Neuropsychiatric Institute – Tampa

I made the hour long drive to Tampa every other week. I had chosen this to be my behavioral health doctor when I first moved to Florida. NPI has seen me at my worst and best! My therapist was young and recently married.… She is expecting a child and I hope my stories help her with raising a new baby. I felt comfortable explaining situations because she seemed supportive and promised to keep my information confidential. Mental Illnesses can sometimes be genetic, but in many cases the problem is with the behaviors of the family unit. *** The psychiatrist I was assigned to had worked with the VA hospitals before being employed at NPI. She had explained once that there was a blood test that revealed which pharmacuticals worked best with your body. I tried to have this test done. No one had any information about this. The current procedure was to prescribe different drugs until you knew which ones didn't work.

We have been to many counselors, but finally found one that works great for us. Staff is very friendly and easy to work with for appointments, changes, insurance, etc. HIGHLY recommended!!!

If I could rate as 0 or - that would be more appropriate. Rudest people up front and billing person unethical. 6 weeks wasted and I would say RUN don’t walk away from this horrible practice. If you have anxiety disorder… this is the very worst place. You would think with all the horrible reviews they’d replace front office staff ESPECIALLY BILLING LADY. Oh yes I am almost 60 years old with physical limitations and I intimidated Dr Hong??? Read your reviews I’m not alone in knowing this place sucks! Rude!!!! 2 stars lol and the provider I stopped in the hallway was the doctor I was being billed for seeing. And yes since I have moved here to Florida the unprofessional people in the Mental Health field leave a lot to be desired. None of this would fly up north the practice would be closed down. -and how mature of you to blast a former client on social media! Charges still PAID BY MY INSURANCE FOR FRAUD AND if it was any kind of a professional practice they wouldn’t share private information on the internet HIPPA!?

Dr. Lourdes Lozano is an excellent professional. Very good service.

Customer service is terrible. Its easier to pull teeth from a gator than it is to reach the person you need to speak with, even after leaving multiple messages on a vm line for a call back.

After reading these comments and the referral from my doctor, I'd never visit that place again, not even if you paid me. I'd only leave with more depression and anxiety.

I have two children that see Ashley. My children love seeing her. I have a teenager and an 8 year old. We are growing as a family with her help.

Great Dr. very easy to talk to and understanding. Glad I was able to find him.

It’s amazing to me that a place that is supposed to offer mental health services has completely rude front desk staff. If you have a problem with a prescription, it’s like pulling teeth from a cow to get an answer and… some help so you will waste a co-pay on attempting to get mental health services for yourself and be driven MAD throughout the process. I still haven’t received any information back on when I can get my prescription after not arguing not only with my insurance but with pharmacist and these customer service representatives at this location. This is the reason why people don’t want to get the help that they need.

Are you at the end of the proverbial rope? Absolutely nothing you are doing or trying is working out? This was my case sometime ago as I was broken, hurting, desperate, and spiritually bankrupt! Conveniently located on Spruce Street in the heart of Tampa 20 minutes from anywhere with ample parking and just a few steps to the front door. The waiting area is clean, immaculate, spacious, comfortable, and holds a true sense of security, privacy and safety. Scheduling is a breeze as phone calls are managed as everything else with absolute efficiency, reliability and with the patients needs prioritized. NPI holds a number of practitioners of the highest caliber with Doctor Hong as the director. It was by God‘s grace that I was appointed to the director himself by an affiliate of NPI as my case held additional responsibilities and liabilities requiring his one to one support and supervision. I assure you that your needs will be met at NPI regardless of who ever manages your case. In my case, Dr. Victor Hong was appointed as my primary practitioner and provider. I waited no more than 20 minutes when I heard Doctor Hong‘s call and was absolutely blown away by his angelic presence! A tall, handsome man with his warm genuine smile and eyes that seem to penetrate your pain reaching your heart and soul. There is absolutely nothing that can hide itself from the eyes of Doctor Victor Hong! He holds abilities, gifts and powers that I have yet to fully comprehend. And with these God like abilities, Doctor Victor Hong went right to work on my case and I did not have to wait weeks or months for improvements as in no time Doctor Victor Hong quickly and efficiently addressed my symptoms, giving me complete relief and a renewed sense of hope for life! And it was with this renewal that I was able to address my problems from a new perspective as Doctor Victor Hong and I went to work in order to find locate address and get to the absolute and true root of my problem and issues! Problems and issues that were destroying and suffocating me to death! Problems and issues that I had suffered from for decades that no one else could seem to identify nor understand! Even I myself was blinded! However, Doctor Victor Hong with his god given discernment and xray vision identified, exposed, and revealed the truth! The true ROOT of all my challenges that were stealing my life and soul! Slowly but surely leading to my demise! It is said that the truth will set you free and indeed, this has come to pass for me through NPI and Doctor Victor Hong! Today I am free indeed! This newfound freedom did not come easy as it did take cooperative efforts from all parties. But I assure you that no matter what the situation is, NPI with Doctor Hong as the director will for sure, quickly and efficiently, relieve your pain and suffering, go to work on finding and managing the true source of your problems without judgment completely delivering you mind, body and soul! Today is the best day of my life and with NPI and Dr Hong tomorrow will only get better!!!

I love my nurse and therapist there. Easy to get to. Prompt appointments, and most of all caring, productive care for my needs.

The therapists are great but billing never answers their phones and never calls you back. If you miss a copay they make you pay it before you can schedule a new appointment but to get a refund from them takes months and… months.

Doctor gonzalez is absolutely wrong.In so many ways, she had a patient that she kept telling to change meds. Even though the meds were perfect for him, they decided to change the meds on him.And then he got baker acted,… then he started down going downhill and it's been 6 months, and he's still not stable. Thank you for this. It's so lovely that you had to screw up his medications and tear his family apart. And she never responded to our call when we called or anything. This doctor is absolutely not fit to be a doctor. And she changed his medicine through telehealth, what you really can't tell nothing on telehealth. At all, especially somebody who has mental problems. He was great on his old medicine but she didn't like it because it was old medicine and not the newer stuff that she prescribed. I wish I could give this a 0 star. But one star will have to do. She is unfit to be a doctor period.

If I could give this office 100 stars, I would! Finding good mental health services is SO hard. Trust me, I've been there! Earlier this year, I was referred to Dr. Hong's office seeking the help I so desperately needed.… Dr. Hong listens to his patients, which is something I felt like had never happened, especially after being misdiagnosed years prior. I'm so thankful I found Dr. Hong and have him throughout this process. Additionally, my therapist, whom I see every week, is Ashley Trevino. I cannot say enough good things about her! I have never felt judged for anything that I have said. She's seen me ugly cry, and Ashley always knows how to give me coping mechanisms to help me through whatever I am going through. Ashley is the first female therapist that I have seen, and I wasn't even sure I was going to like her. But I LOVE HER. She is fantastic at her job, and she answers my questions and helps me with my problems. I cannot say enough good things about Ashley. She has been a Godsend to me! The entire office is pleasant - from Dr. Hong, to my therapist, and even the front office staff. They're always smiling and pleasant during the checkout process. The office is clean and well kept. I'm so thankful for taking the step to set up an evaluation appointment in February and waiting to be seen. Thank you for all the help NPI has given me over the last several months!!

What a wonderful place of help...Susie Roux is spectacular with her support and guidance to help me deal with my issues..and I want to give an extra special thank you to Maritza she is probably hands down the most… perfect qualified person on the other side of the phone I have ever spoken to! Thank you to this fine place very Much!

Tried to get help for my son (who is 11) called twice was hung up on twice....geeze if you dont want to help then I suggest you get out of this profession
