How Much Does Treatment at Behavioral Health Services – Long Beach Cost?

Cash payment for rehab in California is usually $3,000 to $10,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,200 to $5,000 a month for standard outpatient care. Do not go to this place please. I took my sibling who wanted to get admitted and was in need of urgent assistance. He was seen by three professionals and was released with a written prescription and told to schedule… therapy with Kaiser. He took his life the next day. I don’t feel he was given the proper assistance with all the information they were provided with and seeing that he was obviously not okay.

I’ve been here a few times to get a prescription refill. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. The average wait is about 4-6 hours so expect to be here a while, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.

Not inpatient, but the process was straightforward when I needed emergency medication refills. Staff were kind and understanding even though I was nervous.

One time I was homeless near Manhattan beach and the cops arrested me but they took me to bhucc instead of jail! They gave me a shower, washed my clothes and fed me a bunch of food! They also put movies on all night… long. After a few hours they let me go. It's a pretty cool place. Thanks.

This is an extremely unprofessional and unsafe facility for individuals with behavioral or mental health needs. What should be a secure and supportive environment is instead chaotic, disorganized, and poorly supervised.… During my family member’s stay, they were sexually assaulted, and staff failed to provide adequate protection or oversight. At the same time, another patient had access to a metal staple remover, which could easily have been used to harm others. When I raised concerns, staff repeatedly dismissed them by saying they were “just starting their shift,” rather than taking responsibility or addressing safety issues. No family should have to worry about their loved one’s safety in a place meant for care and protection. This facility failed to meet even basic standards.

Very caring people. They take a while to get thru the process but each step is comprehensive and you feel like the people here actually care about your mental health, especially in crisis.

i find it quite concerning that this is the where the police take you after you attempt. the nurses kept misgendering me (minus one nurse whose name i cant remember but she was REALLY kind), i had to sleep in a chair… (not a bed, a CHAIR), and i was losing my sense of time due to a lack of windows. the staff members were also really rude to my parents when they came in to check on me.

I went today when they first opened up. I was told there was a wait because they were short a provider and had 6 urgent patients before us. I appreciated the information. We decided to stay. We were here for a refill… due to our provider office messing up our appointment. The front office girl was great. The gentleman that was our case worker gave us a lot of resources. We were told it may take 4 hours. The nurse in triage was super nice and friendly. We were actually able to see a provider via teleconference. The provider was very helpful and professional. Place was clean. The security guard was super helpful. I would highly recommend this location.

Some staff members here are not accepting of transgendered 👎🚫🏳️‍⚧️ especially the gaiey male receptionist who works at the front desk and the emotionally uncontrolled and unfriendly less bee ann women who sides with… him. Incredibly opposing, transphobic and unsupporting individuals who should be fired and never be working in a mental health facility ever again. They shouldn't be working in a job like that at all in the first place. Do not come here if you suffer from gender dysphoria, chances are they'll do their very best to discourage you from transitioning or at the very least seeking a diagnosis so they can discharge you from the facility immediately because they don't want to help people like me.

I just want to say that I am very concerned at all the one stars comments being reported and the facility has not made an attempt to respond back. That has me believe that the problem is the staff. As for me I was had… an emergency and was looking for a place to take my child but reading the rates literally scared me away I hope I can find a place that does have compassion and loves what they do to receive patients coming in need of mental health services

Horrible experience! They wasted my time when they failed to mention they don't prescribe controlled substances. They'll give you anti-psychotic medication and pump so many of those medications in you that you look as… if you're about to die, but they won't give you what really need. Anti-psychotic medication hits you harder than anti-anxiety medication and messes you up real bad, yet they lack the fortitude to actually help people in dire need of help. Their referal services are also outdated. Most places they refer you to don't exist or their policies have changed. That's very lazy on their part. I went in there seeking help and came out with homework to look for help when I called them out for their lack of knowledge of the facilities they were referring me to. They enforce wearing face masks, they just don't follow them. If you can go to a hospital or anywhere they have grapefruits to give what you need, I recommend you go there instead. A complete waste of my time, if they had been honest with me the first time I spoke to them, all this could have been avoided. I'll never go here again.

Condescending and rude. Hours of operation are false and procedures to question individuals seeking help outside via an intercom and have them wait is very demeaning. It’s a joke.

★☆☆☆☆
Lara Mitchel3 years ago

Why am I standing outside literally for five to ten minutes in the heat. I’ve used the intercom as it stated on the door and no one came to the door. Called the intercom second time and you hear laughing, giggling and… unprofessional remarks. I see inside there is a line and receptionist sitting at the front desk. A staff member came out the door going to her car and happen to open the door. If the staff member hadn’t been leaving. I guarantee I still would be standing there. When you don’t take your job serious enough to actually care about the patient. Please find another occupation!!!

These people treated me horribly. I was kept in the lobby instead of being transferred to an actual facility for 3 days, while everyone else around me was leaving. The nurses were rude and unhelpful for the most part.… The doctor I saw misdiagnosed me and gave me the wrong medication. I will never go back to inpatient care because of those 3 days.

What an incredibly rude staff you have there. I would not recommend anyone to come here. You should probably study your hiring habits before performing services on anyone else.

Front office open 8am to 8pm. Usually take last patient at 6 pm. If it's after hours, call. They always listen and help.

I came here seeking mental health resources and support and the staff were extremely welcoming and supportive. Everyone I met with was so kind and patient. They genuinely seemed invested in me and making sure that I got… my needs met. I'm so happy I made the decision to come here, especially after every other place made me feel ostracized.
