Wellness Grove – Canton (4200 Munson St NW) Reviews and Ratings
Patient reviews of Wellness Grove cover ground that official records leave out, from the admissions call to aftercare planning. Read them in this section alongside reviews gathered from around the web.
Rude unprofessional staff the receptionist clearly has a complex and was very excited to tell me our appointment was cancelled because a form wasn't filled out. ( I filled it out before the appointment time) In total I… had one business day to complete them from when the appointment was made. Glad we didn't waste our time and money here.
I haven’t started therapy here yet, but I’m slightly confused by the reviews of people not being able to reach anyone to make an appointment, the staff being rude, or being told they don’t have any immediate spots open.… I called here today because I need help ASAP. The one place I was trying to get into was trying to get me to take an appointment time that was impossible for me or wait until January to get an appointment. I need EMDR therapy. After googling emergency counseling services with EMDR this was the first name that popped up. I called. The lady that answered the phone ( Stephanie) was very kind and helpful. She didn’t try to rush me off the phone either. I talked to her for 36 minutes. I have an appointment set for next week and she put me on the cancellation list in case I can get an appointment sooner. I’ve always been weary of counseling places, however; my first interaction has been great. I’m hoping my new therapist continues that positive experience I’ve had so far.
Don’t recommend they don’t help at all. Worst experience ever they act and talk like robots nothing was helpful go somewhere else where they actually care about their clients.
If you are going through mental health issues, this is not the place for you. Therapist is constantly overbooked themselves then call you to council. They ask if it’s OK to send text messages to your cell phone, but… then send them through a portal that you hardly look at I literally had to reach out to the suicide hotline for someone to talk to zero stars.
They are very professional when you first walk in they greet you. They also give you a printout of your appointments so that you don’t forget and even when they are sick they still take the time to do over the phone or… virtual appointments. I highly recommend wellness Grove for anyone that is going through anything in life. They have everybody’s best interest.
Poor. Alot of the technicians or "dr". Dont know how to handle any person with specific or special needs. They take into accountability that your looking for someone but after that they don't care. Greed. Then they want… you too accommodate where they want you schuleded at and with whom. The intake is terrible as well. They love to state how certain things will be brought to the "state" attention. When the issue had or been resolved they still harp on it. Councilors are joke. Still into the old text book conditioning phases from college.
Good locations and great with responding
I was very hesitant to try counseling but my pyschrist pushed me to try it so I did. My first counselor brought religion into the sessions multiple times while I am not religious and told me to connect with God. She… then resigned. My second counselor was not prepared to handle my needs and often didn't have answers/ read them staright from her computer and there was a lot of awkward silence at the sessions and I often left feeling worse. I tried one more time and found a counselor I liked and just got a call today that she is too resigning. I would not recommend if you are looking for consistent and adequate care.
This is the worst counseling I have ever had in the 10+ years I've been in therapy. Marcus Romeo's license to practice counseling should be revoked. He lacks empathy, care and is frankly uninterested in our sessions. I… also have suspicions of political bias based on what we discussed. The only feedback I can even recall from our sessions was how to make ahi in the air fryer. I'm going to counseling for help with my mind, not my cooking. What a complete waste of time. And speaking of time, he was almost always 5 min late to every session. He's untruthful and doesn't know how to interpret what his clients are saying as real or a mere fantasy. Poor judgement is not what I expect from a professional. This company has poor customer service as well. I will be disputing all credit card charges for previous co pays. I strongly suggest you do not use this company. Strongly!
Counselors have zero experience and are rude.
Called for an appointment with a therapist with experience working with couples. Was assigned a provider who wasn't on their website and when I searched her name the person who came up was still in school and interested… in a different field of counseling from couples/marital sessions. My husband called their office who said they "didn't believe" she was in school because all the students were marked as "trainee" and her file wasn't marked. Lone and behold, it was the same person I found online, and when my husband asked to confirm she did state she's still a student but her supervisor was "present" (we were the only three on the zoom call which leads me to believe it was either being recorded which is against HIPPA or the supervisor blindly signs off on the student/trainee's notes). Session started 10 minutes late and after 30 minutes of only she and my husband chit-chatting (not once was any attempt made to speak with me at all) I put in the chat box that this wasn't a productive session and I didn't understand why I was even there. Her mood instantly changed and she said "it's an intake session so I have to get back ground information." I logged off probably 2 minutes later. I felt like I was watching two people chitchat at Applebees and not like I was at an intake session for MARRIAGE counseling. What a joke. They are having unlicensed and UNQUALIFIED persons conducting sessions that they have absolutely no business conducting. I bet we will see a bill for the regular provider rate too. What a joke.
After I moved to the area I really need a place to go for my grief and life issues. I was recommended Wellness Grove. It has been 3 months and I dont think I could have found a more professional counseling office.
