Austin was more thorough & overall better. The care we received in Rochester was 1,000% better. My husband & I decided whenever possible, we will just make the drive further to Austin or Rochester ER for better care. It's a dreadful feeling to have something so serious happening with your child, providers can't seem to figure out what is going on, & you feel like the provider doesn't care enough to investigate into it. He didn't even present ANY options he thought it could be & dismissed mine. He just brushed her off onto someone else. Everyone else though (Austin, PCP, Rochester) seemed to understand that what was going on with her is serious & treated it as such.

New to city so made appointment for a check up with blood work and prescription refill. Get to appointment, no tests scheduled, doctor and nurse can’t find medical records I had sent two months prior. I get sent home… after barely a check up for 2 months until records are sent. I send email with what records I had readily available to find they had my records the entire time. Then they start suggesting medical appointments for things I don’t need, never bothering to actually read my records (told I needed a Pap smear when I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago or need a mammogram even tho I just had one). Now I’m being charged $400 for a nothing appointment, forced to wait 2 months for no reason cuz medical staff can’t navigate their own systems. If they can’t read simple medical history, how can they possibly care for my health?!
