Mind Dojo – Irwin Detox and Rehab Services
Recorded services at Mind Dojo – Irwin are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Mind Dojo – Irwin Reviews and Ratings

Whatever you are having problems with please talk to someone. Mind Dojo is the safest place to unload your burden and couldn’t be happier with my journey!
I would leave zero stars because he demanded a credit card before I could finish read the 26 documents. I spoke with the owner he told that he give FREE care and that his staff has great benefits. Less than15 minutes… the staff called back high pressuring me for a credit card. It was worse than a car sales man or any fly by night contractor. In fact the scamers have less pressure to surrender your fininal information. Just proof of it all about the money not the care of the patient. Does his free care patients have to leave a credit card?
Great place! Has helped with my mental health and improved my life immeasurably.
Very friendly. Beautiful office.
I wish my experience with your new start up over the last 9 months was one I could speak about in a positive light. In less than a year I was passed off by my initial therapist who left the practice, and by my first… prescriber who I was also told had left the practice. Not only did one of the providers not notify me, but neither did Mind Dojo. I also find it a little irresponsible to have your head therapist Kara be in charge of programs or any kind of therapy with how dismissive she can be to patients. After missing 2 classes out of an 8 week class I voluntarily signed up for, and was being billed through my insurance, Kara made sure to wait until the day before the next class to leave me a voicemail dismissing me from the program. I guess there wasn’t enough time for me to “catch up” even if I attended the remainder of the classes. OK. Fast forward 3-4 weeks and Mind Dojo contacts me to tell me my class is cancelled for the night. The class I was already dismissed from. WOW. That’s the only word I can even come up with at this point. I thought I found something good when I was looking for a new behavior health provider in Westmoreland County, but after less than a year of headaches with changing providers, paying over $1,300.00 to your new start up since July 2024, and all of the staff changes, thank you for encouraging me to actively look to take my mental health and my business elsewhere.
Love Mind Dojo. Laryn R best dr I have had to help me regulate my meds.
Laryn was awesome!
I was recommended Mind Dojo by my previous mental health provider. I was initially put off by the name and thought that it was going to be more of spiritual, silly thing--especially when one of the services is reiki. I… didn't expect much. However, I cannot say enough good things about this place. I recommend them to all of my friends when they seek mental health services. I really love my therapist and the staff. Everyone is so down to earth and kind. I have never had a bad experience. I owe a lot to them with how far I've come in my grief journey.
Mind Dojo is full of wonderful people of the community for the community. They have gone out of their way I believe to assist me in my time of need. Grateful to a dear friend for recommending!
Very professional. Listened and addressed all my concerns. Will definitely continue to seek care.
Update to my review a few months ago on them going against a court order for my 15yo and saying she doesn't need therapy, inspite of being in the middle of a 4yr ongoing divorce, being forced to choose a parent, ripped… from her sister, etc. Came to find out that her dad never even bothered to take her to an in person session- instead had her do an online zoom meeting --with him in the background!!!! This was how it was allegedly determined she didn't need therapy??? What a joke!! I did have her sign the required consent form., which was the reply from mind dojo in my original post and guess what--- I have called several times, left voice mails for Liz-- crickets!! The case has yet to be discussed with me and my 15yo has been suffering in silence since February as a result (I was the one taking both girls to therapy prior to the new order saying we each take a kid, dad had refused to pay or participate in any past therapy sessions, so , of course he was ok his high horse getting the letter saying she doesn't need therapy so he wouldn't be inconvienced)
Wonderful people working here that listen and help.
When I first came to Mind Dojo, I didn’t know what to expect — I just knew I needed a reset. From the moment I met the team, everything changed. They listened, they understood, and they pushed me in all the right ways.… The staff here don’t just talk about mindset — they live it, and their energy is contagious. Every session leaves me lighter, more focused, and more confident in who I am. Mind Dojo has become more than a place I go, it’s become a part of who I am. The people here genuinely care, and that makes all the difference.
