Great Oaks Recovery Center – Egypt Detox and Rehab Services
What Great Oaks Recovery Center – Egypt offers, on record, is detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Withdrawal is managed under clinical observation before other treatment begins, which matters most in the first seventy-two hours for alcohol and benzodiazepines. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Great Oaks Recovery Center – Egypt Address, Location and Contact Information
11210 FM 102, Egypt, Texas, 77436 is the address held. Egypt sits in Wharton County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. Remote appointments may be possible where travel is a barrier. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

If Great Oaks Recovery Center treated you or someone close to you, your account would help the next family deciding.
Great facility that truly cares. They check on everyone and make sure they are physically and mentally well. They listen to feedback and implement. The food is great but make sure you make it there during the meal… windows. The class and groups are also great Note: they will take your phones and only have them during special times
Great place with staff who truly care about your recovery! I am coming up to 6 months and I can’t thank Great Oaks enough.
My first name is Pittman. Over the past year and a half I have been to great oaks 3 times. Each time I did a ten day detox. The last time I tried to do 30 and only made it to 14 days. Point is that this place is not… perfect although the kitchen staff and food were both the best, but I gotta say this place and the staff are very sincere about recovery and the clients. Again, no recovery center is perfect, but the obstacles are easy to get around if you want help. I thank you great oaks staff for picking me up and getting me back to my wife and my life!!! Pittman B
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My experience with Great Oaks Recovery was truly positive. From the beginning, I felt welcomed, respected, and treated like a person rather than just another client. The staff were compassionate, understanding,… and genuinely seemed to care about helping me move forward. Recovery isn’t always easy, but having people around you who are supportive and nonjudgmental makes a huge difference. I appreciated the encouragement, guidance, and sense of community throughout my time there. I’m grateful for the experience and for the people at Great Oaks Recovery who played a part in helping me take steps toward a healthier and better future. I would definitely recommend Great Oaks Recovery to anyone looking for a supportive environment and people who truly care.
My stay at Great Oaks was one I will never forget. As an addict of 25 years I never thought any treatment center could have such an impact on me and my recovery. Great Oaks was amazing!!! It was a beautiful place in a… secluded location. I needed that. The houses were clean, the food was amazing, and the staff was top notch!!!! My counselor amy was the absolute best. My case manager Jody was a God sent. The things they did for me NOBODY ANYWHERE ELSE could have even came close to doing what they did!!!! I love Great Oaks!!!! They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel extremely comfortable. I felt the staff was more like family then employees. All the way down to the amazing kitchen staff!!!! I'm a hard person to deal with, anywhere else would have probably kicked me out. Lol. But they didn't. They helped me get through problems EVERY TIME!!!! And on the days my case manager wasn't there, Catie the other case manager would step in and knock it out the park as well. I'm sooo greatful for Great Oaks. They helped mold me and change me in the best ways I can't even begin to explain. If u or someone you love need help with there sobriety GREAT OAKS IS THE PLACE!!!!! THANK YOU GREAT OAKS!!!! for all u did for me. I am extremely greatful and I love you guys!! -John B.
They really became like a family to me... they literally saved myblife and marriage.... God forbid but if i ever need treatment again i will not look other way but Great Oaks... if you are struggling, PLEASE call… them.... i promise you, you will not regret it... get your life back.... no need to continue in that deep hole .... by the way im celebrating 46 days sober.... thanks to great oaks and the tools they gave me to stay that way....
This was the Best facility I've ever been to. It served every purpose in my recovery, not to mention the amenities. I recommend this facility to anyone looking to get sober.
I was at Great Oaks recently, and I've been through other places prior to this. The staff are all great people that know the disease of addiction, they were patient , understanding, and will call you on you BS. Reality… versus expectations. If you wanna learn how to live without the trap in your life, this place is by far the best place I've been, but you gotta really want it, or no place you go is gonna fix you. This place will get you the tools. Use em.
I struggled with depression, bipolar disorder, and 15 years of addiction to heroin, speed, and alcohol. They teach great coping skills, grounding techniques, and other tools and exercises in the classes they have day in… day out throughout the week. They psychiatric doctors and medical team is great, they put me on the proper medications that have my disorders under control. Their staff and techs are great, they don't judge because they have been through addiction and are active in recovery. They transport clients twice a week to 12 step Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, which are optional. The food is great, and they have a gym and swimming pool for the clients in rehab. I went there for a 30 day residential treatment in April, got sober, found a sponsor in AA and began working steps and my recovery journey, and got in good physical shape and regained my physical and mental health. I have four months continued sobriety, before I went to Great Oaks Recovery Center I couldn't go more than a couple weeks without drinking or using drugs. I recommend this place to anyone who's serious about getting sober and changing their life.
The location is so tranquil. The pool is so relaxing and big enough to swim laps or play volleyball. All the staff are awesome. The kitchen, techs, medical, therapists, and maintenance staff are accommodating,… understanding, and helpful. The equine therapist and her horses were amazing. I just celebrated one year of freedom from addiction. I appreciate Great Oaks. I couldn’t do it alone. Great Oaks help lay the foundation of my recovery and with the help of my higher power along with the after care recovery program, I am rebuilding my life “one day at a time”. I am staying connected to Great Oaks through their alumni program with their weekly zoom meetings and monthly activities. I Would suggest Great Oaks to anyone seeking help from addiction.
