Families searching for treatment in Lexington often start with reviews. If you were a patient at 2nd Chance, or supported one, sharing how it went gives them something real to go on.
2nd Chance Clinic is, by far, the best experience I have ever had during my tumultuous recovery journey. The doctors, nurses, and staff are truly caring, compassionate, and make patient care their top priority. The… Medication Assisted Treatment (MRT) program at 2nd Chance is hassle-free, convenient and completely intuitive for new patients to navigate. My only complaint here is that I wish I could rate 10 stars versus 5. For those in treatment who are contemplating a change, or for those seeking out a treatment program for the first time, I highly recommend 2nd Chance Clinic, Lexington, Kentucky. Godspeed on your recovery journey.
This is the best place everyone treats me like family and it’s saved my life I never thought I would say that I used to use every excuse in the world has to good night get on maintenance I would say I was allergic etc..… It’s definitely saved my life and I’m grateful I’m grateful for all the doctors they take their time if you need them to answer anything you ask them the staff are absolutely wonderful. They go above and beyond I’ve had to reschedule appointments and they’re very helpful when it comes to that just a great place I would definitely suggest it to anyone and do and I would give him more than five stars. If I could try it, you might like it.
If you trying to kick the addiction then this is the place to be. They have Doctor's, case managers and helpful staff...
I've been coming here a little over a year now. I was first referred here after leaving a clinic I had gone to for 7 years. I couldn't find another doctor in my town qualified to treat me. Dr. Howard agreed to take me… as a patient. I'm so glad he did! He is without a doubt the best doctor I've seen in this journey I've been on for over 10 years. He is very smart and can always explain any medical problem I'm having to me better than the actual doctor I'm seeing. For instance, I've had to see a hematologist. I always talk to Dr. Howard and let him know when I see a specialist or need a procedure of any kind done. He is great about answering questions I have and can explain why the doctors say what they do or why they want a procedure done. He listens, he's professional, smart and good at what he does. I believe everything happens for a reason. I believe leaving my previous clinic of 7 years and ending up here was supposed to happen. My counselor, Jodi, is also great! She is kind and caring. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave, every single staff member here treats you good. You won't find a better place and I've been to a few. Highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Howard! Thanks to everyone that works here for making the last year a smooth transition for me.
They are my go to, to save my life. Because I just don't have another overdose in me. The staff is amazing, and I will forever be grateful to them and that company.
Wonderful People, I could never thank them enough. Truly grateful for everyone there.
Dr. Howard and this clinic saved my life. You think it will NEVER happen to you. I live with chronic pain. I was taking opioids for pain.. until I wasn’t. I was able to be honest with everyone in there. No one is… judgmental. They just want to HELP you. I always thought it would never happen to any of us. Addiction doesn’t discriminate. It will take EVERYTHING you have and more. If you want a place that is understanding, quick, helpful, caring, and not just in it for the money… Go to Second Chance.
Been going here for almost 5 years now, been sober ever since then! I see Rebekah and she's absolutely amazing!!! I couldn't have done it without them. I highly recommend this clinic!! They saved my life
I have went to this clinic in Lexington for a year. Seeing Rebekah mattingly, and she is absolutely amazing. Hands down the best practitioner I’ve ever seen. I live in Somerset. I tried to go to the Somerset clinic. My… doctor wasn't there that day. they treated me with unprofessional attitude, and disrespect. I was so apauled at the behavior of a certain female doctor I swore I would not step foot in that facility again. I travel once a month to Lexington. Only to see dr Rebekah. The staff here is so friendly, and so helpful they truely make you feel at home. Everyone is laid back with no judgement about getting help. I will stick with this facility for the remainder of my sobriety journey. This place is amazing. If you want to be treated like a human come to the Lexington location of second chance. Tabitha , and Lindsay are two of my favorites they are very professional while making you feel welcome, and like a person instead of a junkie. I will never go to Somerset again. It’s worth the drive for the hospitality!!!
