Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does Prominence Health cover rehab?

Yes, Prominence Health plans cover substance use treatment. The Nevada large-group HMO coverage document names withdrawal treatment on an inpatient or outpatient basis, detoxification, inpatient or residential rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and day treatment programs, and individual or group counseling. What you pay depends on the plan and network tier.

Commercial plans are sold in Nevada only; Medicare Advantage HMO plans are sold in Nevada, Texas and Florida, where benefits follow Medicare rules.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does Prominence Health cover detox?

Yes, detoxification and withdrawal treatment are covered benefits on the Nevada commercial plans. Inpatient detox room and board requires prior authorization under the 2026 Nevada list, and on the 2026 HMO Freedom 9 Gold plan inpatient withdrawal costs the deductible then 20% in network.

Out-of-network detox on commercial plans is paid at the deductible plus 50%, and amounts above usual and customary rates fall to the member.

Detox Centershttps://rehabseekers.com/programs/detox-centers/
Does Prominence Health cover inpatient or residential rehab?

Yes, inpatient and residential rehabilitation is a covered benefit, and 2026 Nevada small-group schedules price inpatient withdrawal and rehabilitation at the deductible plus 10% to 20% in network. A 2018 large-group coverage document tied residential care to a history of multiple unsuccessful outpatient attempts.

Inpatient psychiatric and detox room and board need prior authorization in Nevada, so the admitting program should request authorization before you or a loved one arrives.

Prominence Health is a Reno, Nevada health plan owned by Universal Health Services that sells employer coverage in Nevada and Medicare Advantage HMO plans in Nevada, Texas and Florida. For anyone pricing addiction treatment, the ownership matters far less than which of those two lines the member card belongs to, because the networks, the cost sharing and the authorization rules differ between them.

The commercial side is Nevada only, written as HMO, PPO, POS and high-deductible products through the Prominence HealthFirst and Prominence UHN networks. The Medicare Advantage side is HMO with drug coverage in Northern Nevada, North and South Texas and Palm Beach County, Florida. No Prominence Medicaid managed care plan was found; the only Medicaid-linked product is Prominence Dual (HMO D-SNP), a Medicare plan for members who hold both programs.

This guide sets out which levels of addiction care the plan documents name, where prior authorization applies, what the 2026 Nevada employer schedules and Medicare Advantage plans charge, how addiction medication is handled on the formulary, and how to work out whether a program holds a contract with the network on the card.
