I gave my friend a ride to the Blairsville clinic, and he ended up vomiting on the way home. I asked him if he was ok, and he stated he had a counseling session after his dose, but it was so hot inside he started not to… feel good and had to leave early. I don't know what is going on with the heat inside the building, but it was basically a wasted trip for my friend.
I've been in treatment 14 years. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody… could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes!
I have been going to this treatment center since August. In that amount of time I have seen people heal from opiate addiction to move on to healthier and better lives. I will say that the counselors at this clinic care… deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. If you struggle with addiction, I would suggest calling and talking to one of the counselors. Truly they care.
I do not go to this place. I have a loved one that did . I hate this place. They say one thing and do another and they say they are going to wing them off and or never happens. Medmark is out for your money your life… and all you ever were. Stay away from this facility and all that are like it. My loved one was nothing but an number. They mean nothing to the staff or doctors . Promise.
Broke down up here in Blairsville on our way home to Marietta. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director… is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. Joy, Shauna, and the dosing nurse are wonderful people and helped us when we needed it the most. Cant say thank you enough!!! ----Alicia and Brad----
Trying to guest dose and preparing to transfer and these people didn't care. The girl at the front desk was rude and is only nice to people who are regulars. One guy smelled strongly of marijuana and was still treated… better than we were.
The staff are very caring and are great they go above and beyond to help the atmosphere is a professional andgood environment Joy Atkins really cares about the St aff and especially the patients
Thank you for all you do for our community on helping so many struggling with addiction you are truly a blessing God Bless you All!!
Is that all you got!
I bring a friend every once in awhile...I mean it's helped them a lot but I still think it's a money racket that the government uses to sell drugs legally... Wish I could make a killing off people that are obviously… already struggling but ya know I'm not that cold hearted!
In my life I have been many places, meet many people and experienced things many men will never see in a life time. I spent many years in the army and I am a combat veteran. When I got out the readjustment was just too… much for me and in turn I turned to hard drugs. My life it seems had hit rock bottom, I lost everything that made me.... well me. So divorced and homeless and a horrible addiction. I contemplated suicide and attempted at least twice, no one likes to feel trapped or pinned down. Having absolutely no control of there life. But then I found this treatment center, from the first time I walked in the door I was greeted and surrounded by smiles. And for the first time in a long time I felt compassion. Not only did I find a way off of drugs but because of my counselor Joy, I finally found a way out. Joy listens and actually cares about my well being and keeping me on track. And not on time has she ever made me feel like I can't reach my goals of becoming clean and sober.Truly a good motivator and a excellent life coach, and I am truly grateful for everything she does and has done for me. Everyone one at this facility are all amazing at what they do don't get me wrong I can only tell you about my counselor because of personal experience. I been going here for 3 years and hands down the director Nikki has been the best for this facility. I believe she truly cares about each and every one of us as patients. She got the driveway paved, she got the inside remoldeled so there would be more room. you can always tell when someone loves there job and there's no hiding she loves hers. I am very grateful for everyone at med mark, and I am not ashamed at all for seeking help. If it was not for this great staff of professionals and care givers, I do not believe I would be here so from the bottom of my heart I truly thank you. If you have a problem with addiction you shouldn't go alone. Especially when these folks are here for you.
Patients BEWARE!!! This place is the most unprofessional place I have ever seen! I sat back in amazement for almost a year as they did terrible things to my sister. Without her noticing, she was being overcharged. I had… to argue with the receptionist (which uses her fingers to add up what is owed) until the lady that is in charge came out to the reception area, only to tell her she was wrong and I was right. As if that were not bad enough, the therapist that handled my sister (Joy) was a joke! She spoke mostly with my sister about the type of car she'd like to get one day. She'd never want to talk about how my sister was doing with her medication. Which is what my sister wanted to speak with her about. The one time I tried to go into the back office with my sister to speak with her about my sister's issues she greeted me at the door like a linebacker! At which point the STRONG smell of marijuana came pouring out around her. After all that, the biggest problem was the problem she was experiencing with her medication. She spoke to the "Dr" and her councillor several times. She let them know her medication was not working for her. The woman in charge of dispensing the medication is extremely rude! I really think someone needs to check her qualifications to mix and dispense the medicine. Lastly, we finally got my sister into another clinic where they determined she was suffering from withdrawals (which she should not have been having if her meds were being dispensed properly). The people at this clinic are extremely shady! It is my opinion that they are themselves getting high on their own supply! They treated my sister like a yo-yo...keeping her up and down with her medications. They are very lucky they haven't killed someone yet! I'm not sure who owns this facility, but I think they should invest in some surprise drug tests for their employees!
Love this place and the staff but gonna miss them when I leave!!!
If you are looking for a comfortable, respectful, dedicated treatment facility this is NOT for you. It's a fantastic idea, but fails miserably in execution. Staff is unfriendly, suspicious, and unyielding; especially if… they don't "like" a patient. They act like they are doing patient's a favor instead of a service (that each patient is paying for heavily). The atmosphere isn't of rehabilitation and treatment, it's more like a daily drug deal that goes on everyday for each client. And, when asked about weening down, patients are told if they don't need it anymore they don't have to have any at all.
My son went there looking for help to kick his opioid addiction. What he found was a legal method of sustaining another habit. After more than two years he has never been placed in an exit program or even had a conselor… assigned in over six months. $10,000 later they still collect their $84 a week and say thank you and goodbye. It has become a revolving door money trap.

I am a married "soccer mom" that had a serious back injury which required surgery. I was sent to a Pain Mgmt. doctor two years after my surgery once I had rehabilitation six different times. I saw my Dr. once a month… for almost 7 yrs....which included a drug test EVERY month. This past January, I spoke to my Dr and let him know I didn't want to take the pain meds any longer and he suggested I contact a rehab center. I found Turning Point and my life has done a 360° turn! Yes, I have pain, but I have been taught to manage it myself! I honestly had NO IDEA how addicted to the pain meds I really was! The Dr at the Center is not only a fantastic Dr, but, an all around wonderful, caring person that genuinely wants to assist you in your recovery and wants to see you get well! The Counselors are some of the best people I have EVER met...as well as all 3 of the Nurses! These people, ALL OF THEM, have helped me more than they probably even know! They have given my Husband his Wife back and my Children their Mommy back! I still have some work to do on myself at Turning Point, but, with God and everyone up there, I know that I can do it! I would recommend Turning Point to ANYONE that needed some help!!! They are a God Send!!