I feel like I got duped and suckered into an intake service I did not need or want . Got charged for a zoom call (should’ve been my big red flag. Thought perhaps front desk didn’t have the info handy) that I had meant… to determine if there is availability for EMDR. I didn’t need a psych eval!! I needed to know availability! I should’ve realized part way through the zoom that this wasn’t just discussing how my admittance into EMDR would be. They didn’t have availability for the service at all, but I didn’t know until AFTER the “evaluation”. Charges my insurance and me $700(good thing I met my out of pocket and deductible) If the front desk doesn’t know, and if I’m set up for a discussion, of course I’m going to attend to see. I wouldn’t have had to waste an hour of a therapists time if I got the information I needed upfront. On top of this, I was willing to move forward(under the guise that i was told the service was available) after this “evaluation”. I was on the waitlist for many other places(AND, I didn’t get charged for these!!) I got a call later that said they don’t have availability because they’re training. Never got a call back, only a bill, and this is November now. Bad business. I’m now on file for a place I will never visit. They have my psych records and my information. I was in no way trying to, right then and there, get admitted with the practice. I thought they wanted basic information and wanted to see why I was looking for EMDR. My psych already evaluated me and my needs. This whole scenario is ridiculous and now I will remember to be extremely wary of inquiring with new places. Not any other practice that I inquired about for EMDR had charged me this way. Mins Dojo “professionally” evaluated me for a service that they did not have the assets to provide, offered other bull, then charged $. The billing manager was no help. Just offered to set up a payment plan, told me I used an hour of the therapists time, and that it’s the clinical perspective. I wanted to further dispute but what can they do? What a joke. There are more transparent and put together places.
Missed my appointment due to life happening and I was charged a hidden fee. I’m genuinely disgusted with this horrendous establishment and the way their business is ran. It’s funny how this is supposed to help my life… and now I’m even more stressed.. I’ll claim fraud and get my money back, i appreciate the extra headache!
Brought my daughter here at 16 for alcohol issues, and in the 2 years she has as there, weekly, they managed to call CYS on me, and immediately when she turned 18, she moved into her dads to continue her drinking path.… Would highly NOT recommend.
It’s really relaxed and everyone is very nice.
Wrote a letter claiming my 15yo doesn't need therapy inspite of a court order that she be in therapy and despite a long history of her being the communicater/ stuck in the middle of a 4yr legal battle between her… parents, a known history of her narcissistic father refusing to be on board and take her to therapy, father refusing to pay for therapy, documented non cooperating in therapy and anxiety issues, etc, etc. Oh and father had her not sign consent for me to get this information on why they wrote said letter
The staff is truly amazing and I keep coming back
Dr. Layrn R at Mind Dojo has been incredibly helpful in addressing my medical issues. Her compassionate and thoughtful approach made me feel understood and supported from the very beginning. She took the time to listen… carefully, offered practical strategies, and guided me through meaningful improvements in both my mental and physical well-being. I’m truly grateful for her expertise and care.
Everything started well. I started the IOP at mind dojo after an inpatient stay in November of 2023. I was able to meet 1:1 with a therapist and also have my meds managed there and eventually started EMDR. At the time… they also expressed having a reiki person come in who would be working with us. I happened to know the person and felt a general conflict in doing so. They adjusted by me going to an evening session once a week. I felt judged by Toni and also felt that she didn't like me right away. I went anyway because I wanted to continue my growth. At some point, this was also taken from me and I was down to 2 days/week in IOP because of the scheduling of reiki. I felt it was unfair that I had to lose out on services and never had anything offered to me holistically because of the relationship I expressed discomfort with. Well the therapist left (unexpectedly?) and things continued on. All was okay-ish until the fall of 2024 when Liz expressed she was backing down from counseling and moving more into administration - all while I was expressing significant suicidal feelings. She didn't seem to care. She wanted me to return the following week, which I did with a negative attitude given the previous week and her condescending, "I'm sorry you feel that way." There was no closure and that ending my positive relationship with the agency. Since then, I have been battling to have my insurance pieces taken care of because of the billing issues there. I tried to reach Alex and Liz with no answer and then one day heard from Gina. She was new and expressed apologies but I e never heard anything back and now am in collections. Alex insisted that the checks sent by my insurance were given to them to cash and now the insurance says they have overpaid. Mind dojo has not worked well with me on this. Even to get my records was a mess! I spoke with Alex and Liz via email and had to reach out 3 times before getting an answer. The records did not include anything on my EMDR work, only group which my primary therapist did not understand. The fight to get records was wrong and there is no reason for them to be withheld in such a way.
When I was younger, something happened to me that fundamentally changed the trajectory of my life and the woman that I would eventually become. I spent most of my life encountering people who didn't know how to handle… it. Who made me feel like I was too much and simultaneously not enough. At the same time. I've had to spend most of my life masking, who I was and how I felt in order to fit into society in order to be accepted. This place is nice because it feels like I can be every version of myself and it doesn't matter what I walk in with that it's accepted. Everyone here is great. All the stuff I might have been amazing. Sarah, Liz and Elizabeth in particular are fantastic. If you're looking for a place that makes you feel accepted and not judged, then I would come here.
