Devine Interventions LLC – College Park

I’ve been with Devine intervention for two years and I’m upset with current situations. For starters I had a great case worker but was changed to another person over two months ago and they have yet to reach out to me.… Also in two years I’ve never had a problem getting paperwork filled out but a few weeks ago I urgently needed something filled out and was notified now I would be charged for said paperwork and this was without any notice of a policy change which is so unprofessional to do to clients. Then I’ve been waiting for a release of information to be sent to me going on two weeks and still haven’t received it. It’s just so disheartening to constantly feel like my needs as a client are not being met. The only bright spots are the services I receive from Dr. E and Ms.casey.

I would like to take a couple minutes and truly let people know about how much of a wonderful and life saving program divine intervention is. I was born and raised in Baltimore city. 48 years of my life. Well one day I… had woken up and realized my life was absolutely horrible. I was ready to end it. The programs in Baltimore is absolutely horrible. So I checked in to a mental health hospital. After 10 days they sent me to a program called Avery rd in Rockville. That's montgomery county.. Then from their i went to divine intervention. At first they didnt want to accept me cause I have an amputated right leg. But after all the calls and begging I did to mrs Marshall she finally said yes. I have been here almost 7 months. I celebrated my 1 year clean on February 26th. Mrs amber who I love so very much I've me my one year chip. It brought tears to my eyes. I have never felt like I was apart of like I do here. I have gotten close toÀ staff and clients like they were my family. I told Mr. Ray from the very first day I was here that the only way iam leaving here is if u call the police on me. Mr Ray Dorsey thank u so very much . U will never know what u have done for a man from Baltimore. This program saved my life. Iam not blowing ósmoke up no one's ass. My experience at Devine Interventions taught me that I never have to be alone anymore. And struggle with addiction. I learned how to identify my triggers and deal with them by reaching out for help by calling people in… my network, including my family, find out what hobbies that I'm instated in and learning to live life on life.Turns without any mood changing or mind altering substances. I like to give a special thanks to the Devine Interventions staff's as a whole. Add a very special shot out to Mr Ray ( director/ owner ) who believed in me day one when I walked in Devine Interventions. I would recommend highly Devine Interventions to anyone struggling with addiction. Because if there's a program that can stop and save my life , it would do the same for anyone!!! DEVINE INTERVENTION truly saved my life. From the moment I arrived, the counselors and staff were professional, understanding, and readily accessible, ensuring I felt safe during detox. The personalized therapy sessions… were life-changing especially with Ms Marshall, and the support staff treated me with dignity. The environment was compassionate and conducive to recovery. I am now sober and thankful for this facility. Big Thanks to Mr Dorsey, for building a secure and safe environment for all the addicts out there that needs help.

Leaving a review only because the receptionist was super helpful. This location was not able to provide services for my son because of his age however the rep I believe is her name is Latosha called me back to inform me… she provided a list of places I could go to instead which I thought was great customer service! Thanks Latosha!

This place has caused my mother and her mental health so much stress. Watching my mom’s mental health decline even further while getting care has been very difficult. This place doesn’t seem to care about their patients… at all. They have gas lighted her and her well being causing more harm than good. I’ve seen her reaching out for help to just be ignored and her feelings being disregarded by Devine interventions. This is a terrible place that’s supposed to help with mental health issues not add to them by constantly making client feel dismissed.definitely looking into legal actions and seeing what can be done to stop this from happening to other clients

Let me start off by saying that the only reason I am giving 2 stars and not one is because I appreciate Ms.E and Ms.smith both have helped me and advocated for me when needed and I trust them. Now the reasoning behind… such a low star review is because honestly speaking this place is dysfunctional to say the least. They do not care about their clients mental health at all and have added to more problems than helping solve them. I called to speak to someone about an issue and when they hear it’s me they were laughing in the background. They don’t care about your feelings or overall well being. To be a place people turn to for mental health services and where people trust you to help them isn’t what you receive they deflect blame on you. Imagine you are screaming for help and the one place that should be a safe haven causes you more mental health problems than solving them. The only reason I haven’t found another place is because of Ms.E. They lack compassion for you,your family and daily struggles. At this point I need a therapist for the mental anguish this place has caused me on top of the issues I already face daily.if you are looking for help,compassionate people and good communication sadly you will not find it here which is why they have a revolving doors of therapist that come and go because I can imagine if they treat their clients this bad I’m sure they aren’t treating the employees any better.

I wish I could give it negative stars!! For a place that’s supposed to be providing help/ care they haven’t done that yet! I’ve been with them for almost a year and I’ve had four different therapist. My only in person… meeting was unprofessional. One of the therapist spent 20 of my40 talking about her person problems. And that was after she shaved her head bald the day before. (She clearly was going through it) The last person never listened or helped or followed through with any conversation. And all 4 had at least 10 years of experience and yet no one professional enough to say for at least or do their jobs. And that’s just the therapist. The front desk people are way worse!! Never one professional person. I was promised a phone call for a new therapist three weeks ago and still nothing

Devine Interventions is an amazing place that has saved my life.

I was a client at Devine Interventions, they helped me with my addiction to alcohol, and other substances, in my time with the program I was able to identify why I did the things that I did and how I could suppress my… urge to use, and eventually proceeded to get my life on track, the staff was friendly and supportive and my fellow clients became a second family to me, I have recommended DI to others and they received the same level of care as I did. If you are interested in helping yourself with substance abuse treatment, or mental health issues, I believe this is the place for you

I came to the program with nothing but with the help of Mr Dorsey gave us the tools and space we needed for me to get my life back together and be able provide for my family.
