This place was alittle on the therapist I had cat was awesome she was warm and friendly to talk to and worked with me with the adhd how ever the rest is bs I started with them in 2022 up until I was in jail and rejoined… them a few months ago this year when I did the first meeting and orientation I told them why I was put in jail and they still opened my case dispite my criminal charge but last week I called them to reschedule my appointment with the doctor that I had missed . And after waiting 3weeks for a call back that never happened dospite cat requesting them to call me back so when I called them I was told my account was flagged and can’t make any more appointments then was told that my case will be closing in August 14 when I asked why I had to speak to cat supervisor when I finally talked to her was told case is being closed due to criminal history and I can’t fight it . The doctor there is a joke never changed my med or did nothing this place sucks with the exception of cat . Cat I will miss working with you
This place is horrible! They are not here to help. They give you the run around just to not be accepted. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
I was a patient in my early years of high school. This place is just flat out AWFUL. My psychiatrist was just flat out unsympathetic with what I had to say or what my father had to say at appointments. It’s like she… wanted the progress to hurry up and constantly tried to keep me on a medication that I told her was not working AND giving me horrible dreams. As for the therapist I had. Absolutely unprofessional at times. She wanted to treat me more like a best friend than a patient. The therapist was always asking me how my best friend and I’s relationship was. She kept pressuring how we should be together. It was… very disturbing and it caused a lot of harm to my mental health. Funny! I’m supposed to be getting the help. Not gain more mental strain or trauma. Front staff is 50/50. You either got someone nice and patient or someone who was ready to take your head off. Either way. Stay FAR away from this place.
All I wanted to do was change the time of my grandsons appointment to earlier and they gave my appointment to someone else..then tried to give me an appointment for two weeks later...myself nor my autistic grandson need… the bull from this place...I took him back to the Dr he had come from
Horrible place for the most part. Prp was the only thing decent about the place besides reception and management I highly dont recommend going here. They discharged me after only 2 days after I missed an appointment.… One star is all they deserve at most.
A Reschedule is a (Missed appointment). I actually missed appointment and I had to reschedule because of my job two times they said you're kicked out of the program for 3 months. where they do Dat at ?? Nonsense
The intake specialist seemed to experience, compassion, burnout, and compassion fatigue. She also refuse to get us to her supervisor when trying to enroll a 10-year-old and a seven-year-old 10 out of 10 do not suggest… to a friend.
⸻ The office staff appeared overworked, but they remained pleasant and helpful throughout my interactions. However, my experience conducting intake appointments for two of my children was deeply frustrating and… emotionally draining. After waiting several weeks for the appointments, I was told by Carla (from Intake) that I had to be present for the calls. When I explained that I work daytime hours at the Health Department but could be somewhat flexible, she was unwilling to accommodate this or offer alternative scheduling options. I chose Keypoint specifically because of their advertised evening hours twice a week and the availability of telehealth. Initially, Carla insisted that all appointments were during the day. Only after I pointed out the clinic’s posted hours did she acknowledge that they have one late day each week, but claimed those slots were in high demand. I asked if my spouse, who lives with me and is fully informed and supportive of our children’s care, could handle the intakes. Carla refused, stating that only I—as the legal guardian—could participate. In an effort to comply, I left work to provide consent in person, only to be told again that this was not acceptable. I then offered to step away from work during my lunch break to attend one of the intake calls. At that point, Carla informed me that my child would need to be present on the call, even though the conversation would include potentially sensitive and traumatic topics. I expressed, multiple times, that I did not believe it was in my child’s best interest to be present for such a conversation. I also explained that I could answer behavioral questions more accurately and in a more developmentally appropriate manner. Despite this, Carla continued to insist that my child be on the call. By this point, I was visibly upset and emotionally overwhelmed. As a mother seeking support for her children’s mental health, I felt powerless—forced to choose between keeping my job and getting my children the help they need. When Carla told me to “calm down” and cited policy, I attempted to explain my concerns as clearly and respectfully as I could. I reminded her that I have been extremely patient and flexible, even stepping outside in the middle of my workday to try to meet her demands. Unfortunately, we never even reached the point of receiving intake links, as the entire conversation became focused on her rigid responses and lack of understanding. I work in behavioral health myself, and I know the importance of treating people with empathy and flexibility. It was clear that Carla may be experiencing burnout, but her approach left me feeling dismissed, shaken, and completely unsupported. This interaction was not only disappointing but also emotionally taxing. I left the call feeling like I needed to speak to my own therapist to process the experience. I sincerely hope that steps can be taken to improve communication, scheduling flexibility, and overall compassion for families who are already struggling and simply trying to access care for their children.
