About Central Wyoming Counseling Center – Casper
Central Wyoming Counseling Center operates from 1430 Wilkins Circle in Casper. The site sits in Natrona County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Bar Nunn, Brookhurst and Casper Mountain. Wyoming draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Central Wyoming Counseling Center
Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Residential runs long-term, which suits people who have tried shorter stays without them holding. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

The place was great as long as Donna Nurss wasn't running the show. I noticed a night and day change with it. She likes to take the easy way with things, get rid of people easily, take the easy way out. She immediately… turned my mother away to WBI because it was the cheap easy call to make. She couldn't even tell me what medication they gave her. Professionals of that era were truly, a mistake.
When I came to CWCC, I was helped right away. I had multiple staff ask if I needed anything to drink and if I had been helped yet. The staff was on top of getting me scheduled immediately and I saw Donna the next day. I… was immediately set up with a follow up visit the next week as well as an appointment with Brandee for talk-therapy. The staff are busy, if you have a little patience and are understanding, it really can go a long way. Every person that I personally spoke to were professional, understanding, and on top of the care I asked for. I was not there for any type of addiction treatment, I was simply asking to continue my care there after moving to Wyoming from a different state. I understand how stressful it may be to have patience when you feel sick, or in a rush, however they are working fast behind the scenes and if you just take a breath, and have a seat, they really are an amazing staff.
So this place decided to wait 7 months to Bill me instead of telling me sooner, not to mention the fact that I have waited in their lobby multiple times at one point for over 2 hours for a person who was not with a… client like my money isn't worth time. Time I think they're too big for the services they provide. I recommend going somewhere smaller and more personal
I went through cwcc almost 2 years ago. And everybody I was involved with was great. This place changed my life for the good. I've been clean and sober ever since I left. But recovery is there if you really want it. if… you don't want it then you wont get it. Dana,Lesa,Morgan are the greatest. March 25th of this year(2026) I've been clean and sober for 2 years. And my life continues to get better every day. So CWCC is a great place if you want help but if you don't want it or don't try then no place will work. Cwcc will always have a place in my heart and soberity
Broke my confidentiality. Very unprofessional
How is someone supposed to get help when you tell them they're not a good fit. After two days and you kick them out the door
Cwcc has been awesome helping me get my life on track after 15 years of using drugs and a life of mental health struggles. I hope anyone who needs help goes here. They will do anything to help you!
Lindsay and Jenny are amazing I just love how personable and accepting they both are. I feel like you are both able to come to my level no matter where I'm at and sometimes just that can change someone's day. Thank you
Incredibly helpful really turns my life around worth every cent
Just went to CWCC and they turned me away for Services. How are people to get help when things are serious being turned away. I would never recommend these jerks to anyone ever.
All you can get is voice mail for every dept and no one calls you back
The front desk lady Jessica was extremely rude, rolling her eyes about everything that we said. This is no way to treat people. Not professional at all They are supposed to be the face of the whole place not impressed… with her at all.
Trying to get an asi completed from this place is a joke. Paid for and done close to a month ago and they won’t release it. Addiction is life and death, of all places they should know this!!
I actually had a very positive experience with CWCC every time I went. The front desk staff are nice enough, but both therapists I had seen there were amazing. They both listened to me and worked with me to create a… great plan for me. The nurse who prescribed and managed my medication was extremely nice and always listened to me and made sure I felt comfortable. Everyone I saw there, even the 2 ladies who did my intakes, were outstanding. I, personally, would highly recommend going there. The only reason why I can't continue there is because I moved out of state.
Continued to mess up scheduling my appointments, switched who I was seeing without any notice, overall just poor customer service and didn’t take how it would affect me into account
CWCC should be sued. If there is ever a class action lawsuit put out against these guys I would happily put my funds towards helping with that. Maybe we could start a petition to get CWCC closed down or maybe enough of… us can get together to take CWCC down so they stop doing so much damage to the Casper Community.
Saw that CWCC is trying to raise their rating on Google because it's been at 2 stars for the past 5 years at least. So let me say that this place is so dangerous to mentally ill people. They do not take anything you say… seriously, therapists don't view you as a person they view you as an adversary and there is a very high turnover rate so even if you do get a good therapist they won't stay for very long. There is a huge amount of malpractice present at CWCC and I've only witnessed a small portion of what I know must be a deeply rooted problem. After going to CWCC for over 6 years and tirelessly trying to get them to help me I came to the conclusion that I am simply never going to receive help from CWCC. CWCC exists to make you feel worse about yourself and drive you to a point where you're so self hating and confused you're afraid to even move. I had therapists tell me the world was a better place without me in it. I had therapists tell me they had it worse than me, and I had therapists use me as their therapist. I've never felt safe at CWCC and not a single person there ever took the time to earn my trust. To them, and I genuinely believe this, I was just a pest. Please, for your own safety do not be tricked by these people, they do not care about you and they will never change. Go literally anywhere else.
It’s blatantly obvious that the individuals who work here do not care about you nor do they enjoy their job. Places like this are why it’s so discouraging to seek help.
Exceptional organization, incredible staff, and such a beautiful place.
I went to a medical detox facility and my after care plan was to go to the crisis unit at central Wyoming counseling center..my therapist opposed the crisis..I were told beds were available but when I got there they… didn't have any...My therapist Kayla even accused me of seeking outdetox..what she don't realize I have the official discharge and after care paper work..they failed me in all directions
They cared more about the company policy than the client
Waited over a month for an appt and upon arrival found out it had been cancelled and never received a phone call. They found someone last minute who shouldn’t be a professional anything. After discussing my trauma &… triggers for last 19 months she said welcome to Wyoming. She couldn’t keep up with the timeline or progression of my situation and was very rude and invalidating. Garbage facility, go there at your own risk.
