I've done both well and poorly here. My therapist has been great and really works as an advocate for me. If my experience was just her this would be a five star review! But my doctor is not great. As soon as I mentioned… that I use cannabis once in a while to help with my symptoms suddenly that was the problem. Please explain to me the logic of how something I do to help *CAUSED IT*. Did the cannabis time travel? She's gotten better, but I feel like that was a major red flag about this place. Eventually I got her to understand though her answer still tends to be to up my dosage rather then try something new. Like my therapist if my experience was just my doctor we'd be at one star. Which is why I balanced it out to three stars.

I see Dr Meghadri as an outpatient. She's wonderful!

If you care about getting better this is not the place. They have made me feel like I'm on a rollercoaster basically ruin my chances of healing. I've been going their on and off since the 90's and it's 2024 and now they… took my therapist that actually cared about his patients and continued to make you choose another therapist or even psychiatrist with no reason. You can never get adjusted to who they give you because they can be taking away without notice. This leaves you to have to continue to restart the process getting to know this new person again and again. I'm emotional wreck dealing with not having the only good therapist left there. These people don't care about you or your mental health. I don't feel I can trust this profession and haven't found a replacement since I received a call saying I will no longer see my therapist. I will NEVER go back to this place. They never read your file before your appointment. I had to keep reminding them you gave me that medicine it made me sick or not feel right. Then next appointment try again. If you care about yourself or your family member go elsewhere. 🤕😷😭😭😭😭😭

I don’t even know where to start. About a year or two before the pandemic hit, I had to return to the center to take care of my mental health after hitting a very rough time in life. I started off with my first… therapist as an adult also being seen here as a child more then 20 years ago. We didn’t see much of each other for long she then went out on maternity leave so with that we didn’t have time to connect or build a relationship. I then was switched to another therapist which didn’t last long either she decided to leave the center. It was definitely a nice short experience with her. She then suggested that I join the partial care program “group” , the fall before the shutdown. So I did. I definitely needed it! Things went well for a couple months. I was able to meet all of the great staff that work to run the group doing different activities talking about different things and my favorite cooking different things in the kitchen “the magic fork”. And that’s where I had the Honor “the point of this review” to meet Migdalis Bueno! I then was assigned to her caseload for the duration of the pandemic. And boy did we chat! Sometimes for more then an hour a couple times a week wither it was on the phone or zoom. We spoke about everything under the sun from the saddest to the happiest and of course the funniest. She was there for me during the toughest time of my adulthood so far. Words or at least my words can’t describe her!.. Migdalis! You are the true definition of a therapist! You always took the time to listen, always showed you cared and it always showed! I could go on and on! But I’m sure I have a text limit on this review lol. But unfortunately Migdalis will be lightening her case, and taking on a different role at the center. Sadly with that I will be losing her as my therapist also. BUT! Thankfully again for the center and the countless others they will still have the privilege of working and meeting with such an amazing person! Again, I can go on and on but I guess I’ll just finish up here. But definitely won’t finish buy just simply saying migdalis! you were the best!❤️ and I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time🙏😃 and I wish you the best with your new journey 😢

I am not surprised by this low rating.. They treat clients by ignoring their pleas for help.. They will toss you aside as quick as possible like your nothing at all. They are the reason people don't believe mental… health works..

You can get lucky here with some wonderful people, but overall, it should be a last resort for help as most of the administration and staff do not care. I got lucky with a therapist here for 3 years. She was wonderful… and amazing in all ways, but moved to a different state and better things. After her departure, I was matched with another therapist who I struggled to build a relationship with as her caseload only permitted her to see me every 2 weeks. As someone with a severe illness who has had over a dozen inpatient hospitalizations, and who is currently in a volatile state of mind, this was really untenable and the Center was unable to match me with a therapist who could see me weekly. I'm left to fend for myself because the referrals I was given and some other places I sought out for myself all have prolonged waiting periods for initial appointments. To be treated as such after being a client for 3+ years is terrible. Also, the psychiatrists have been categorically bad. The one I've seen most recently is passable but couldn't even return my phone calls during a week of crisis. Luckily, I managed and she even said I did a "good job"-- yes, I did great but no thanks to you doc! Overall, I do not recommend this place for long term therapy or medication management if you have other options/private insurance. I only stayed 3 years because of the lucky fluke of being matched with a wonderful therapist.

the worst center i had consultatation with the psychiatrist Bei Huang i take medicina for anxiety every day the doctor forgot to send the prescription ..the pharmacy can't talk to the doctor l haven't had pill for… almost a month..call the center no one answer leave my name and my phone number they call .l talked to my therapist no body can solve my problem either they always have stupid excuses l'am going to hold them responsible for whatever happens to me ..they are irresponsible they don't care the patients should close thad center they are playing with the lives of the patients

Unsure if I am misunderstanding the signs, but are any therapist even operating here anymore? Almost surprised that the sign at the building still says no clients inside. I was supposed to have an intake last year right… as the pandemic hit and it was cancelled - fine, understandable - but they never reached out to reschedule or offer online sessions. All that was offered was a different therapist that didn’t accept my insurance and was much more expensive. The fact this place was so affordable for me in the past is what brought me to it, and it sucks that as I am experiencing anxiety and signs of depersonalization, I have to consider my budget first. Despite this, I have nothing but positives to say about my previous therapist, Cathy Demonavich, if she still works there. Hope she’s well, at least.

Absolutely horrible. I’m calling you out Courtney. Never met a therapist with such low energy. After like the first 5 sessions, literally stopped helping. Just listened. Canceled appointments multiple times. Never tried… to reschedule. Trying to get contact with anyone is difficult unless you show your mad. Literally had to call 2 times just to talk to Dr.Ana. Getting appointments is the hardest thing ever. Always a month in advance. Horrible, please don’t go here. I only came here because my college recommended it but turns out, they weren’t even qualified for their job. Please look around and avoid this place. It is absolutely not worth the hassle. Been going there 3 years, and I feel worse now than I ever did in my entire life. I switched to some closer. If you read this, please know I’m not kidding.

You get what you don't pay for...bring cash if you can...then, maybe you will get what you need

That Fernandez person is supposed to be a director, yet he never answers the phone or returns calls. Very unprofessional!

I would not even recommend this place if you were suicidal. Go to a doctor at a hospital and find help or recommendations, from your doctor. This place is awful. Very unpleasant and unprofessional.

These people have ruined my life the lives of my family and should be stopped whoever is funding them gives NJ a bad name. Dr Leonard Eng is corrupted and will throw you under the bus for his meals.
