The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

MedMark Treatment Centers – Merrillville Reviews and Ratings
MedMark Treatment Centers in Merrillville can be understood partly through its license and accreditation, and partly through what patients say. Read their reviews here, and leave one if you have been in treatment at the facility.
The review is only for the doctor, everybody else is great, the doctor comes in when he wants or when he feels like it when you're trying to do something he leaves early he don't stay there very long he's not on a set… schedule so when you're trying to dose down or you're trying to dose up you're lucky when you catch him or you got to sit there and wait for him to get settled, I've been trying to catch him for a week and finally when I do I'm told to sit and wait because he's not settled in yet he was actually on the toilet, I'm tired of chasing I'm about ready to stop dosing start taking my Lyrica at this point of titrating and not go back!
If they took my insurance which covers everything, it would def be a better experience. However the choice between using and taking my medicine is clear to me and worth the money in the end. However it is a program that… you have to work for yourself. No one can do it for you.
Let me just say I was a patient at Medmark for years and above everything no matter what because they open at 4:45 AM says it all. They generally want to meet everyday people’s needs to live a normal life.In and out the… door before 5am to do what you need to do w your life. Try and find another clinic that does that for you. You won’t. Working men and women this your clinic. Just no weed. Sorry.
I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like… most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don’t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don’t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don’t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can’t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That’s all!
I love the people and the staff however the company is terrible seems more concerned about making money than helping people it was great when it was Northwest Indiana treatment center since they have bought it they have… raised the price and now charge you even if you can't make it there to get your dose. This is ridiculous Even at a doctor's office you can cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance and not get this is ridiculous raising the price is one thing but charging people that can't afford to come every day is just baffling.
OK I am a former patient here at medmark as of this Monday. When it was N.I.T.C. it was great. It changed my life for the better. I started in 2018 and have dosed down to 10mg. The 1st of the year they raised the price.… I'm not paying $476 a month for what used to be 1 dose. Lisa, Kim, Jackie and Yolanda are great. Lisa is the best counselor you could ask for. However, I can't do it anymore. I have switched to suboxone.
I don’t understand how this place can get away with not accepting Medicaid /HIP/MDwise Insurance! Most likely they are upping the cost to get all they can out of other insurance providers and know that they would be… investigated if they tried that with HIP/MDwise! My daughter has been going here for a couple of years paying 14 dollars a day which is ridiculous and now they’ve raised it to almost 20 dollars a day which is completely unacceptable! Especially for people who are deemed “medically frail” so, they can’t get a decent enough job to cover the cost or just can’t work at all!
Hi my name is Toni bills and I was wondering how can I go about admitting myself here I NEED HELP FAST IM LOYTO GET INTO SOMEWHERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME THAT WOULD BE SO GREAT IM ALONE IN THIS WORLD… AND I DESPERATELY NEES HELP PLEASE AND THANK YOU
I kept telling myself I didn’t need help, that I wasn’t addicted. I was wrong for a long time. I was addicted and my addiction was ruining and running my life. When I finally realized I needed real help, I finally went… here and it saved my life. Great counselors, great staff, and a lot of people just looking to get help. I really, really recommend anyone who’s ready to finally get help come here. (By the way, they didn’t accept Medicare when I went there. That was 5 years ago. I’m currently going to Porter Starke Services in Valparaiso, Indiana because they accept Medicare there)
I have been a patient 6+ months was told coming in they would be accepting insurance soon even signed a “contract “ to be reimbursed in 2022 here we are in the middle of 2023 crickets and i had a emergency come up ie… lost my phone and alas still being charged per new rules to be handed a cup! The nurses are amazing and deserve pay should not be on our backs as patients ie addicts in recovery been a week and haven’t had gas to dose amazingly haven’t relapsed but supposed to come in and owe $$$ in order to get back on track not fare when bein strung along on a fake reimbursement draconian new policy makes me not want to come back tbh
I Love Kim, She's so personable its refreshing. Also, the counselors are wonderful, especially mine.
SAVED MY LIFE!! After having 2 surgeries and physical therapy over 10 years I became addicted to pain pills and never thought I’d need help... 4 years ago I called a couple places cus I had no idea what I was going to… do or where to turn. They opened at 4:45 am and I was there! I wasn’t able to see a Doctor right away simply cus I went in so early but I was able to talk with a counselor and get the paperwork taken care of. While I waited for the Doctor I was asked if I was ok and one Counselor in particular, Robyn/Robin, made me feel like I made the right choice, that I would be able to do this, that I would feel better eventually. She just showed me comfort when I really needed it. The doc came in around 7am I sat with him told him my problem and within the next 10-15 mins I was dosing. They start you low and build up every day till you feel comfortable. Once you’ve done well and pass drug screens you’re allowed “take homes” so you don’t have to go daily. You will lose em if you fail a screen or miss days or mess up basically. They say not everyone is the same so therefor there’s no set dose that someone can say works also no set timeline on how long you go for... be it months or years and that’s reassuring. DON’T BE AFRAID!! Just GO & START THE BEGINNING OF YOUR NEW LIFE! They’re open 7 days and the hours on google are correct but it doesn’t say that when you first go- your first day- you have to see the Doctor. He isn’t in until 7-8 during the weekdays ONLY! No weekends. So if you’re looking to start methadone maintenance make sure you go in on a WEEKDAY! But I’m so grateful for all the workers there! Thank You for showing up everyday and being a place where we can get better and live a better life!
Best place to get help
absolutely is saving my life.. 1 day at a time.. thank u KIM RUTH YOLANDA VALERIE AND GEORGE.. UR giving me a new purpose in life.. may god be with u all..
Great staff, very helpful w/ guest dosing
I went in to dose they said there was a hold on me from the director so I couldn't dose cuz she not here to take stop off.
Place is usually crowded unless you go at like 6 or 8 and that's even questionable, usually only have one window open but when there is two its goes quicker.
Love the staff they r all awesome....they don't judge u and willing to go out the way to help u in anyway they can....
The staffing here is amazing and friendly. Kim who works the front desk is very helpful and polite, the nurses are great here and the counselors especially Ebony and Angela are very welcoming and helpful and wonderful… at showing you the ropes. Robin a counselor that's been there for the longest is probably the worst of all of them to get TBH she isn't out for the best of your treatment plan she could careless about what your dealing with and has NO HEART at all so pray you don't get her she looks at everyone as if they're beneath . Overall wonderful environment and great place for treatment. Sincerely #907 😉
Only thing that has helped my addiction. Been to inpatient rehabs 4-6 times never worked. Thought methadone was a crutch but it saved my life!
Great people!! Very friendly and down to earth. ♡