This is a great place! Came in very sick and they helped me to recover. The therapists are on point, especially Patrick. The food is awesome, the staff nice, and the property is beautiful and Serene. Country instead of… clinical. Especially helpful was my case manager Jody Eaton. This special lady made sure I was locked on before leaving. She scheduled aftercare, helped me find housing, bus passes, clothes, and food to get started. She will call and check on you till you answer. The alumni program is awesome and keeps you plugged in. Great Oaks was one of the best decisions I've ever made.Autumn Valero helped me find it and made sure I got there safely. She walked me through the whole entry process. This place can change your life
My name is Jason...hands down the best treatment center I've had the opportunity of attending. My case manager Jody goes above and beyond her call of duty..Great curriculum...
Not terrible, but false information before they ship you off to a place- you can't leave otherwise. 1) I was told (sold) you can have your cell phone at all time. FALSE. 2) Your opinion doesn't matter, they will ask for… it- but it means nothing. 3) This is nothing more than an adult day care that follows prison rules. Upper management needs to listen, we're not children- we're not prisoners. Yet you treat us like both. Oh, give you're food lady (cook) an attitude check- worst attitude I've ever experienced. *Opinion, find somewhere else to go- for the level of insurance they accept- there has to be better options. I wouldn't know from experience but from what I'm told...
I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I received during my stay. The staff was compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my recovery. The program provided me with valuable tools and a strong… foundation for sobriety. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking help with alcohol addiction.
Great Oaks saved my life! My therapist Tami and the support staff ( Morgan, Jamie and Marilyn ) were instrumental in my recovery.
Great Oaks is way wonderful recovery center! They go above and beyond because they truly care for each person there. The staff is great, and they always have Alumni events to keep their growing community connected. If I… could give 10 stars I would!
I Came for a new life. It a hard decision To make but was the best place for me. I love the Country setting. It’s just beautiful. The houses and accommodations are beautiful as well. The classes are informative. Staff… is capable of giving you the health choices for Individual cases. Everyone is very sweet and understanding. I would recommend this place to family and friends
Refused phone calls for medical records sent another client medication with me to chase me down.. have all info refused calls all hung up recorded for my own well being now answered let's see how this goes.
Tonya is possibly the worst person that could be chosen for her position. She is unaware of how she comes across to people.
This is one of the first steps to progress! Finding God and sobriety has changed my life drastically. If you’re struggling, and need help this is the place for YOU. Exceptional staff, and a beautiful creation all… around. 120% satisfaction and freedom. What are you waiting for?
The most welcoming place! The people are wonderful and friendly. The food was very good. And it’s a relaxed atmosphere.
This started off very good with everyone great until we caught the Head of the Center when making Wal Mart runs would steal all the change from a hundred dollar bill every time and lie about it! Then you had to listen… to her in the counseling sessions tell you to be an honest person in life! She lied about it happening and sadly the staff all believed her! Do Not Go Here For Help!!!!!
"One of the hardest but best decisions I've ever made was to admit I needed help and check into Great Oaks. I came in feeling completely beaten down after years of struggling with alcohol. From the moment I talked to… the intake coordinator, I felt a genuine sense of care that surpassed my expectations. The staff was incredibly attentive, understanding, and supportive throughout my entire stay. Their professionalism combined with their personal experience in recovery made all the difference; they truly understood what I was going through. The program was outstanding, offering a variety of classes and therapies that helped me address underlying issues and learn essential coping skills. The small group sessions provided a safe space to share and get feedback from both peers and counselors. I learned what I needed to do to stay sober after leaving treatment. The facility itself was very peaceful which created an environment where I could focus on healing. Today, my life has changed for the better. I am confident I can face life sober and the fear that once consumed me is gone. I am eternally grateful to Great Oaks for providing me with the foundation and tools I needed to build a new life in recovery. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help."
A family member needed help and after researching we decided on the Great Oaks Recovery Center. I cannot recommend enough. The family member has been in recovery for coming up on 5 years and I firmly believe Great Oaks… gave them the start they needed to achieve that. The ongoing Alumni events and relationships past the initial stay have been great as well.
This is the real David B. A.K.A. Shiney David, there is a disgruntled ex employee making fake reviews I'm David and my friend Heather didn't put a bad review here either. I recommend this treatment facility 110%! This… place and the staff there saved my life! I was so close to death when I went through the door that I know I wouldn't have made it to the next day. They made me feel like family right off and treated me with empathy and respect! I will always be greatful and loyal to G.O.R.C. Tactical Recovery was great and I learned more in my time here than the last 15 years of recovery.
Jody, Amy, Patrick, Tammy, Dexter… and all the great oaks staff played a huge part in teaching me a better more successful way to live. They showed me recovery can be fun. I love Great Oaks and would recommend them to… anyone looking to live a sober fun life in recovery…
I got out of Great Oaks on June 11, 2025. I can honestly say that place made me such a better person and helped me more than ever! I have been sober since going in on May 8, 2025. The staff is AMAZING the director is… the shit and very funny! Food is great and they really care about helping! The case managers are the best ever! I would highly recommend this place to anyone struggling with any type of addiction
