The hospital is very nice and all of the doctors and nurses have been wonderful. They also have showers in the bathroom!

Mdr ordered a x ray and a mri for my cervicle spine on the 10th of June. I waited a couple of days before I called to see if they got the referral. I wanted to stay on top of it to make sure my Dr would have it in time… foe my 7.1 appt. They told me they had an xray order, but sent msg to my neuro surgeon, for clarity. I waited again. Then walked in as they are close to my home. They said they sent a second msg to my surgeon. With no response. So I said I would call them. It turns out They told me that they only had a referral for an x ray. I said I just spoke with my surgeons office the day before and they said it was for an MRI. I was finding the phone number for my surgeon when Carson Valley called me back. Low and behold they found the MRI order, said that there was not a doctor's signature on it. I called my surgeons office, by the way, that office is very proficient. They said they signed it on 6.6. I said just send it somewhere else. Seems like carson Valley just pushes papers around.

Doctor told me to come in before 7am so I can be first MRI in line, I was there at 6:30 and waiting 5+ hours just to be handed a piece of paper and then waited another hour on top of that. This place is a joke and I… thought Barton was terrible.

I had a very positive experience while having a procedure done at Carson Valley Medical Center. My Cardiologist, Dr. DeSchutter, is excellent, the nurses and specialists were warm and friendly as well as very competent.… I want to praise their security and administrative personnel as we lost something while there. They went above and beyond to search the parking lots, their cameras, and even the trash to locate the missing item. Thankfully, they were able to locate and return the item. I couldn’t be happier with the cleanliness of the facility, the wonderful treatment, and the excellent care I was given. I highly recommend the Carson Valley Medical Center.

Update due to recent doxxing me This has to do with requesting a copy of a diagnostic blood test that had been denied for a 3rd time by insurance. Before I could finish my question I was interrupted while speaking then,… in the loudest voice for everyone in the waiting room to hear, started berating me about Her limitations at not being a Dr. Then, the person next to her chimed in about the denied code, you're not getting the test blah blah blah yada yada barf. When I finally was able to speak I said, I just wanted a copy of the denied codes so we can get the correct codes. Person #2 threw the copy across the counter at me, said disparing comment and I replied likewise, my bad in this bizarre situation. How many codes can there be for the ca 125 blood test that measures One thing? Many. All wrong. Which does not negate the demeaning of me in a public hospital setting. * $50000000.00 remodel and STILL the most RUDE INCONSIDERATE BADMOUTHING STAFF TOWARDS PATIENTS ASKING INNOCENT QUESTIONS. I realized the current regime doesn't believe in empathy but this is a hospital and you should have empathy towards your sick patients. Avoid the lab at all costs.

Very good experience from admitting staff to the nurses: Jennifer O, Carli (surgical nurse) and Stefanie, to Dr P and Dr R. Very kind and caring staff. Thank you!

So I came here with my wife and I and they took x-rays of her chest everything looked okay they said but they worked on my wife which was good and they're fixing her right up but they didn't give a crap about me being… there so I guess that wasn't that sick they totally just disregarded my illness they need real doctors in this place

I was referred to Carson Valley Health Rehab for physical therapy for my back. I called six different times trying to schedule an appointment and was never able to get through or receive a call back. It became clear… they are either extremely overbooked or not able to take on new patients. I ultimately went elsewhere for care. It is disappointing, especially when you are in pain and simply trying to follow your doctor’s recommendations.

This hospital cares more about itself than it's patients. Personal.experiences over a 4 yr period. Until this changes, I would suggest finding a new hospital.

Their lab use to be so good before they moved it behind the building. I had to wait damn near almost an hour to get a fasting blood draw. The waiting room wasn't even full it was because they only had one phlebotomist… working that day!!

The new lab area has no privacy like the original area, everyone can hear ur conversation, inside the rooms are so loud like an echo chamber, i will not use this lab area any more, Very bad move for patients

Worst experience in the urgent care. The Dr on duty was very rude and unsympathetic! I went in there for an expose nerve in my tooth as he gave me a shot without even numbing it yet and had to justify way he couldn’t… give me anything for pain. So I ended up leaving in more pain as he continued to argue with me about pain medication!

I would have (and did) recommened Carson Valley Medical Center before their change. I found Carson Valley Health no longer a friendly place like it once was. Granted the people I interacted with in the imaging and labs… departments were cordial, but more stand offish. Who figured it a good idea to have the imaging and labs so for apart...and you can only access the labs by going outside to enter. I am a senior and that walk was not something I would want to do often. Also before the change we had privacy when registering. Good point is the results were given the same day.

Called ahead to make sure I could just stop in to pick up a test kit looked up my orders told me it was fine that they would see me in 30 got there waited 1:00 hour just to be told that they did not have the stuff to do… my test what a waste of time

Whatever you do...do not use their labs. My doctor referred me to them to run a blood panel. It was $772.00 just to have my blood drawn and run through a normal test. They over charge you by hundred and hundreds of… dollars. If you need basic panels please look elsewhere.

I highly recommend this place. I wanted to give a special shout out to Jenn RN from the surgery center. She took great care of my mom and made sure we understood all the discharge information before sending us on our… way. You could tell she loves her job and patients. Thank you Jenn and Carson Valley Health.

I was there in April for a problem with dizziness. I handed them all of my medicare cards including medicare rx. They said they di not need the tx card. PA said my problem was just allergies, then the md said it eas… because I had too much wax in my ears. My wife was like hell no, Was in the ears does not cause what I have been seeing in him. So they cleaned it out, and oh their was a hole in my eardrum. A month later I get a bill for the rx to clean my ears. I called a d said, I told you I had a rx card, they said they do not bill rx ???. This has happened before with them. I always thought that if a prkvider accepts medicare, they have to accept all of my medicare plans. Will avoid this hospital on principle, as it is a hassel. They did write it off however.

I went in for a mammogram today and had the best experience. Liz checked me in at radiology and she was very engaged with me as a PERSON, not a number. She was pleasant, efficient, attentive, made eye contact and was… smiling. Wow, that was great! Also my experience with the radiology technician/expert was fantastic as always. She is so efficient, caring and pleasant. Very good experience!
