Coleman Health Services – Canton Detox and Rehab Services
Coleman Health Services – Canton is recorded as offering intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Coleman Health Services – Canton Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Coleman Health Services help in two directions. Reading them helps you prepare questions for the admissions team, and writing one, if you have been a patient, helps the next family prepare theirs.
love my therapist here, but because of the psychiatrist, i have been unable to get working stimulant medication for adhd, which has significantly lowered my quality of life. i'm looking elsewhere to even be able to get… back on vyvanse. was told by an old therapist that the psychiatrist doesn't believe i have anything but depression, despite all of my diagnoses i entered the practice with being diagnosed during childhood.
They are known to turn normal functionali lives into hell on earth. Imho
I have been given the runaround with everyone i’ve talked to, the limited time frame due to insurance at the 30th street location is insane, was told per the employee that called me after requesting information on the… website that i should go to crisis center for my initial eval due to my work schedule then i would be transferred to the 30th street location once i was established. made it very clear to hear this was not a crisis, ive called multiple places & everywhere was booked out months in advance. I specifically asked if i would need to be admitted. she said “it’s only called crisis because it’s 24/7, 7days a week, they will only admit you if your an active threat to yourself. they only keep you if they have too, trust me” called AGAIN today to verify this was true & got a complete different story. was told 100% i would be admitted because it’s a “crisis center” & if i can’t be there within the time frame required then “well idk then, we can’t help me” because that’s exactly what someone needs to hear as they are actively looking for help. no wonder you have the terrible reviews you do. if you have that little empathy or compassion maybe the mental health field isn’t for you.
The best , the whole team helps so much!
Coleman guardians suck. They don’t know how to do their job. They think a group home is always the answer when it’s not especially with someone who has bills already they act like they can afford a group home at the… meantime. Yeah no. Yeah, also expect you to live on $50 every other week. They make your ward look bad when your ward is actually doing great Denise Hollenback for example she don’t know how to do her job. She expects you to survive on $50 every other week. She thinks a ward could survive on $50 every other week yeah no I don’t think so. In my opinion and others, I think this woman needs to lose her job. She really don’t care about you just what’s in your pocket. Coleman is a joke. If I could give negative 5 star a rating I would. Do not bring your people here.
I love this place been there 15 years love the staff and just feel welcome there and I feel safe there
Worst place ever. They lie to you about who your seeing. They don't do appointments on time, and they don't listen to the needs you have. They never answer phones. Waist of time and a big joke of a place
They never pick up the phone
If you don't want to be taken seriously, go here.
Well...I went to Coleman in the past...I have nothing against the counselors or Doctors or Nurses... It's the company itself...that I take issue with. There's only one reason why my therapy time went from 50 minutes to… 30 minutes (which everyone knows you can't get anywhere in 30 minutes) , and that reason is...MONEY!!! You know what less time means. Less time means more more Insurance billings and people who will not get the treatment they need. It's NOTHING but a business decision based on greed. So the changes as explained to me from an inside source is that during the 30 minutes...they also have to do their paperwork which means no focus at all for you as a patient. It's literally a cash grab. Also,if you are going weekly and another counselor leaves the company, you'll find yourself doing it every TWO weeks because your counselor has to make room for the clients the counselor who left had left behind. Think about that. My suggestion would be to find an alternative. Preferrably, one with a higher RATING.
Is Dr chugtai still wasting oxygen in that place. I have never forgot the only time I saw him 10 years ago, told him my mom was dying, he did not care. All he cared about was me being on Ativan. My mom died two days… later. I keep looking for his obituary...
Ive been calling for 2 days with emergency needs to find housing. They scheduled me a caseworker thats scheduled 2 weeks out knowing that i am being evicted in a few days. They are rude when i speak to the staffs direct… numbers i do have. Condescending and misunderstanding. Terrible services. I just pray i survive this crisis as coleman as well as the crisis center have been terrible support or help. When i call crisis they rush the process and repeteadly threaten an ambulance at every difficult emotion
You can't get a hold of someone when you need to. I've been waiting over 2 years to be assigned a therapist. My caseworker left over a year ago and I have never been assigned a new one despite multiple phone calls. I've… been waiting 2 days for my NP to call in a new script and refills but she has yet to do so. Just take a look at their website. This place is a joke!
