Groups Recover Together – Houlton

I’ve been in groups for quite some time, it’s Helped me stay sober and deal with everyday problems. My counselor Jackie C has been the best counselor I’ve had during my time with groups. She cares deeply for her… clients, she looks out for us all, goes above and beyond. Answering whenever she can, helping us with recovery, resources, and life management. We laugh and have a good time, but she also makes sure to hold us accountable when needed. I couldn’t be happier to have Jackie as my counselor. I look forward to my time in group every week since I’ve had her as my counselor.

Groups has enabled me to focus on sobriety and my future! My councilor has been there every step of the way with phone calls, texts, a peer group each week.. Groups has helped me more than anything else!

I’ve been a member of the Houlton Groups since last June and I can honestly say they are a great bunch of people who work there . They are so dedicated and they really care like Jackie who facilitates our meetings on… Tuesdays went out of her way on her day off to make sure I got my prescription on time. She didn’t have to do that but she did. I’m so blessed to be part of the Houlton Groups. Truly a life saving organization.

Groups has been a great experience for me and the perfect schedule for my needs through out my recovery. Connecting with people who share similar experiences and seeing the same individuals every week is comforting for… someone also suffering from anxiety.

I have never before groups been so comfortable being open about my addiction. To be honest I look forward to my weekly meetings, I've been with the same group since I started almost 4 years ago. They are like family, we… look out for each other even though we are not all from the same town. I would strongly recommend Groups.❤️

I love groups they treat me like a human being not some disgusting addict like all the other programs I've been in..they are always there no matter what..they don't judge me for being an addict..if anyone is struggling… with addiction ease get in touch with groups recovery they are there to help you every step of the way without any judgement or discrimination...thank you groups for always having my back, Sincerely, SAMUEL JENCKS

I am 5 year's sober. I've been with Group's for around 6 months. Group's really cares about you and your sobriety. I'm so glad I switched from my old Dr. This program is completely different than any other program that… I know.

This place is amazing and a great help to any and all addicts. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly, and there is never any judgment. My weekly group used to intimidate me and I dreaded the video call for the first… few weeks but the counselors all made me feel just so comfortable and my anxiety was eased almost completely when we got Alison Barber. I felt an instant connection with her and knew that she was somebody I would always want and need to talk to and have as a counselor/friend My only request would be to keep her with the Wednesday 2:30 group as long as possible if not forever. :) My group members are all awesome people as well. I gain SO MUCH from being given the medication I need from an amazing , understanding, knowledgable woman. I love learning from her when she speaks about different subjects. (Martha Eastman). And combined with the weekly video group meetings it's exactly the recovery treatment I have needed for years . Thank you for everything and for existing.

This is the only place I've been to that actually uses therapists that have been where we are and I feel that is soooooo amazing because they truly care about us. It's a great crew and they actually text you back when… there's problems. ELISA and Tom are great and they care and are extremely educated, smart and very helpful.

Great support system! Fast to get in and get treatment!

I love groups of Houlton. They not only are invested in my sobriety, they care about my mental health and health issues. There's no one problem I can go to them with, that they won't see me through. They've become my… second family. They cry with me during my rough times and cheer me on during my good times. It is a group setting, but my counselor is always available if I need a one on one. Best place hands down.
