Southwestern Behavioral Care Inc – Monessen Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 2 Eastgate Avenue in Monessen, Pennsylvania, 15062. Westmoreland County covers this area. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

Southwestern Behavioral Care Inc – Monessen Reviews and Ratings
A review of Southwestern Behavioral Care Inc does not need to be long. If you were a patient or a family member, a few plain sentences on what went well, and what you wish you had known beforehand, will help the next reader.
Horrible place needs shut down and restaffed immediately. Many times tried to force my gf off her psych meds. Made her wait weeks unmedicated only to tell us she was kicked out the day of her appointment. Went through… the trouble to get back in only for the doctor to threaten to stop writing her meds. They don’t care about the patients at all.
I'm finally getting the help I need.
I go to therapy so it's good
My experience with Dr Douglas my son went to her to get meds for ADHD for school and she took him of meds cause he was taking the lowest dosage for his ADHD even tho his teachers was saying he was still showing signs of… still needing meds maybe even dosage increased well we took him to another Dr which increased his meds and he is now doing great in school.
Dr howland told me I am beyond help and refused to either increase me or switch my medicine when I said I've been depressed for the past two months. I waited an HOUR past my scheduled time because the receptionist never… told him I was here. He was shortempered for my not even 5 min medcheck with him, which I walked out of after he said I'm beyond help. I would never recommend him to ever help anyone with a mental health problem again. He should not be working in this field.
Definitely agree with some of these comments. The receptionist is very rude and I felt like she was trying to rush me as if she was not interested in anything I was saying. They didn't even have records of my child… attending there. She definitely was not listening to me because I was saying Jeff, she was saying Jessica. Completely two different names. Absolutely felt helpless there. It's like I was speaking alien or something. The person that my daughter was seeing canceled and switched things up on me at the last minute on three different occasions. But one day, when I was three minutes late, he wouldn't even see me. But you were unprofessional with canceling things at the last minute, like seriously. Like get with the program freaking annoying.
For those seeking mental health services, you would be hard-pressed to find another as dedicated.
Don't go here if you can help it! 3 friggin times now the Dr hasn't called me for my scheduled appt and keeps leaving notes saying my phone rang busy! Bs cell phones have call waiting! And they almost never answer the… phone!
STRIKE III,,, There system is what you get.. Its the look of a normal bigger agency getting and chasing our government money. Good people who can deal with the paperwork they always are doing more n more the further… they get away from old 1 on 1 help n pay what you can.. Hope they go back to people over the $1 first the way they all started.. 🤔
Upset that it suppost to be confidential but theirs cleaning people everywear and they laugh at people and get in people's buisness thinking about filing a complaint
Help with drug and alcohol addiction.
Clean and nice people are there and you will well taken care of!!
Called to inquire about drug and alcohol classes for a family member and spoke to Shannon who was extremely rude and assumptive. I simply asked for a schedule of classes offered and she danced around the question and… told me I was not authorized to receive medical information on the client. I was confused because that wasn’t what I asked and asked her again and she again danced around the question and then rudely told me it just depends on the therapist. Im unsure if the rest of the employees carry this attitude and demeanor but Shannon’s has a lot to be desired.
