About Maine Childrens Home – Waterville
Maine Childrens Home operates from 93 Silver Street in Waterville. The site sits in Kennebec County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Fairfield, Oakland and Skowhegan. Maine draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Care offered spans more than one level, which means someone can move between them without changing provider.

Treatment Services at Maine Childrens Home
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Maine Childrens Home Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 93 Silver Street, Waterville, ME 04901, in Kennebec County. The catchment reaches Fairfield, Oakland and Skowhegan. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Today first time I'm going in MCH
We adopted internationally and this is the only Hague accredited agency in the state of Maine, to my knowledge. The entire staff was efficient, friendly, caring, and professional throughout the entire lengthy process,… including post-placement. They helped navigate us through the complex process and helped in anyway needed.
We used the Maine Children’s home for building our family through private adoption. We started with the information session and worked with their agency from start to finish. Their staff was always professional and… efficient. They helped us feel supported during a difficult and emotional process. There were several speed bumps and the Maine children’s home and specifically our social worker, Sharon- helped us to navigate these issues. She and the staff always returned a call promptly, fast return on emails and assisted us with all the paperwork and keeping it organized! We actually miss our visits!
Very supportive and knowledgeable in helping us during and after our international adoption.
We used Maine Children’s home for our home study visits for our international adoption. We worked with them over the course of the last 7 years and they have always been very helpful and there for us with any questions… we had along the way. They worked with us to provide home studies for Bulgaria to the countries specifications and on a very strict timeline. Their help made our adoption journey possible!
Great program!
Over the years, we have supported this organization because of the wonderful work it does!
Love what your doing to help kids! They are our future! Keep up the great work! Many Thanks!
This place is great. If you are looking for more than just somebody to watch your child, and want them to learn as well, this is the place for you.
Fantastic early childhood care and education - our son has been at 4 child care/preschools (due to moving) and The Children's Place was fantastic. They really care about the kids and giving them age appropriate… activities. (Full disclosure, we were so happy with our experience that I joined the Board of the Children's Home, but I've stayed on it even though we now live over an hour away.)
If your looking for a child behavioral therapist look no further. Staff here are the best. They also offer many other services one of them being a daycare.
Helping kids for a long time.
