My experiences with the CCCwhere do I begin? I want to say that years ago they were the go to place for people needing help, now days their goal appears to have drastically changed. They only "care" on paper in my… opinion. There were people at the ccc who seemed to really wish they could make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than themselves, that has changed, and not for the better. Now when you seek help you are left to your own devices for the most part. The days of people like Wayne Pettis are gone replaced with who knows who. It is a shame that help for the most part comes from your ability to pay for it, and that is wrong. I understand but don't necessarily agree with how the CCC runs their operations. I personally have been out of work and for all intent and purposes homeless for going on 2 years, through not fault of my own, and less of course you wish to blame me for illnesses, and a life changing accident that has lead me to where I now find myself. I am now 71yrs old. Able to work still with a few minor adjustments but it is not easy to find a job that will pay a living wage for an over the hill senior. I go hungry a lot so that my pets and significant other can eat. I am sitting in a house with no electricity, no running water and no heat, and with only my social security and a very part time job to see me through, and believe me that isn't living, it's exhausting! If it wasn't for the few friends I do have I'd be s....Ed! Would someone please offer me a viable alternative suggestion? Other than to stop crying and grow up? I know from experience that life isn't always easy, but I've paid my dues and made my mistakes, now I need real help.
Awesome programs that help a lot of people out, and good staff who care
The psychiatrist I seen for a a few months didn’t do much for me. Everyone’s different. I just felt like she didn’t really hear me out. I’d say most of the people that work there are nice for the most part, but I… wouldn’t say they are professional. A few times I’d have to call bc they forgot to send my script to the pharmacy
For a place that supposed to help people with mental illness they are actively ignoring patients that are trying to get help. And the crisis team lady named Bertha is a joke
My mother has been going here for a while now. They keep on messing up her medication. Now she's like a fruitcake. Ig if you want to be turned into a medicated zombie go here. If not go anywhere else but here.
Extremely unprofessional. The doctor my husband was seeing moved to another practice and he needed more refills so he goes in to see a new doctor instead. After the appointment he is told he has to wait 3 weeks for… another appointment to refill his medicine which you can't just stop taking antidepressants like that without causing damage. The first time he went there a doctor was trying to tell him he needed to find God and was trying to give him her churches pamphlets. This place is ridiculous.
Proof of all of this is on recording with the HR director for Cape Community Counseling. Please contact me for the recording. This facility allows unauthorized employees access to any records they want. They Will allow… HIPAA violations to happen with out recourse. And do not care about the well being of their clients in the slightest. I have on recording them admitting to allowing a state lisence social worker employee to go through all of my records and her ex husbands files and and follow up by saying this is against company policy on their end. As well as allow scheduled dates to get switched without authorization. And refuse to do anything about it outside of a you better contact a lawyer comment. This employee was terminated from the facility for this reasoning. And I was never contacted by the facility to be notified of what happened or the extent of my files being gone through. To allow the livelihood of people to be at risk with such discredit is astonishing. Especially from a 501c style facility. Please feel free to contact me for the recording of the HR rep stating full responsibility and following up stating that even though it’s their fault, they will not do anything about the safety of their clients records. Nor do they want this to reach the public’s eyes.
DO NOT USE CCC IF YOU VALUE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH. I always contact them with multiple days for refills before I run out. It usually ends in me AND my pharmacy having to call multiple times and I go a couple days without… my meds before my doctor finally puts in for refills. This has happened most of the times I've run out of refills. EDIT I've dropped the rating to 1 star. I still haven't received refills for my medication. It's been at least 48 hours (2 week days, 2 weekend days) since I've requested refills. I can't get ahold of anyone helpful. I'm getting the runaround. This is the 3RD TIME IN 5 MONTHS this had happened. DO NOT USE CCC FOR ANYTHING IF YOU VALUE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.
I enjoy working with my Psychiatrist and Therapist. They are warm and welcoming. I did not feel judge or uncomfortable speaking to them. My only complaint was having to wait a year to start seeing the Therapist, however… I was able to start seeing my Psychiatrist right away. Also I use the pharmacy at the CCC, Genoa. The keep track of my prescriptions and will refill them when needed and let me know they are ready to pick up. I never have to work about running out if I forget to get the refill.
Medical gaslighting and medical abuse, they rely on inability to find treatment from nearby doctors that will not prescribe based on symptoms or patients needs. Telehealth, with the ability to prescribe until you can… move could mean survival. This clique of small town providers puts patients at risk and are not concerned with patient well being. Their ethical dilemma will harm some more than others
I'm extremely disappointed in there services ive been with them for 6 months an they told me they had my referral in for casemanagement And therapy now there telling me they can't find my referral or the stuff I signed… to get casemanagement if ur not gonna help me I'll gladly go elsewhere
Very helpful place but the cluster program is not very helpful staff at liberty cluster program is rude and disrespectful and the whole place went down hill since 2016
If you want your medication to be called in on time go elsewhere. I have been seeing a doctor at Community Counseling for over six months, and after each appointment I get the runaround when I go to get my medication.… You would think they would be more time sensitive considering they are dealing with psychiatric patients who need these meds in order to to about their everyday life. Almost every time I have called Community Counseling to get things figured out I have been spoken to like I am an idiot.
After the last 5 years I found Dr. Courtney Johnson to be excellent! However CCC is another bureaucratic fishbowl and is NOT a place to get "real help" other than psych meds. At CCC the front office treats you like a… 2nd rate human with their policies & condescending tone. Finally had enough of that BS. I now use an simple online Dr to provide my meds. I hope Courtney goes into private practice someday. I'd be a customer.
Bottom line for them is money.....no insurance, no money, you get no help....
These ppl are rude and most definitely cold hearted ! I have witness people being mistreated and turned away !
If I could give a zero I would! I went in and decided it was time to seek help for the first time ever on my own. Went through 2 appointments which was the start of intake and the end of it. After everything I was told… they were booked and there was a waiting list. Then informed that my family makes to much for the sliding scale which I can’t afford full price due to some stuff going on. Why would you guys put people under all that just to mess with their mental health that they’re already struggling with?
I didn't go there at all I don't know why it's asking me for this stuff when I didn't go
I really miss my therapist! She was always get attentive and made me feel heard
The people who work here are very rude and treat every client like an inconvenience and a burden. If you deal with suicidal thoughts or ideations do NOT come here, they'll make it worse. I almost killed myself today… because of the way I was talked to by 4 different people all today. I hate this place and I hate that I need my psych doctor from here. If I could find any other place that I could see a psych doctor I would.
They allowed me to waste my time by asking for my insurance and background and information. Then had me go through an assessment only to tell me they’re not taking on any new clients. I left with nothing but a piece of… paper in my hand of places to chose from that I could have gotten from google. TIME. WASTED. If you you weren’t taking on any new clients, why would you take my information and give me an assessment? Do not go here.
Total nightmare. The aces program traumatizes kids, they have one therapist that sees kids in schools and the psychiatrists don’t care. Generally them being here impedes the area getting actual services that could help… someone
Everyone on the phone is nice enough but you need to service more counties!! The mental health services in this area is non existent.
Everyone that I have met has been so amazing... I have to be able to trust the people I see and I do very much.. They are helping me a lot..
I love Dr. Johnson. Everyone that works there is very professional.
Pretty unprofessional
