Exquiste facility, top teir staff and techs. Bryan is great, Tommy guns is a knockout tech, old friends from the east coast. Gets the job done. Practical and reliable guy.
Brian and the other techs have been amazing!
I applied for outpatient program, they said I would receive a call at 6 am for an assessment but they never called . Unprofessional and waste of time .
One year removed.. I was treated with an indifference that felt like malice in the residential program.. felt like several counselors held personal grudges.. and the at the time new program director Dallas.. is best… described as intimidating expectant and tactless.. would not hear what I, the client, would like to do and completely disregarded the plan my counselor and I came up with after firing her.. I was pushed out and forced into their housing and to their iop.. no options given just compliance or the door.. I was homeless so I stayed I am sober now no thanks to their programs At one time I felt like I was apart of something.. what I experienced at another treatment center made me realize the only thing I was apart of there was a mess but like an abusive relationship I kept going back because it was the first time in years I had anything..
They mislead you at the very beginning, you think you are in treatment for a month and they say no its 3 months. No one passes an assessment for the court. If you are in treatment and you have a relative or family… member pass away the care more about the money and you staying in treatment than about your family. If you are empty inside then these people are for you..
This Place is the best, I came with nothing, Started at Progress Valley, and its been almost 4yrs, still sober 100% abstinence, I now have my license my own home, I work in recovery, life has never been better..And… Progress valley helped start my journey
I'm here right now and there is several people high and have drugs I told the directors about it and she didn't seem to care
As a working person with a career, and a good son who is a caregiver to my mother, I have nothing but eternal thanks and gratitude to Progress Valley, my counselor(don't know if it's appropriate to name them), and… honestly the WHOLE team! I searched far and wide for an outpatient treatment program that understood my needs, and this place was it! If you want understanding, respect, AND accountability as a working professional in this chaos we call recovery, give these people a shot! They seriously helped work a miracle in my life🙏💯❤️✊
If You don’t want to quit using, this is the place to go! I’ve been there 3 xs. The first time was ok. The second time I was there, my roommate smoked meth the entire time in our room. ( I stayed out of the room as much… as possible bc all she did was listen to crime shows without headphones). The third time I was there we had 3 ambulances in one week bc people were doing pressed Xanax. People were smoking and shooting up in the bathroom. A girl missed her vein and just left a puddle of blood. Just disgusting. People nodding out and using. The counselors are useless, especially Nick. They help you with nothing. You have to do everything on your own. The girl smoking meth in the room had black marks all over her sheets from cleaning her bubble ( right under her pillow, staff doesn’t do thorough room checks obviously). If you’re serious about getting help don’t go there! Also if you go to IOP and mess up and end up back in inpatient, ( the counselors get their lunch on the inpatient side ), the counselors you had for months act like you don’t exist. If you see them, they just ignore you.
Despite some of the bad reviews I’ve seen of progress valley? Personally they have helped me many times. I believe recovery isn’t always getting it right the first time. They always welcomed me back with open arms and… were proud of me for making the step to come back into an inpatient treatment. I am now going on 5 months sober & am so grateful for the program. If it wasn’t for them and what I’ve learned from them through the years I would probably be dead. Juli is amazing, faith is absolutely a sweetheart and so caring, the director lady Renee used to scare the shit out of me but she just cares about you and is very much just straight forward and wants the best for you. I have seen many people who have graduated the program come back and work there themselves and I believe it’s beautiful because they are also helping their recovery by working with people and helping them stay sober and be supports! I hope one day I could come and work for progress valley! Thank you guys for everything you do & I am sorry that some people have had bad experiences here, progress valley isn’t for everyone just like everyone has different tastes in things. I personally loved progress valley & I always will.
If I could rate this at a zero star, I would. I personally witnessed the lack of safety, professionalism, integrity, and all of what a true treatment is built on. This is all the way up to the Director. These people… have no moral ground and let the program run itself. Imagine letting addicts run the program. How the city, county, & state let this place function any further is beyond me.
