Metropolitan Human Services District – Arabi Detox and Rehab Services

Services at Metropolitan Human Services District – Arabi run to intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is reasonable to ask how progress is reviewed and by whom. Ask what happens if the recommended level of care is not available immediately.

I’ve had to scheduled an urgent appointment for my medications. When I arrived the lady at the front desk had a really bad attitude. Then the doctor decided not to see me and required me to reschedule it. I am out of… medications and they would not make accommodations for their actions. I’ve noticed the low ratings before deciding to change mental health locations from Algiers to St Bernard Parish because I am a firm believer that everyone deserves the benefit of doubt. This is one of the main reason that go unseen which leads to unfortunate circumstances in Louisiana. We deserve better!
