About HealthWorks – Cheyenne

HealthWorks operates from 506 West 17th Street in Cheyenne. The site sits in Laramie County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Fox Farm-College, Ranchettes and South Greeley. Wyoming draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at HealthWorks

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

HealthWorks Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 506 West 17th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82001, in Laramie County. The catchment reaches Fox Farm-College, Ranchettes and South Greeley. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Interpreting services including ASL are available on request. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip.

Would give it 5 stars if I could actually get ahold of someone to make an appointment. The front desk NEVER answers the phone and I've even had to drive up there in person just to get an appointment made.… Ridiculous!!!!!! 😡 Other than that, the nurses and staff are absolutely wonderful!

The leadership at this office is truly exceptional. Everyone is genuine, kind, passionate, and incredibly accommodating. James consistently goes above and beyond to make sure patients’ needs are fully met. Monica is… dedicated to ensuring patients get access to the support and resources they need. And the director of the clinical staff—whose name I unfortunately can’t remember—has an amazing ability to truly listen. She remembers the small details and checks in about them during your next visit, which makes you feel seen and cared for. The leadership here leads by example, and it shows in the way the entire team treats their patients.

Everyone is absolutely amazing here. I needed fast help and they did just that! Mattie Johnson is a absolutely amazing!!She helped me right away. I really can't say how much I appreciate them. Being a single mama I was… definitely stressed about the financial part and they are affordable and very fast. Thank you healthworks for getting me everything I need to get back on track. ♡

Vickie Richards at HealthWorks is awesome. She’s very caring, makes sure to listen to anything you have to say, yet very professional and knowledgable. And their new location is great. I highly recommend them.

Addition to this in 2026: I now see Mattie Johnson, and she always takes time to address my concerns and listen to my ideas about my care. My wife sees James Hartman, and he is helpful and attentive as well. The… pharmacy staff, especially Gilbert, are always very knowledgeable and friendly. Many thanks to the reception desk staff, too. Great job all of you! We're thankful to have found Health works. This place has helped me and my wife countless times in the several years we've been going here. The PAs, namely Patrick Fitzgerald and Michelle Dowling who have sadly both moved on; and the nurses, most recently Liberty, have been most kind and extremely helpful. We recommend HealthWorks to everyone. Thank you all.

A while back my mom went here for some dental work. It was something she really needed done. The procedure was going to be very painful and emotional for her. Everything was going fine and than my mom started to… experience pain and told the dentist that she was starting to feel everything. He immediately got frustrated with her, dismissed her and continued the procedure even though she was crying and shaking from pain. He told her that it was psychological. She started crying because it WAS extremely painful and asked if she could go to the bathroom in an attempt to get away from the pain for a second. She was immediately uncomfortable with his comment and almost stopped the procedure right then. While she was in the bathroom I asked him if that type of pain is normal and he told me it was in her head. I asked him if patients can process medication faster than others (obviously they can, I haven't even gone to medical school and I know that) and he told me "well ya but I don't think that's what's happening here". I told him that if she's in that amount of pain she probably CAN feel it. After she got back he finally gave her a bit more medication to manage the pain and she was fine after that. But the experience was so disrespectful and disappointing for her as this was something she was already nervous for and than denied her reality because it was an inconvenience for the dentist. I have experienced medical gas lighting a lot but this is THE most disgusting example I have ever witnessed. I personally feel like this person does not have the capability or the capacity to work in this field and should quit his job. After this the front desk lady was very short and acted as though us checking out was the worst thing that had ever happened to her. Overall the experience was one of the worst I've ever experienced and I wasn't even the one it actually happened to. I hope that dentist experiences this amount of dismissal by a medical professional at some point in his life. I wish him nothing but the worst.

Friendly staff and good place to go if you don't have insurance and need medical care. Sliding fee scale available to those who qualify. Tracy reviews financials. She is so kind, helpful and quickly addresses any issues… with paperwork. I can't say enough good things about her attitude and willingness to help!

Let me start by saying ALL of the staff here is wonderful. So friendly, patient, welcoming and accommodating. I saw Dr Campbell today and she is absolutely wonderful. I have never had a dr. cover so many issues in one… visit— I finally feel like I may finally be on the right track to getting my health back in order! I also qualified for the sliding fee scale and I am so grateful to find a place to receive care that I can afford without insurance. I am so thankful for Healthworks.

My son went into the clinic with a minor case of food poisoning. Diarrhea and vomiting for about 12 hours, then was fine. He needed a note for work saying he was OK to return because of the vomiting. He had no other… symptoms, the vomiting and Diarrhea had stopped at that point, but without doing any blood work and him having ZERO symptoms, they just decided he had avian flu. Went to ER and confirmed it was just a mild case of salmonella. What kind of cracker jack clinic y'all got there?
