Great meds. No real support, if you’re looking for a place to lean on this ain’t it. Not saying it’s a bad place, just lacks support. Discharged me and then asked me if i needed help. Think it’s the other way around.… Save the time and get help from a place that follows up with your personal needs. Not just here take a pill and if it does not work bye.

Coming from a 7+ year Heroin / Fentanyl addict who is now 116 days clean (as of today), this outpatient program really did blow my expectations out of the water. I have no idea how this place doesn't have a higher… rating than it does. I wouldn't trust many of these negative reviews to be honest...my guess is that a majority of them are from people that are still suffering from this disease of addiction and something minor and/or specific set them off into having a negative experience here. In any case, all I can convey here is the experience that I myself have had at Parallax - and it's been absolutely amazing (and throughout these entire 10 weeks that I have been going to Outpatient groups, every person I have talked to has only had glowing things to say about it as well!). It's SO clear how much the staff - from the facilitators / counselors all the way to the front desk / reception - truly cares about helping folks recover from alcoholism and drug addiction. HUGE shoutout to Ashley, one of the group counselors, as she is so caring and compassionate and truly lives her job the way she lives her life, and it makes such a difference. But whether it's Ashley or another counselor, these groups have been so instrumental to my recovery and I cannot thank them all enough for contributing so positively to my recovery journey. Without Parallax, I do not know where I would be right now - so if you're thinking about an Outpatient Program or an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), I would definitely try giving Parallax a shot. I promise you will not regret it!

These people pulls u in with a smile and then steals ur own meds.. how does that happen!!? Wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t had to leave due to personal reasons. They took my meds that I normally received from my doctor… and kept it then put into my personal records that I was given a 90 day supply of benzodiazepines to take home for treatment rather than the daily going in and given four for the day. When called to clarify so I can get back my own meds from my own doctor they refused to speak to both my doctor and myself which left me with nothing to use becos guess who my doctor believed… not me!!!! Had to take urine test to show I wasn’t on their meds in order to get back mines!! This place is so shady!

They have no idea what they’re doing here. They should be shut down. Recently came back to give it another chance they still have the same incompetent doctors. Stay away!

Don't come to this place!!! I have a million examples of how incompetent they are but the one that sticks out is I told them the wrong amount of xanax I was taking when I first came in I said I'd been on 5 mg but I was… clearly wrong and had forgotten I was taking more like 10 mg because my memory wasn't clear and I was embarassed and so after my heart beat was extremely fast and they kept me at 5 mg I wrote them a thoughtful letter saying I'd told them the initial amount was off. They said they couldn't bring me up on my dose despite the fact that I had to compensate with outside drugs because they had me on too low of a dose. Then kicked me out of the program for compensating with these outside drugs because they didn't believe me even though my heart rate was so fast and I was shaking. The nurses are fine but the doctor is the most arrogant apathetic woman I've ever met and looked down on me. So they kicked me out without even a day supply of my medication which gave me the only options of inpatient at a horrible psych ward or suffering and possibly dying because it's very dangerous to go from 5mg of xanax to 0. They also kicked me out because there was ketamine in my urine which I told them from the beginning I had a ketamine prescription and I know they said "no substances outside of what were giving you except for weed" but because I assumed they were seeing the ketamine in my pee every day and so I thought it was okay.

Parallax Center saves my life. I enjoyed my groups and all employees are helpful but Nazra is always there to help us get on to the group and always checking on us if we need more coffee and snacks. If you need to have… back your life come to Parallax Center.

Parallax Center is a place where you immediately feel safe, welcome, and like part of a family. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always showing genuine care to ensure that patients receive the best… treatment possible. A special thank you to Nazra for always making sure we have plenty of coffee and snacks for our groups!

A friend of mine decided to use the services at Parallax to do outpatient detox. I was horrified and disgusted witnessing “the protocol”. They hand out a cocktail of potent a medication and send you on your way to… manage your routine and life which will unquestionably be turned on its head. It was terrifying. This establishment is reckless (at best). I urge anyone who is making the choice to detox (especially a dangerous detox like benzos or alcohol) to seek legitimate professional assistance elsewhere.

Beware. This center only gives help when it's convenient for them. They turn you away if you need to attend again and only care about getting paid. Go literally ANYWHERE but here. Trust me.

If you need help don't wait,just go there,Parallax team is amazing they helped me to be myself again,i been struggling for 4 years and with my problem,after so long i decided it time for a change,and they helped me,now… i feel happy again and i finally can sleep as normal people do. MILO

The service that the Parallax center affords to those in need is safe and reliably proven to work by peer-reviewed science. Years ago, I vetted outpatient detox services that was capable of handling patients such as… myself. Their methodology works! In the future, should I find others in trouble needing to detox from various stages of substance abuse and are serious about taking their recovery seriously, this is the only place I would recommend.

We worked with Parallax center to get help for a family member. The center is great, but their lab partners are out of network on most insurance and engage in extremely shady billing practices. Expect to get nailed with… thousands in unexpected fees one or two months after your service. Ask before you start your service is your tests will be sent to Quality Laboratory Service. Also look up 'Surprise billing' it's a new NYS law that can help if you catch shady billers in time.

Nazra she is really a great person she been working on getting my prescription covered for over a month and i really apprciate it she is a hard worker and very friendly to person to talk to. Parallax Center helps and… save life.

Highly unique modality which gives the person struggling the option to detox from home in the comfort of their own surroundings and not locking them up. If this method were not available I would not be able to detox and… my use would continue to spiral. Often times addiction treatment has very minimal to no options. Including the patient and treatment as much as possible collaborating with them on medications gives the patient an individualized approach dignity and a better outcome because the patient knows themselves. Furthermore the combination of medications they use are on point I had been here one time in the past and presently and these are not substances that will not go without a war. The nurse is genuinely intent on keeping me as comfortable as possible and this is not usually the case inpatient or cold turkey and often leads to relapse. Furthermore the team is very educated, compassionate in person centered. It's a great option especially if you had the barriers I have and going impatient and denying all of your responsibilities will cause more issues than detoxing.

Extremely helpful, supportive and professional staff that offer expert detox support. Everyone from the front desk to all the staff I saw, there was a judgement free zone. Highly recommend

I went to parallax a while ago to get off of alcohol. The young lady at the front desk is in the wrong job. She was very nasty and talking on her cell. She acted like I was getting on her nerves. She charged my copay… three times and then had an attitude The other lady was ok but didn't know much either. Outside of getting sober, the lady Desire who did my intake call was so down to earth, she treated me like she knew me forever. This woman told me she was proud of me and I've never felt so much relief. I been in treatment plenty of places and Desire is the most honest and caring person i have talked to yet. The nurse Hiram was very nice too and smart but Desire is the only reason I would recommend them honestly. The young girl who did my in person interview didn't seem to understand the real world outside of wherever she came from. Some go learn in a book and it shows. The girl wasn't bad but not good either. If I didn't have such a food experience over the phone with Desire I would give them only 2 stars. The way you feel make a big difference

Took my friend to get help and they are very clean and super friendly staff inez the receptionist is heartwarming and very pleasent on the phone and deesire the coordinator is outstandin she is attentive to your needs… good place for anyone lookin to seek help def recommend.

What a great experience with Nazra! I was having trouble resolving a bill with my insurance company - 40 minutes on the phone and no luck. I called Parallux and got connected to Nazra. Not only so polite she had me send… her a copy of my bill and resolved it in 15 minutes! Such a relief! She is great!
