they mistreat the patients there and I visited someone there and they were skipping their meals telling them there’s no more food they need to fire and get new staff hire people who care for sick people. These people… are just there for a paycheck and they need to get fired and arrest arrested.
My 37 year daughter was in a severe mental health crisis . The security guard gets involved like a doctor . My daughter had to tell him yes she wanted to go in which is weird . I told the front desk she going to leave… not to wait too long to take her through the door . We had two people talk to us during an hour asking about medication why she their saying they going to pick her brain all the way back to a child my daughter became restless was hungary .I told the front desk she going to walk out hurry . I felt they didnt want to deal with it just left us sitting . Yepp she bolted out the door that was it . Why is a security guard involved in patient interaction admitting a patient .Very unprofessional .
I was there 10 days and ended up becoming deathly ill with c. diff immediately after being discharged. Only hydration is.3 juice.boxes.per.day given at meals. Half the staff literally ignored me as if didnt even exist… when i asked for things like water, shoewer supplies, etc... Someone should sue this place. FYI people usually get C Diff from hospitals that aren't properly cleaned. I will give you my lawyers contact information.
Was cornered in the bathroom by two nurses and forced to show them my genitals to confirm I am transgender. Months later and its still bothers me- deeply unprofessional and traumatizing. Are all patients forced to show… their privates or just those who are LGBT?
I WAS ADMITTED TO DOTORS BEHAVIOR CENTER FOUR TIMES,I DID GET BETTER AFTER THEY GAVE ME MEDS.
They truly do all they can and more. Especially the Social workers
A girl kissed me without consent here and the staff dont pay attention to the patients taking food from diabetics. I was a patient with manic bipolar disorder and was refused any of my medication. I am on mood… stabilizers and was refused any of it. I am disgusted. Are none of the staff even trained in psychology? You do NOT take a bipolar patient off their mood stabilizers without contacting THEIR psychiatrist. Disgusting.
They make sure you’re well fed but in terms of safety I’m not too sure about that. You get mixed in with a lot of crazies, it was hard for me to not sleep with one eye open. My best advice to you guys is to just behave… in the first building assigned to you, so you can eventually be transferred to a more tame/quieter building for your treatment. Floors are also sticky a lot, tables are often sticky. Not the cleanest environment. Beds are uncomfortable and small, and within MY EXPERIENCE some nurses are just there for a check, but there’s always that one bad apple so take that with a grain of salt…
Good food, admitted as female, would send me to the male wing as "punishment" for bad behavior. Missing uno cards
Detoxed my bipolar dad. REFUSED TO CALL HIS PSYCHIATRIST. Gave him a shot of Ativan then blamed him for it being in his system.
I had multiple encounters with psychiatrist Dr. Medi while receiving care at Doctors Behavioral Health Center. During each of those interactions, her conduct was consistently hostile, unprofessional, and demeaning — but… what happened during our very first meeting says it all. The moment I sat down — without saying a word — she looked visibly offended and said, “eww.” I was in a psychiatric emergency, completely vulnerable, and had not even spoken yet. That was her immediate reaction to me. Throughout my care, I was repeatedly met with verbal aggression, inappropriate comments, and emotional hostility. On another visit, she slammed a book down and screamed at me without provocation. Her behavior wasn’t clinical — it was cruel, punitive, and retraumatizing. I was never combative, threatening, or disruptive. I was in clear distress and needed help. Instead, I was made to feel subhuman by someone who is supposed to care for patients in crisis. Dr. Medi’s conduct reflects a gross lack of empathy and professionalism. Her actions fall far below the standard of care expected in any medical setting — particularly in psychiatric care. I will be filing formal complaints with the California Medical Board and other relevant oversight bodies. Her behavior, in my opinion, borders on psychiatric malpractice. If you or someone you love is in a mental health emergency, I urge caution. This provider is not equipped to treat vulnerable people with the respect or dignity they deserve.
There facility is awful took myself there because I needed help for suicidal thoughts and they locked me in a room with no windows or anything and there was a concrete bed and the help there is a joke. I waited 2 days… to see a doctor. They didn't even meet with me for two days.. I wanted out of there and they didn't let me even though it was my right to let myself out of there as I took myself there. They need to be shut down it's ridiculous and so unclean too there was dirt and dist everywhere.
This facility is ACTIVELY mistreating my partner who is currently hospitalized here and poisoning them as well. My partner had Stephen-Johnson reaction to Keppra 14 months ago due to an apparent allergy and they are… forcing them to take Keppra and delegitimizing the seizures being caused by the allergy. I was visiting them last night and the visitation was cut short because of vomiting cause by the medication allergen. This facility does not listen to actual diagnoses.
Do not come here if you are struggling with mental health. They will not help you at all! I have depression and anxiety and just threw me in with no care in the world. Please avoid this place
Marciela ybarra Torres nice place to relax. And think about your self for a change
This place is terrible the security guards will laugh at you for everything and the nurses are not very nice or helpful
this place is trash! they DO NOT help the mentally ill unless you are harming yourself or others . what a waist of time . they do not care about the sick whatsoever . this place is useless . DO NOT recommend !!!!!
I got treated horribly there staff did not care about my mental health even though I was there for that, very rude to me when I would ask questions and didn’t let me shower the hole 3 days I was there, tv also didn’t… work so 3 days felt like a life time this place is horrible and should be shut down how dare you guys call yourselves mental health behaviorist
Very rude answered from Andrea wanted to talk to my family member and she just asked me what unit I didn't have no answer since she was admitted to the facility just yesterday am sure she can see my contact name on file… since I have received a called from the social worker from this facility
What can I do? They have my wife and won't let her out. She has diabetes and she's tired of it. She says she's fine, but they won't let her out. What can I do? They haven't even let me see her.
They treat mental healthcare like a joke. Literally just got laughed at on the phone. Also In the past they gave me staff infection with a pneumonia shot. Brought up the pain constantly. Still hurt when i got out. Was… charged outrageous amount by my lousy insurance. Contacted them about it. Denied i ever said anything. They also force you to be unmedicated for almost 2 days which for me is pure agony. And they could care less the whole time i said anything
I recently called this place to get information on a patient. Marley who I spoke to was very rude and needs to learn phone etiquette. I asked to speak to a nurse and she said to call back in a hour and a half. I replied… thank you very much and she just hung up on me. I understand it might be stressful working there but it is also stressful for family members.
They do Not deserve a star, only left one to be able to leave a review. It's been years ago that I walked into this facility suicidal. I didn't ever get to speak to anyone! I left hopeless & distraught still. Thank God… above, he gave me the strength to not go thru with it!💜🙏 After reading these horrific reviews, I pray they get fully investigated!
This place only drug you up. There is no type of therapy at all. Unless you consider coloring as a form of therapy. I was there for 3 weeks and all 3 weeks one side of the center only had cold water. Some women only… took a shower once a week or every 2 weeks. If I could give this place a negative star I would.
Some of the staff were kind and seemed to be trying their best. Shout out to Nurse Thea and the clinician Alma. Specifically, they were both shining lights. That being said, I had a truly traumatic experience here. Do… not send your loved ones here. Do not volunteer to go into this facility until they fix the disorganized and, at times, negligent care. This place will change you, but not in the way you want. I wake up at night from nightmares from this place.
