Aultman Hospital – Canton Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Aultman Hospital – Canton are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I went here for a severe allergic reaction with hives covering my entire body and in extreme pain. I was in the waiting room before everyone else and had to wait hours and hours to be seen. If I had anaphylaxis I would… have been dead by the time I was seen. Adding on to this, the disturbing part of this is that someone (currently unknown) at this time reported to my Fiancé’s family that I was in the ER which is definitely a Violation of the law. Well, also alerting my family to whom I have a restraining order against putting me and my fiancé in eminent danger without our knowledge. None of their information was on file and it completely blindsided us when we were told by her family after the fact. This is incredibly disturbing and I highly encourage everybody to avoid this hospital at all cost. Incredibly unprofessional.

I gave birth at Aultman and had the best experience! Every nurse was amazing, knowledgeable and personable. Nurse Ariana was the most positive and upbeat person to have in the delivery room!

I ended up going here for a gallbladder issue. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about Aultman. Dr. Lafferty and his surgical team were great and my nurse Lyndsay (Main 5) was super professional and kind. I’d… highly recommended this facility.

Avoid this place like the plague! All hospitals are evil 😈 they will destroy you unless you have something like a broken bone, something simple, you are better off to stay far away from these places.

I had surgery here on the 26th and had an excellent experience. Each nurse was lovely. When I asked for an extra blanket, I was offered warmed blankets. The nurse even pulled back the blankets I had and put the warm… ones closer to my skin, and then added the others on top. Each nurse and doctor made sure I understood everything before they moved forward with treatment. I had two anesthesiologists come speak with me before my surgery. The person giving me my nerve blocker made the experience as pain-free as he could. (A needle is a needle) After surgery, care was very helpful. I was able to go home as soon as I felt ready to. I was out of the hospital in no time. I didn't have to wait hours for paperwork. The gift shop has a ton of nice options. They also had a wide variety of snacks available for purchase, which let my loved one stay close while I was in surgery. I wish I had names so that I could thank the exact staff members who helped me. All I can say is that it was the staff who worked in day surgery on 8/26 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Good Morning, On Tuesday, I visited the Aultman West ER location with my sick daughter. The PA that assisted me was extremely thorough, professional, and his bedside manner was excellent. He truly demonstrated what it… means to feel confident and comfortable with a clinician in a healthcare setting. Aultman continue to hire individuals like this young man-who has a medical acumen that is extraordinary. He set the bar high and he treated me with so much respect.

I was scheduled for a heart procedure for over a month and I arrived on time. They took me back to get me ready for the procedure and just as the tech was going to put the IV in my arm the doctor came in and told me he… had to cancel my procedure because they didn't have the catheters he needed for me or the one scheduled after me. He had already done 3 that day and you would think the surgery staff would notice they didn't have enough catheters to do the scheduled procedures. The doctor and I were not happy. They rescheduled it in about 3 weeks. I have to do all the prep and reschedule things I thought I was going to be able to do. Very frustrating and really lowered my opinion of Aultman.

Went there because my son had a suspected seizure and we ended up waiting for three hours. While we were waiting, I went to the bathroom, and during that time the security guards profiled my kids and searched them… because they suspected they had been vaping in the bathroom. Mind you, they did all of this while I was away, and when I came back, my kids told me what had happened. After that, security continuously kept coming back to check on all three of us, making us feel like we were criminals or under surveillance. What really gets me is that they never once searched my bag, yet they felt comfortable searching and questioning my children while I was in the bathroom.

When you read the reviews and think it can't be that bad. THINK AGAIN! I've been to many Ers in my life and I will die before going back here. 1st off I felt like I was in a jail and not a ER. Scanner at the door, pat… down before walking in to the hosp. OK I get that. But the security guards walking the hallways is creepy. Hearing the staff scream at someone for walking down the hall is crazy but anyway. Went in with chest pain trouble breathing and back pain. Pretty sure it was a muscle or nerve issue that had been hurting for over a month, Told front desk and I was taken back pretty quick due to chest pain but no one would listen that it was my back. Nurse came in ticked off to do the EKG and I was upset I did not have a bra when she pulled my shirt up without a word. When she was done I was on the bed and when I say she threw a gown at me and said put this on and walked out. A gown with snaps on the shoulders does hurt when you get hit with it. (Not saying it was painful but getting smacked with metal snaps in the ER by a nurse was not needed) For 3 hours I had a ekg, xray of my lungs, and 2 rounds of blood work. Never talked to anyone no dr came in. I had to ask the nurse who was very nice what all the test was for. Still waiting to see the dr. When she came in she acted like someone ate her lunch. She just said. "What do you want me to do for you. All your test are normal." I'm struggling to take a deep breath my chest feels like someone is sitting on it (I'm not a person to act like I'm dying just because I hurt. I joke and smile but if you smile you don't hurt that bad I guess.) I explain what was going on and she just blew it off. I explained I didn't want just meds. I wanted to know why I have been this was for so long. She was quick to tell me everything I ask WAS NOT the problem but was no help trying to figure out what was the problem. I had been to Urgent Care the day before and they thought it my be a hernia. So I ask the Dr. " "Don't sound like it". (Didn't know you could hear a hernia!) She hadn't even touched me. My meds was not working and I asked what else I could try. So she offered to refilled the meds I was already taking that wasn't working and a pain patch, and left. After sitting in my car for 5 mins crying making the chest pain worse I look at the paperwork stating that if I have chest pain or trouble breathing go to the ER. HAHAHAHA

