Discovery Point Retreat – Ennis

Absolutely a great facility to get sober at and to move forward with your sobriety with their continuous programs and housing

This place in Ennis brought me to my knees, in the worst of ways! I got there last Thursday at 8. I needed to see a Dr to detox, never happened. I got a bed at 12:30 !A.M. I was begging t o leave or call an Uber! I have… worked in the treatment field and bren in treatment. I am 63 yrs old, which i don't think I'm old, but they told me they'd drop me off at a country rd with luggage in the 107 degree temperature. I finally threaten them with the people I know and they let me use my phone to get an Uber. P. S. With all the meds I took with me, they sent back some of my meds but conveniently kept the ones they could get high on. When I left, I felt like I escaped Alcatraz

Truly a blessing. I can honestly say, DPR saved my life.

Good place

This was my second time coming to DPR. It’s a great place to get a fresh start. Doc and Donita are the best!! They’ll make sure you get all your needs taken care of! Jason, Miss Tammy, Tajahnae, Tiara, both Amanda’s,… and Seth were awesome recover coaches. Each one having different backgrounds but all can relate to the clients in some form or fashion. The nurses and providers were super sweet and made sure I got all the right medications before I left to the next part of my journey. My therapist was Andy and he helped me a lot with dealing with my past trauma from my childhood . Mrs. V is an awesome therapist as well that will give it to you straight and not care about hurting your feelings in the process!! And I believe we need that sometimes!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I’m never coming back because I believe I’ve gotten all the help I could get and im just so grateful to everyone that helped me with the process ♥️♥️. Thank you DPR!!

I personally had a great time at discovery point. If you prefer smaller groups, i would not recommend it, but the large group setting was perfect for me. the RCs seem overworked, but overall i enjoyed my stay. in my… experience if you work the program, the program will work for you.

I was very satisfied with the level of care and respect that was shown to me throughout my experience with DPR. Shanitta is an amazing case manager she’s very helpful with everything, very dedicated worker!!! My… counselor Mrs. V was very professional and helped me throughout my stay. MR. Doc I’ve relearned respect towards others and also discipline!! Thank you all for believing in me I will always love yall and TRUST THE PROCESS !!!!!!!

My time at DPR was one of the best experiences in my life. I was sceptical at first, but after some time and focus I realized I was exactly where I need to be. The staff and clients brought me to life with real stories,… experiences, and tools I need to battle this addiction. If you focus on the positive reinforcement and truly listen to the wise words of some people then you can make the changes necessary to fight this battle. We did tons of fun activities, listened to some touching African fables and celebrity stories of addiction and recovery taught by Seth, I had an amazing down to Earth councilor, and made some real positive changes in my life. I would highly recommend DPR to anyone that needs and WANTS it. Remember, Addiction is the opposite of connection, and if you baby an addict you bury an addict

I had the best time at this retreat. They staff and therapists really are very professional and it was like a rehab summer camp! I totally recommend this place!!

My experience at Discovery Point Retreat was truly life-changing. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and treated with compassion. The staff genuinely care about each person’s recovery and go above… and beyond to make sure everyone has the tools they need to succeed. The counselors were knowledgeable, understanding, and created a safe environment where I could be honest and focus on healing. A special shout out to the staff as they are all wonderful. My therapist Ze, as well as Verdena, Shameka, Demeka, Andy. Shanetta, Tajanay, Terra, Amanda Richardson, Ms. Tammy, and Jason, and can’t forget the lovely Danetta and Doc. You will love them all!! Thank you again I will miss you all!

Overall it was an experience. I didn’t come here for a lavish vacation, I came to get sober and work on myself. As with life, there were good times and bad times, but they were all done while sober and I showed up… almost everyday. Everyone knows the elephant in the room. I got what I needed out of it. Shout out to the CHAMP (Doc), the Amanda’s, Leequan, Jason, the D’s, the C’s, Seth, Momma Tammy, Margarita, & Isobel! Godspeed

Everyone was very helpful Ms.Shamieka was great so was Doc,Ms.Shanita,Tammy,both Amanda's, Tierra,Tojanae i will miss Everyone the staff was great the clients not so much but overall great experience

Didn't get much 1 on 1 time with therapist. Only had 2 phone calls my whole stay