My daughter was hallucinating and needed her doctors help. I called Dr.Verma and she would not see her till her appointment. She said to go to Sheppard Pratt. SP said they can only treat her if she was admitted. She… didn't need that. So we had to wait a whole week to see Verma. We waited for her to call us and she never did. We called the office and she said she wanted the appointment to be IN PERSON but she never told me that before. So I said we can come in right away and she said no. I told her that my child would run out of medicine and can she please send in a script for the 7 days she will be waiting for the NEXT appointment and she said no. I asked her if she can at least sign my child's medication form so she can go on her school trip and guess what? She said NO. We called her primary Dr.Similang whom she has not seen in a year and he said he would give her 7 days of meds AND sign the paper. We fired Keypoint and found a much better place. They don't help people. My child needed her and they failed her. I had Dr.Amir and kept telling her I couldn't function from no sleep and horrible hdhd but she did not help me. She just said to push myself and go to sleep earlier. If you have add then you know that's not possible. I found a new doctor and she gave me the right meds and I finally feel back to myself. Stay away from this place. PRP is a joke. They say they need to come have a meet up with my daughter but they just have her sign a paper saying they met and the lady leaves. This place is crap.
Therapist of 5 years was phenomenal but the psychiatrist was very questionable. Had one that was really good for around a year and he left and the new one you could tell wasn't very experienced. Basically the good ones… aren't around for long as it's a stepping stone place.
Just wow. Don't waste your time. They turn patients away. Nobody here cares about your mental health. And now by looking at my response from this establishment tells me all anyone needs to know. You tried to bash me… because of a "dispensary review " . People who utilize these businesses have every right to know what kind of service they receive whether it be bad or good. I was nit once told that they weren't taking patients when my paperwork was picked up. The other lady said that the date on the paper was before your "deadline". Some people work the hours you're open. You actually had the audacity to come here to try to bash me now even coming in and asking for help. And FYI I have my card and yes I do partake in the dispensary because of my neuropathy and ONLY FOR BED. Also, out of over 55 reviews I've given, the 38 of them have 3 to 5 stars . I'm glad you showed your true colors as a response to my review. You are bullying someone who asked you for help. Plus i was definitely turned away when i handed in the paper. You cant say you dont. So next time, make sure you get your public bashing in order.
Don’t waste your time I guess. Not only was I initially given an appointment that I didn’t know I had until a few days before and was told the wrong time, I got sick and am currently still sick and was given a “oh maybe… you can do a telehealth appointment but I’m not sure” and then I get a voice mail from Ms. Sierra who I’ve been playing phone tag with who says if I don’t come with a doctors note by October third I will be discharged. I already went to urgent care and they don’t give notes after you leave they will want you to be seen again… which takes time and money I quite frankly don’t have. I tried calling to speak with literally anyone but I’m 30 minutes too late of course. I just don’t think this is fair, their voice mail literally says stay home if you’re sick and Ms. Haillee(?) said this appointment HAD to be in person and if something happens please call which is why I didn’t expect a telehealth call and I did call to explain that I was literally running a fever and was given a voice mail. I did NOT no call no show, like I’m being accused of.
My son has benefitted greatly by attending Key Point. All of the staff that I met were caring, professional and did an outstanding job working with the patients. They do follow ups to ensure the patients are adhering to… rules and regulations. I greatly appreciate the time and effort Key Point put forth helping my son live a normal and independent life.
Therapists and psychiatrists are very helpful and take great care of their patients!
This place stinks and will completely waste your time and ruin your life more. Don't go here. Keypoint causes crises. The therapists and supervisor are bullies and care more about having power and control over helpless… people than about helping anyone.
This place is garbage. They don't want to help you.
Waste of time and money. They don't care about you. Go somewhere else.
Trash
Good experience with the actual staff, some staff really tried hard (in reference to the PRP) and the drivers were compassionate, but they have a ton of clients and some of the clients are toxic at best. Not enough… punishment for certain behaviors I've seen. I'll spare the details.
I would never recommend Key Point out reach to anybody if you need help with something or someone bothering you they don’t care they don’t help They just keep on coming up with excuse after excuse. it’s just a shame I… have to give them at least one star the only people who do there job are the maintenance men
It turns out that having a job means that your child cannot get any type of help.
Terrible, complete waste of time for me and my child. The only person who was helpful was the psychiatrist. The therapist was simply terrible and I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time thinking they would help.
