Argus Community Inc – New York Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Argus Community Inc – New York providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

How Much Does Treatment at Argus Community Inc – New York Cost?

Private-pay rehab in New York typically costs $3,500 to $12,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,500 to $6,000 a month for standard outpatient care. Those are state-level figures, because RehabSeekers did not find published prices for Argus Community Inc – New York at the time of writing.

Most programs build the intake assessment, group therapy and individual counseling into the price, and Argus Community Inc probably does the same. Terrible place! My loved one was sent to this place. They suffered from mental health illness and drug addiction. This facility refused to get his medication in a timely manner and allowed drugs to enter the facility.… No sober living. A trap house with incompetent employees.

This program does not seem to prioritize the well-being of its residents. Its stated goal is to help people with substance use and mental health challenges successfully transition back into society, but that was not our… experience. While my relative did fairly well during the program very little was done to prepare him for life after completion. The program had different phases, and each phase was supposed to help residents build the skills and resources needed for independence. Instead, it felt like he was simply pushed through the process, even though he was not truly prepared. My biggest concern was housing. We were told it was "too late" to help with that, which makes no sense when stable housing is such an important part of a successful transition. Without proper planning and support, people are at a much higher risk of ending up in the same situation—or an even worse one—than when they entered the program. If you or a loved one is involved with this organization, I strongly encourage you to advocate for yourself or them every step of the way. Ask questions, follow up, and make sure discharge planning and housing are addressed well before the program ends.

I met two representatives from Argus Community Inc. at the LaGuardia career fair on May 20th, and both (a woman and a man) were quite rude toward some people who approached their table. If you don’t enjoy talking to… people, you shouldn’t have represented your organization at the career fair.

I was transferred to this community service a little over a2 years now . During the intake I was asked to make goals for my son who has Autism. I specifically told them my biggest issue is the education and lack of… services he needs . I have had multiple changes of workers and none have been a least helpful. Last week I ask worker to schedule appointment to meet with the social worker from the school to discuss my concerns. The appointment was scheduled for today but yesterday when I called her she said she couldn’t make it . I asked her to close my case and received a called from her supervisor stating they only work with medical issues and not education. I found that hard to believe because education was the issue I enrolled in their program to begin with . They are unreliable and very unprofessional. I give it one star because there’s no 👎 other .

Rude and unprofessional staff who DON'T return calls or respond to emails until you request to have your case closed then everyone calls including the vp of care coordinator. What a joke !!!

Disgusted, on so many levels. I feel that this place IS very unprofessional, and they don't care about the residents. This is NOT the ideal place for recovery, as a majority of the participants do not complete the… program, or end up dead, or reincarcerated. I feel that there's no support for the families, and that we need support as much as they do. We are not allowed to reach out to staff. It makes me question how efficient this program actually is.

I couldn’t agree anymore with all the negative reviews that are posted! I have a loved one in the program and I am totally disgusted with the lack of communication & support for not only me but also my loved one that is… in there. It’s sad that my loved one & so many others are treated like numbers instead of human beings with real problems & addictions.

I never leave reviews, but here we are. If I could give -0 stars I would. As a recovering addict who is trying to work on themself everyday, it’s disappointing to see people who only choose a job clearly for… compensation. Exhibit A, Laura the manager I’m assuming when I got off the phone with her and met previously a month ago, was so dismissive of my emotions and feelings. The fact that my insurance is covering this is horrible. The place needs to be turned upside down, honestly get rid of your staff specifically your management team. Laura shouldn’t be in charge of taking calls or even near humans in vulnerable places. Definitely will report to DOH & NYCONECTS!!! This is a disgrace

The Bronx has better communication. Harlem can't open their mouth to answer questions for clients and there a HIPAA ...on file. But they can be detailed to be crass. Bronx it is.
