This place saved my life and I moved to Birmingham and still drove 2 hours to go to this place. I love my councilors I had over the years and the staff was and is so polite and supportive. Thank you Lord for opening up… these doors for people in pain and the doctors won’t help. 🫶🏼🥰🙏💪
Not the place to go if you want to get off opiates... My husband started methadone in September last year for help to get off fent so he wouldn't have to go through horrible withdrawals. We clearly let them know at the… very first appointment that he didn't want to swap one addiction for another, he just needed something to assist him in detoxing. We both told the doctor that he wanted to tapper down with the doses so he could quit, instead they raised his doses consistently to where he's now more dependant on methadone than he was on fent. & They still won't even listen when we ask about tapering down. Being on methadone for the rest of his life is not what my husband expected when he went to medmark for help, he expected actual help not a trade in of one addiction for another.
I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to… different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. It comes with the territory. Thank you everyone at the Oxford,Al clinic.
Annette and Leslie were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Very nice, respectful, and courteous. Highly recommend this place.
This place is a JOKE!!! FROM START IT WAS AN ISSUE BECAUSE MARIE AND LESLIE ARE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AND THEY TELL THE WRONG INFO TO OTHER PATIENTS AND CLINICS AND THEN TRY TO MAKE IT LIKE IT WAS YOU BUT WHEN YOU CALL… THEM AND PUT THEM IN SPEAKER FOR PATIENT AND CLINIC TO HEAR WE ASKED EVERY QUESTION NEEDED AND NOW I HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE THEY WERE SO RUDE TO ME AND MY CLINIC PRIOR THAT I AM NO GOING BACK TO BECAUSE BY THE NURSE AND EVERYONE THERE THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN 👎 MAKING PATIENT CRY, FEEL UNWANTED DURING SUCH A CRUCIAL TIME THEY CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO GO BACK TO BAD HABBITS AND OR OD. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND CORPORATE HAS BEEN CONTACTED. FIX THIS PLACE
this clinic is Awful! THE WAIT TIME IS Ridiculous THEY HAVE 1 NURSE WORKING THE 1 WINDOW OPEN, THE CLINIC HAS BEEN LATE OPENING 5 TIMES IN THE MONTHS OF NOV AND DEC. LIKE, A HOUR AND A HALF LATE TWICE!! JUST YESTERDAY… THE OBNOXIOUS TWO THAT WORK THE WINDOW TOLD A PATIENT , "If you dont like it ,you dont have to come here" the rules change weekly, its very hard to keep a job when this place opens late at least 2-3 times a month only has one nurse dosing, if somthing happens to her they just dont dose us until hours later DONT TELL ME TO CONTACT THE DIRECTOR , WE HAVE!! THOSE WOMEN TELL HIM WHAT TO DO AND BLATANTLY IGNORE HIM WHEN HE ASKS THEM TO DO Something. CONTACTING BAYMARK, THE OWNERS OF MEDMARK IS THE ONLY OPTION. THEY THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON SOMEONE FOR COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM OPENING 1.5 HOURS LATE, AND THEY REFUSE TO TELL THE PATIENTS WHY THEY ARE NOT OPENING, JUST LEAVE THEM STANDING IN THE COLD OUTSIDE THIS PLACE NEEDS A STAFF MAKEOVER AND THEY NEED TO HIRE PEOPLE, ONE WINDOW OPEN IS PATHETIC, ITS A LONG WAIT MANY DAYS AND NOW THEY Need A BREAK BETWEEN 10:00-10:30 SO THEY CLOSE THE CLINIC???????? TAKE HOME DAYS ARE HORRIBLE EXPECT TO BE THERE WAY TO LONG. I URGE ANY CURRANT PATIENTS TO LEAVE A REAL EXPERIENCE. AND CONTACT CORPORATE ON THEIR ABUSES. NOONE SHOULD EVER BE TOLD IF THEY DONT LIKE IT DONT COME HERE.
