My mother’s session with a therapist in training at this clinic was completely inappropriate. When she shared stress about current immigration enforcement, the therapist dismissed her concerns as “fake.” That is not… therapy, it’s personal opinion being imposed on a vulnerable client. Regardless of anyone’s political beliefs, a therapist’s role is to listen, validate emotional experience, and help regulate anxiety, not invalidate and debate a client’s fears. This response increased her distress and undermined trust in the therapeutic process. If trainees are seeing clients, they should be adequately supervised and trained to understand that minimizing a client’s concerns is unacceptable and potentially harmful.

Great place they made me paint for a whole month during my psychotic episode and sold all the art for profit but I feel much better however they didn't have any medications like the jail

Case work here didn’t make sense. Was referred in order to get support through finding different recourses and getting established with the services. I have to spend multiple months advocating that I needed help with… this. Was told more of what they don’t do than actually clarifying what there was to help me with. The case worker decided to be an ahrms worker and they decided to say the services were ended because I progressed and no longer in need. I was told this was just a stipulation. I guess this is a great place to work with if you just want to go through the motions.