If you are serious about getting and staying clean, don't go here. They act like it is too much trouble to provide addiction support, and they just can't figure out how to address insurance when you have it.
Great place they really care about their patients here I felt welcome and also they do their best to work with your schedule
The staff projects A very positive & friendly environment. The doctor's conduct a very proficient level of care for their patients. I would recommend either or of their 2 locations to anyone seeking help.
All of the staff are always very positive, professional, and friendly. They are always willing to work with you and my doctor is amazing at her job. Always so helpful, gives great guidance, listens to any… problems/concerns, and still always manages to engage asking questions about how my personal life is going. The counselors and counseling sessions are always informative, supportive, confidential, and a safe environment to share your feelings. My experience over the past 6 years here has always been a good one I must say. I would recommend to anyone seeking recovery.
Great cliniicc. The Dr''s are good as well. The. Staff up front will work with anyways they can. Been there 5 years and it's the best decision I. ever made. Dr Wrede help. Me so. Much he genuinely cares about his… patience and wants them to do good. He's the best Dr I ever had. I can't say enough good things about this place. Saved my life and. for that I'm truly grateful
Incredibly helpful and empathetic. Thank you Second Chance for your help!
Great place for recovery
Great staff , best team of doctors , they 100% care about you and try everything to provide for you! I’ve been clean 6 yrs thanks to them
Absolutely the worst Suboxone treatment clinic I've been to.Was on the medication for 5 years with another Dr.who.retired so I switched to second chance,my original Dr forwarded all medical records to second chance.I… was on once a month with one counseling session with original DR,when I went to second Chance the never bothered to look at my file. They started me completely over in the process.Wanted me to go to once a week with weekly counseling session, case management and everything else that goes with a new patient. All about the money here.Every charge here is 3X what it was with my original DR.Stay away from this place like it's the plague. Also expect at least a 2 hr wait to see the DR as they take walk-ins over appointments.
Absolutely love dr Ryan and Dr Rebecca been going for 2 years they saved my life. Some new dr for hep c treatment not so much as I work in new york for 3 month intervals I waited 4 months for the treatment because they… screwed up blood test 3 x the 4th visit mind you drove from NY 10 hours each way 4x to be told we have your medication but we can't give it to you...my pharmacy was supposed to call (my pharmacy is not in California idk what pharmacy they mean but I called them they didn't answer or call back) so not happy about that at all Now I gotta start over for hep c again thanks
Pleasant staff. Undering an supportive all my needs. U can count on them .
Great group of people.. I have really came a long ways with my recovery through MAT at second chance.
Wonderful staff they love their job and it shows.Thank You
Second Chance saved my life! Period point blank!!!
Don't come here. I feel horribly uncomfortable at every appointment. I would switch clinics, but I don't want to have to start over (I'm down to monthly). They kept messing up my appointments. I'm supposed to meet with… the same person individually every time, but they kept changing it to group. I used to like meeting with her, but now I have lost trust and no longer feel comfortable talking to my counselor. Appointments are a minimum of 2-3 hrs. I been on the waiting list for the psychiatrist for 10 months now. I really wish I would have started somewhere else and not invested my time here. I've been 100% compliant, and never failed a drug test. I really don't have anything good to say about this place. I feel nothing but anxiety here.
This place has turned into a pill mill, the patients do not matter it's about the money. You cannot schedule appointments around work. I had to reschedule an appointment and because they wrote down the wrong time I was… told that I couldn't even talk to a therapist for several hours even though I was begging to talk to someone. I hadn't had medicine in 2 days, I was sick had a sore throat and a headache it didn't matter to them. I told them that I was thinking about using and needed help, it didn't matter They told me there was no one there to talk to me. The woman at the desk started yelling at me which caused me even more stress. I left and ended up relapsing on herion.
Best decision that I ever made was coming here for help
