About Southcentral Foundation – Wasilla

Southcentral Foundation operates from 3223 East Palmer Wasilla Highway in Wasilla. The site sits in Matanuska-Susitna County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Fishhook, Gateway and Knik-Fairview. Alaska draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Southcentral Foundation

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Tried calling for an appointment to quit drinking. The chic at the front gave me misinformation then spoke to a nurse who was also rude. I'm trying to get clean and patience is thin. I get I am difficult right now and… so stressed out, and you would think they have staff to help with a crisis and the frustration and attitude it brings to a suffering patient. Just easier to be a damn drunk thank misinformation and mistreatment.

All the Staff have genuine support for you. I'll really recommend them if you want to really start changing your life.

I am so glad they opened a place in the Valley. I was in the Anchorage program and it saved my life. They aren't like you expect. They don't judge you, punish you for struggling or make you jump through hoops to get… help. It's not just for Alaska Natives, and they were able to help me get Medicaid while i was out of work so i could afford it. My coworker got rides free, and they offered her help with daycare, GED, apartment, and ways to get new clothes for her kids. I wish i'd tried Four Directions first, but it saved my life. I'm celebrating 4 years in recovery next month.
