Sagent Behavioral Health – Fargo

I highly recommend Dr. John Lyon as a therapist. He listens and I mean really listens. He is professional and detached but not in cold, non-compassionate way. He's very empathetic and in my 30+ plus years he's the best… therapist I've seen. I feel like I can let my guard down in our sessions. I'm thinking about seeing a regular psychiatrist here because the one I had at Sanford graduated and left. However, I've been on the waiting list there for about 3 months now and I need my meds adjusted. They have locations in Fargo and Moorhead and offer Zoom appointment options. Overall my experience has been positive.

Psychiatrist left without any notice. No other provider to see my child after Sagent took over. Absolutely ridiculous. They do not care about mental health at all.

It would be really nice if someone would answer the phone there.

Had a very rough first interaction with them. Commutation was the main issue. Reached out with questions when appointment was made and no return. Then the Appointment was cancelled last minute with very little notice… and real explanation why. Return calls were not made. Finally when contact was made to reschedule I asked if there was a better form of communication beside phone call was told “not really just depends who you get and how much effort they put into it”. We ended up cancelling appointment in frustration and fear of dependability.

Absolutely wonderful! I'm a female and in the past I've always chosen a female for therapy yet this time I did the opposite and I am very happy I did! He has a good vibe and it's obvious he is knowledgeable and eager to… get me to where I need to be! Which I really appreciate! I had been putting it off for so long to get counseling thinking it would be too painful and re-traumatizing but with Riley I don't feel that at all all I regret is that I wished I had known about this place sooner! Riley is amazing

Compassionate, non judgmental treatment with Intelligent individuals who were capable Enough to diagnose me and get me medication my first visit. I had been doctring with someone else for eight months before with no… improvements. These people are the real deal!

I don’t want to say anything about the entire organization, but if you choose to go here. I would not recommend you have Sophie as your therapist. I had her, and I cannot say she was all that great. I was going through… a really rough patch. My classmate was shot and killed, and someone else I knew had died. She wasn’t very sympathetic, and she even question my grief saying, “How well did you know this person?” You don’t downplay someone’s grief.

I love working with Caylor. I’ve had several therapists that just didn’t work with me. People that just want to say “it’s okay” and pat my back, but Caylor will tell you how it is, with love and professional, of course.… She’s real! When you walk into her office, it feels like an extension of her home, which makes you feel comfortable. She loves Harry Potter, fun crafts, and Pokémon, so this place is safe for all kinds of people. The nice woman at the front desk also remembers me every time I come in and checks me in right away, so these people remember you and care. If you want a therapist who cares about YOU, but almost like how your best friend hates seeing you go back to your ex, she will tell you when you are in the wrong and why. If this is something you are looking for, look no further! Thanks Caylor for all your hard work and time. I’ve never had to reschedule and she’s even got me in when I was having a personal emergency. Best therapy office I’ve been to.

I have been working with Matthew Rask for almost 3 years now and I can’t express enough how grateful I am for him. This man has helped me overcome more traumas and blocks than all of my other therapy services combined.… I can’t recommend him enough.

Tried establishing care with them, as I needed to get back on medication for anxiety. The room I was brought into was messy and disorganized and was quite distracting. I was denied a medication I was previously on… because I admitted to smoking marijuana to help ease my anxiety while I waited to get back on medication. They billed me $578 to be seen once. I established care elsewhere, and I was able to be prescribed my medication that I know works for me without having to be drug tested. I do not recommend this place to thoes with anxiety, or have a history of marijuana use because they will treat you like an addict.

Best staff! They really care about you unlike other places that treat you like another number. Highly recommend this place to any one that needs real friendly help.

Nystrom and Associates has been very awesome to be going to. I have great people that I am working with also all the other staff are nice and friendly.