Been going for years. Definitely going down hill. Sad
The nastiest and most inefficient staff I have ever dealt with. For a service that deals with mental illness they should really train their employees on how to properly speak to people. I have gone here for years and… the ONLY reason I stay is because I like my provider. The rest of the staff is nasty and unhelpful. They act annoyed to be talking with you and are downright disrespectful.
The most unprofessional place u can go to for mental health...would never recommend it people are rude and have no education or experience on mental health!
Start to finish I have received sub par care and attention from this institution top to bottom. Reporting negligence and abuses by staff isn't sufficiently dealt with and their entitlements and predeliction toward… abandoning their charges is reprehensible. Run. EDIT: THE COMPLIANCE TEAM'S EXPERTISE IS LISTENING IN SILENCE AND THEN SAYING "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO??" EASY! GIVE ME THE 2K YOUR ORGANIZATION'S NEGLIGENCE COST ME. QUIT ACTING DEAF
Was patient back and 2016. Intake counselor told me what you want me to do wave magic wond and make ur problems go away I have bipolar 2 PTSD excessive compulsive disorder add an ADHD horrible place haven't been on meds… since scraped these places now
Dealing with the doctors and people at this location I swear has made my mental health worse. Find somewhere else to help you. They're constantly switching out doctors, therapists, oh and if your doctors hours change… apparently they change your appointment without contacting you as well. Final straw for me. Good luck! I suggest looking elsewhere for your mental health needs.
Horrible company counseling is good casemanagement is good scheduling for any services garbage don't go here for psychiatry u better off talking to god
Awful experience here.
I have been going to Coleman for almost 10 years and yesterday I had to cancel an appointment because I had to work wasn't sure when I could reschedule it the lady that answered the phone I told her when I knew my… schedule and that's all I got out she hung up on me so I called right back no one answered I left a message I won't be back after 10 years my primary doctor can do these people do and she's better
If your looking for a family member to receive actual help DO NOT TAKE HERE!!! Absolute joke! They take him/her in for the 72 hours collect their state check and send them back out in society just the same as they went… in or even worse. Unfortunately know this all too well being that we've had a family member in and out of there numerous times within months.
I was a patient since 2011, I only stayed because I liked my therapist, but I left in late 2023 because he moved to a new location. Coleman used to be a great place, but it dramatically went downhill during Covid. There… are a lot of sketchy drug abusers that lurk around the building and in the parking lot. Do not go if you are by yourself!!
I hope to God this place gets shut down and I doubt I will ever find peace until it does.
They don't keep promises, work against not with clients are extremely rude and argumentative. No matter what or how you say anything to them they only procrastinate and antagonize but if you politely call them out on it… and ask them to stop being argumentative and get to the point they play victim when in my case i told them i have been forced to choose between paying an electric bill and buying food they didnt give any regard to my needs as a human whatsoever only argued and wasted more time after numerous times politely asking them to stop doing so and get to the point. They will absolutely let you die for their funding they care nothing at all about your life or mental health only their funding. Extremely corrupt place. Everything they said i have recorded. *Add/Edit: they say contact ms. Shivley and i already did however she has had a reputation for being far worse as i understand from many others and my review remains provably backed up further more so now. She has had a voicemail already and not replied, her reply isn't expected to resolve anything as her reputation dictates. I ain't no fool here. Nice try.
I love this place very good people they worked with me and they very nice I will always come there
This place is a nightmare to deal with and the only reason my husband still goes here is not many people take Medicaid. His psychiatrist Mike never did a thing for him. He fought for YEARS to get different medicine… because his wasn’t working. He told him over and over and he didn’t listen. Fast forward a couple months, they finally let him switch people and the lady was sooo nice and we liked her and she finally changed his meds. Yay, progress, NOPE! But now we’re on day 3 fighting to get the medicine called in because it was never called in. We have left 3 voicemails on two different peoples mailboxes and no call back and no prescriptions called in. I can’t imagine what the people who have worse mental health go through with this place. Go anywhere else if you can. They don’t care about anyone but their pockets. Everyone is a number. This isn’t the first time we’ve had to fight for a response. Mental illness is important and I really wish these people cared more than they do.
This place is very good been going on 13 years never had a problem good staff and feel at ease