The staff is great and they take time to know you and make sure your seeing the right councilor and the right care. Highly recommend
Mahlee is the best, she is always helpful and very supportive, I am glad I found her; had 2 immediate deaths in the family within 7 months of each other and talking to her made it so much easier
Called potentially looking to become a client. Everyday for a week they called as late as 8:30pm. Then stopped for a few weeks and started calling daily again. Guess they really need business.
I can’t get an appointment I keep calling and no one has gotten back to me for months
I have mixed feelings in this review. All my sessions were telehealth, & my therapist Ashley was absolutely amazing & helped me alot. HOWEVER, as a business I would not recommend them. After having sessions for nearly… 6mths they canceled a session "due to an outstanding balance" my card was on file & they were not charging it which was confusing. I never once received a bill, email, or call about the bill. I just logged in & the therapist said "oh they canceled your session. Im not sure why you will have to call them directly. Then they started taking the payments out every session. Then another 7 mths or so go by & the same thing happens. Which was odd cause they had been taking payments. When I looked at my account I noticed they had stopped taking payments about 1.5 prior. When I FINALLYA talked to someone from billing they said when my insurance changed (6mths prior) my out of pocket increased. & when they realized it they stopped charging my card, which was FOUR MONTHS after the increase!! again I had never received a bill not by mail, email, text, NOTHING!
Wellness Grove truly stands out. The team is professional, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. They make you feel heard and comfortable every step of the way. The environment is peaceful and spotless, and the… whole experience feels personalized instead of cookie-cutter. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients. I’m so glad I found them and would absolutely recommend to anyone.
Everyone there is just wonderful . These people are changing my life. Joni my counselor is the most personable , kind , knowledgeable counselor I've ever been to . All the girls, from the secretary Lisa in the front to… chelsey and all the girls in theback. Kind ,considerate. All that matters to them is patients well being. And Dr. Ike the only word I can think of is fantastic . Uses the latest technologies ,writes books. Gives affirmations to all the patients. He is just so knowledgeable about the latest treatments. No arrogance from him right down into whatever problem a patient brings to him.kindness, for me that meant so much. He understood and knew exactly the course to take with me. God bless these people there all lifesavers
I highly recommend Sarah - She is incredibly kind and genuinely attentive. From the start, she made me feel heard, safe, and comfortable sharing things I’ve never been able to put into words before. Her presence is… calming, and she creates a space where there’s no judgment—just understanding and support. I leave each session feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded. I’m truly grateful for her and the work we’re doing together
not worth it. these people cannot admit when they are wrong. clinicians are great, administration is NOT! go somewhere else!
This place is extremely unprofessional especially when someone is in dire need. Don’t plan on coming back and don’t suggest coming.
My clinician was incredible, the girls who work at the office are awful. It sounds like a ton of high schoolers who don’t care, give you conflicting information and just want to rush you off the phone. There is never… anyone else to speak to and they say someone will call or email you back and you don’t hear anything. Dealing with this company makes me feel worse than if I were to just figure stuff out on my own. Don’t waste your time here.
I am feeling very conflicted as I write this review. I want to leave both one star and five at the same time. I absolutely adore my therapist. She has changed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined. She is… more than accommodating to my schedule and will always find time to make sure I am able to get my weekly session in. She will do tele-health sessions outside of her "in office" hours. If I'm having a bad week she checks in with an email or a short phone call. I have also had a tremendous experience with the therapist that leads one of the groups I am in at wellness grove. Both of these clinicians have restored my faith in this profession-they have given me hope and above all, they have given me my life back. The conflict for me comes from the people who work the both behind the scenes and behind the glass when you walk in the door. The receptionists will ignore you standing in front of them for more than 10 minutes sometimes. They act like checking you in is the biggest inconvenience. I think that incorporating a self check-in would alleviate a lot of hassle and anxiety prior to appointments. My biggest issue; however, lies with the billing department. They will blow your phone up before you even get to your car after an appointment. They show the true colors of the corporate side of wellness grove. Money hungry. They will take and take and take until you have nothing left. They will not set up contracted rates with many of the insurance companies they network with. This leaves insurance practically useless. The way they have it set up-my insurance company can pay no more than one penny per session. I adore my clinicians, but the experience I have had with others that work there is very frustrating and off-putting.
Yea my therapist was great… the owner / billing department not so much.., if your a few copays behind they’ll tell you you can’t be seen until you’re all caught up… we all have times when money is short but they don’t… care… so they value profit and money over our mental health… shame on you wellness grove…. Do not go here for your mental health needs …
Provider not replying to emails also not keeping our appointments. When reach out to see what's going on they try to change our schedule. This is also telehealth appointments
Attempting to schedule an appointment but none of their providers are accepting appointments. Don’t waste your time
