Rehabs That Take Uprise Health

Uprise Health is a behavioral health and employee assistance program company that works with employers and health plans. Its programs can open a route to drug and alcohol treatment, often through counseling or a referral, and benefits vary by plan, network and level of care.Listed centers in Arizona, California and Texas name Uprise Health on their own websites. Employee assistance benefits usually cover short-term counseling, with longer treatment paid through your medical plan. Before admission, contact the facility and Uprise Health to check which program you have, whether a referral or prior authorization is needed, and what your medical coverage pays.

Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does Uprise Health cover rehab?

Yes, but only through the health plan it administers, not through its employee assistance program. Where an employer, union trust or health plan hires Uprise Health to run the mental health and substance use benefit, the company manages detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care under medical necessity review.

An employee assistance program on its own pays for a set number of short-term counseling sessions and a referral, with longer treatment billed to your medical plan.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Is Uprise Health an insurance company?

No. Uprise Health is an Irvine, California company that administers behavioral health benefits and runs employee assistance programs; it does not insure the benefits. On a self-insured employer plan it handles utilization management, claims administration and the provider network, while the employer or trust funds the claims.

That is why two members holding Uprise Health materials can have very different coverage: the plan document, not the administrator, sets what treatment is paid.

Employee Assistance Programshttps://rehabseekers.com/payment/employee-assistance-programs/
Is Uprise Health the same as IBH?

Yes. IBH, Integrated Behavioral Health, rebranded as Uprise Health on October 5, 2021, after acquiring a digital mental health platform called Uprise in March 2021. The company, the network and the benefit administration stayed the same; only the name on member materials changed.

Older member documents may still show the IBH name or the members.ibhsolutions.com portal. The general member and provider line is 1-800-395-1616.

Uprise Health is not an insurance company. It is an Irvine, California firm that sells employee assistance programs and administers the mental health and substance use side of plans owned by employers, union trusts, public bodies and health plans. For anyone pricing treatment, what the employer or fund bought decides far more than the Uprise Health name on the card does.

Two products carry that one brand and lead to different places. An employee assistance program is a set number of short-term counseling sessions at no cost, with assessment, referral and work-life services attached. Managed behavioral health, sold as a full carve-out, is administration of the employer’s own benefit: authorization, network and claims across detox, residential care, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Where a self-insured employer is the payer, Uprise Health reviews and pays the claim but does not insure the benefit.

The company was called IBH, or Integrated Behavioral Health, until it rebranded on October 5, 2021, and older brands still appear on benefit booklets. This guide covers which levels of care an Uprise-administered plan pays for, where pre-authorization applies, what two published employer plans charge, how medication is handled, and how to find a program that works with the benefit.
