About The Virtue Center – Norman

The Virtue Center operates from 2457 Wilcox Drive in Norman, close enough to Goldsby and Newcastle to serve both. The practical catchment runs to roughly 8 miles, covering Goldsby, Newcastle, Noble and Norman. Cleveland County is the relevant authority here, which matters for anyone using state-funded care.

The facility runs intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone can be prescribed alongside therapy. Co-occurring conditions are handled concurrently rather than one after the other. Telehealth appointments are available, which matters where the drive is long. Trauma-focused work forms part of the approach. Federal registration is held through SAMHSA and licensing through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

The Virtue Center – Norman Detox and Rehab Services

Services at The Virtue Center – Norman run to intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly.

Mental health and substance use are handled together rather than in sequence. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Anyone can ask what a typical week looks like before starting. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together.

Very uninformative desk staff. Missed a call from them and was told I missed an appointment no one had informed me of. I was told I was supposed to get a call to schedule an appointment today because my chart needed to… be made first. Then the staff told me I had to walk in to get seen when I'm doing virtual because I have messed up legs and struggle being on my feet like that

I had to leave one star because I was not able to be helped here at all. In fact, the lady that was supposed to be helping me, quit reaching out to me when we couldn't get my insurance figured out. Depending on your… situation and what your issue is, do not go here expecting immediate help because it will not help. They are there more so to talk and put you in recovery groups, no immediate help is available. I wish I would've known this in advance. It would've saved me a big headache and a lot of crying.
