About Ku Aloha Ola Mau – Honolulu

Ku Aloha Ola Mau operates from 1130 North Nimitz Highway in Honolulu. The site sits in Honolulu County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Halawa and Hickam Housing. Hawaii draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Ku Aloha Ola Mau

Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Im late for work every morning its absolutely the worst part of my day getting there at 5 20 and waiting for a hour. Also the lady running the front desk is not a very good personality at 5 in the morning. She makes it… 10 times worse

I had a great experience with Ku Aloha. I was on the clinic for almost 5 years. I even stopped smoking cigarettes when I was on the clinic. We had to attend group sessions and one on one counseling sessions.i decided to… attend their tobacco cessation program. They gave me patches and gum to help with the cravings and honestly I wouldn't have been able to stop without them. Patches and gum are expensive at Longs . They really helped my Well Being in every aspect. With the individual counseling and the group sessions , I was really able to feel good about myself again. Thank you to all the counselors and doctors and nurses and staff that helped me there .

I transferred from a huge clinic on the mainland and was only at the clinic for about 6 weeks before abruptly having to leave. I didn't even have time to call and tell them. I came back about a year is her and was… afraid they would have a grudge because I left without a word but they didn't they made me feel very welcome. . I am very thankful for them and all their patience as I can be kinda ditsy sometimes. I am again moving but am very thankful that they allowed me to come to their clinic versus champ. I haven't meet an office full of kinder more patience pop people who actually care about your well being. Thank you KU aloha ok a my.

Husband and I came for Vacation for a week. Ku Aloha helped us tremendously with courtesy doses. Payment wasn't too bad, $100 total for one week per person. Was more expensive at another location but this place is… cleaner and the employees are very friendly and informative. Thank you, Ku Aloha Ola Mau!!!

Been going there since 2015. Stopped because it helped me enough as it should. Plus, my counselor, Rob Parke, who I miss dearly, had to move. AAAAAAAAND they gave me Darlyn as a new counselor instead. No thanks. She had… a problem with eye contact during talking and really? With recovering addicts? I'm sharing intimate and traumatic moments in my life and you want me to look you square in your eyes? She was the main reason why I stop coming to the clinic abruptly I had a tapering plan in motion but if she was going to be my counselor? By the way, everyone. I'm alright. Just alright. Kessa is a saint, Steven and Ilene are still awesome, Mary is always mindful, and I forgot the new nurse's name (I'm sorry). David and John and Dr. Turban, no matter how few our interactions, you guys were great. One more thing, I really miss Rob. I wish Sterling stuck around...... I'll call Jessica (her name right?) back soon. ALSO I HEARD THAT JERRY IS AT THE WINDOW? She SHOULD be at the Caribbean enjoying her golden years.

Great sense of homeliness OHANA. Very knowledgable very knowledgeable about the practice, the employees the medicine and the many different diverse ethnicity of patients that he has and really cares. The office is easy to… find. The parking lot is tight but always have spaces which is great. Appointment setting , rescheduling is so easily taken care of.They are organized and telephone skills are very polite and intellectual. They're really good about privacy and with the patient information. His employees from the front desk to the back offices are very friendly. They always always always greet you with a smile and ask how you were doing and if there is anything they can do for you. Dr. Turban is practically there with or for you every step of the way through your treatment. The practice place and also the environment of their office is very children friendly. I am so happy that I chose Dr. turbans Office number out of maybe 510 listings on Google for the treatment that I am seeking help for. He has truly changed my life. I am a better mother a better sister a better daughter a better person and can actually live my life and have control over my life because of the help I received from Dr. turban. He's truly an angel in disguise.