Nurse Lily in the ER 0/10. Overall experience 0/10. Nurses were so rude to my grandparents… my grandpa has stage 4 cancer. He’s in immense pain. Nobody answers the call lights. My own grandma had to take him to the… restroom and help clean him up because they said on the intercom “your nurse will be in soon” but over an hour later nobody came. When my grandma went out to the nurses station to ask if anyone was able to talk to them or help them, they very rudely made the remark “someone will come when they decide to” Seriously? Where’s the empathy. They’re older and they have never even really had to go to the hospital and they’re being smarta$$es to them. I already tried to call patient relations line or whatever, but SHOCKER nobody answered just like nobody answers their call lights. I understand hospitals are short staffed and the ER rates are at an all time high, but that’s NO EXCUSE TO BE RUDE TO A PATIENT AND THEIR FAMILY.

I had a little baby here and we had a NICU stay due to the baby being born too early. All the staff have been very kind and we have had a very good experience. The cleaning ladies do an incredible job as well in keeping everything nice and clean especially the restrooms which I really appreciate.

This hospital saved my life. My son called the ambulance thinking i was having a heart attack. They scaned me and put me on the forth floor. While up there the same day when I used the bathroom lots of blood came out of… me, this happened 3x, I buzzed the nurses after the 2x time, meanwhile I had to use the bathroom the 3rd time. All these visits yo the bathroom happened one after another, quick. Anyway the 3x I came out of the bathroom 2 nurses where there. I lost so much blood it looked like a cow was slaughtered in there, with every last breath I said I thinki I should be somewhere else in the hospital and passed out slumped over my bed, that's all I remembered. Woke up in micu. Here my aorta and small intestines rubbed together and put holes in each other , so my blood escaped out of my bottom. In my room when I woke up my the only thing I saw was a pole on each side of me with about 3 bags a piece, giving me blood, plasma, antibiotic, and whatever else i needed to keep me a live. Doctor Prem was in my room with other doctors telling me what had happened. He told me it was a very rare thing and he's only heard of it 3 other times. He said God was in that operating room cause he didnt didn't know how I was still a live. How many times has anyone heard a doctor say that ? This doctor is the best. I had geat care there, from the time on my way there to the time I was discharged. I thank God everyday for him and doctor Prem, who had the intelligence to stop the bleeding a different way then doctors usually stop that kind of thing cause whatever he did different saved my life. Like I said it was a rare thing that happens , he only heard of it 3x and mine was the 3rd. By the way did i mention that the other 2 that this happen to didn't make it. He wasnt there for the other 2 just only heard about this happening 3x in his whole career of many years. Thank U Doctor Prem.

Vannesa was very mature professional and nice in helping us out and being honest about time schedules. She works at the front desk definitely recommend people ask her for information if needed and Aultman needs to give… her a raise or a higher position it’s people like her that make good hospitals besides doctors and nurses. My wife Samantha is on her way there we will hear how it goes so far so good since we moved here. Hopefully the nurses and doctors are kind.

This ER has gone completely downhill since covid. All of the nurses and everyone in the staff treats patients like they're a complete inconvenience. If you do anything or ask too many questions they will get their… violent security guards with God. Complexes to handle you, which I was assaulted by one of their security guards last night. I have a hurt foot now. It was so bad that patients started recording and then he started yelling at them. It's against HIPAA violation to record him even though we're in a lobby where no one's going to be talking about patient information and these other people in the lobby were yelling about how that security guard was handling me. I ended up leaving because I would have rather died at home than be treated the way they were treating me for one more minute even though I have serious injuries that they knew but didn't care. I have blood pulled in my pelvis and surrounding my liver is a big hematoma after struggling to get out of there. I said thanks for nothing and the security guards just laughed at me and said you're welcome. Aultman ER. Luckily I was able to get in to see a caring doctor today who told me how I got seriously hurt. Thanks for nothing aultman er. At least at here I can't get laughed at while saying that nor have to struggle in pain to get to my car. This is a terrible hospital to go to. I recommend going to any other hospital if you want to be treated with respect and avoid possibly getting violently assaulted if you don't do exactly what they want or ask too many questions...