By far the best rehab I been too and still going to currently love the staff and techs and all the councilors very nice and there to help with anything you need they help me with clothes and everything I highly… recommend going here
The place was not at all what it was explained to me to be i thought i was going to a womens program and i get there and it’s co-ed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE but shout out to the tech Tammy and counselor Juli and… the few others who were actually kind to me and showed compassion in this difficult time in my life
Very unprofessional. After my initial call, they never called me back for almost a week and a half. The mental health lady was very unprofessional. She canceled my first two appointments one after I drove 3 hours to… once I got in the door she canceled my appointment while in a session after being there for 15 minutes. Then put somebody else in my appointment after being late for 7 minutes because I couldn't find parking. And the reception is there look like she was high as hell and told me she previously had struggled with addiction while I think she's struggling now
My Son DIED here! It is gross negligence for someone to die in the very place that is supposed to help one through it. He was suffering from post acute withdrawal syndrome and they felt no urgency to get him on… medication or supervise and support him through it. He was left alone!!! Fentanyl laced drugs were delivered to him at the facility and he died on property in their “care.” They don’t even follow their own policies. They knew he had relapsed and did nothing to help him. He didn’t leave the program. He stayed and died from their failure!
I had a tremendous experience
I wanna know why there are no pictures showing inside the facility or any of the programs within the facility that alone is very shady to me I wanna know when I’m dropping off a loved one in there care that they are… being taken care of that they are in a safe environment that helps there mental not make it worse if you want more donations I’d start there as how can u expect us to donate anything when we don’t even know what we’re donating too I wanna see programs that they are on I wanna see outlets for this new found energy I wanna see living standards I wanna see the inside of you facility your steps everything I wanna know that when my loved one walks in those doors that you are helping them to the best of your ability. So if you’re looking for donations I’d start there.
Complete joke if you have mental health issues go somewhere else if you can. They keep taking clients in but aren't staffed enough to manage everybody.
You make one mistake and they kick you out. If you truly want support don’t come here
This is a good program if you are trying to get better for real- Thanks PV
I waited several months after leaving progress valley to write this review. I wanted it to be honest and I didn't want my emotions at the time to influence this review. However, even as time has passed, my perspective… on this place has stayed the same. Progress valley is NOT "positive reinforcement" based, as they claim to be. The program works like this: there are five "colors". What color youre on depends on how long you've been in their program and how many days youve been sober. I came to progress valley from a 30 day inpatient treatment facility, so I started out on yellow. This meant that after 2 weeks, I could start earning, "passes". If you're doing everything you're supposed to, (making it to group on time, getting meds on time, cleaning your room and doing your chore) then you will earn a chip. If you earn enough chips, you can buy a pass. On the yellow phase, you can only get two, three hour passes a week. That's hardly enough time to go see a movie or go out to dinner with your partner or family member. But that wasn't my biggest issue. AA and physical fitness have always been a huge part of my recovery. I was not allowed to leave the facility to go to the gym or go to AA meetings or even meet with my sponsor unless I wanted to use one of my passes to do so. Keep in mind, you only get two, three hour passes a week. I brought this up to counselor on multiple occasions, ALWAYS respectfully, and I was met with attitude every time. I wasn't trying to argue. I was simply offering feedback because I'm not the only one who utilizes AA and fitness in their recovery. Progress valley isnt about progress. It is about standing still. And i didn't realize this until I made the decision to switch to a different program. I am now living at a sober house with the freedom to transition back to normal every day living. At progress valley there were two options everyday: sit outside and watch people smoke cigarettes or sit inside and watch TV. I always felt like the staff and counselors at progress valley were trying to catch me in a lie or in the act of doing something wrong. There was absoloutely no trust and they seemed to have forgotten that I was there on my own volition. I WANTED to be there. I was at progresss valley for 6 weeks. I never made it past the yellow phase. If you are looking for a place to grow and find REAL progress in your recovery, look elsewhere.
Gross sober apartments, staff isn't helpful, terrible recovery program I've ever been to. I highly suggest nuway they pay for deposit and rent while attending group.