Saved my marriage and my life thank you medmark
I when I started at Calhoun county treatments center it changed my life !!!!! I had been addicted to pain pills for about 15 years give a couple of years I would stop then start back really horrible cycles !!! I have… been clean since 3008 Awesome counselors ❤️ Great program if you work lit awesome nurses ❤️ And can’t forget the window secretary’s ❤️ I took off and haven’t looked back ❤️I’m stronger than I ever thought I could be and it has changed my life in so many ways ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have been here four five years when I first started they doc is and is still great they have got better nurses shout out to Kathy she works really hard and miss Annette med mark won’t hire anyone else it’s just those… two winched has cuz the clinic to have a huge wait line over hour and a half when used to. I could just walk in there and dose and walk out. The only other problem I have is they change the dosing hours but they don’t on their page on Google and because of that I miss my dose because they’re supposed to be open on weekends from 5 to 930 Saturday and Sunday now they’re only open on Saturdays till 5 to 7. I’ve seen so many people Mr. doses because of this like I said maybe on one it’s very frustrating and I hope Madmarcc get certain stuff together because a lot of people that I know in the last week have quit because of this mess.
Great service
If you’re looking to get your life together, this is the place to go I actually care they’re not just there for a paycheck they want to help
I've been an addict since I was 15. (I'm 35 now). Started with pain pills, meth, ice, cocaine. My DOC is pain pills tho. In 2014, my uncle overdosed after doing heroin ONE TIME. My dad had overdosed when I was 6 on… fentanyl patches. Pain pills were few and far between. On October 1st, 2014, I made the life changing decision to start the methadone clinic. It took me a long time to get it right. But I have been in treatment here for 10 years & I am one of the ones who will be on it for the rest of my life. But I'm okay with that. My kids deserve me as a recovering addict, not as an active one!!
The clinic is very good, they try to help you, as long as u do ur part, I wish they offered methadone diskets.
I was doing good when they were raising 10 mg every 3 days, withdrawals were bad but I dealt with it. Now im only getting a few hours of relief from withdrawal and they are taking me up 5mg every 3 days when every where… else takes you up 5mg PER day with doctors permission, but Oxford can't do that because they only have a doctor 3 days a week. It's gotten to the point where I'm having to do dope again or I will lose my job because I'm withdrawing so bad people are getting suspicious. My job is my life. My honest opinion if you really want to quit dope for real and you want to get off of it as fast as you can do not come to this treatment center go to Tri-County Treatment Center. This place has wasted my time and money and also caused me to be on a higher dose than I want to be due to how slow they progress. Update: now they stopped going up completely, so do not come here if you really want to get clean. I'm in process of talking to some people if it gets better I will change review but if you want to LIVE go to Tri County.
This place is a joke! They don’t want to help people, They are a bunch of lies! When I started they told me at 12:30 they stopped dosing but if I was gonna be a couple minutes late that I could call and they would wait… 5 min but that was it! So here it is 12:33 and I’m in the parking lot but I called at 12:28 and told they I was running a little late but I would be about 2-3 minutes late and she stright told me NO! So I’m going to get some dope and I’m getting high so I’m not sick AF and hope I don’t die! This ain’t the only problem I’ve had with them either!
Thank you.
I love this clinic! The doctors, nurses, and counselors there are so nice and sweet! The Methadone doesn't cost that much and it's really been helping me. 💕💗
This place is awesome! All the staff is so nice and respectful. My husband and I recently transferred here from Tuscaloosa, and we where happy to find another great staff like ours in Ttown. Only differnce is Medmark… (Oxford) has 3 dosing booths and longer dosing hours (which is great for us because we live out of town). Methadone has really changed our lives!
Y’all are the worst people ever when it comes to trying to keep people ‘clean’ your rules are ridiculous and your staff are rude and horrible. No one needs to come to y’all if they actually want or need help cause y’all… don’t really care like you say you do
