New Hope Detox – Jackson Reviews
Reviews are where patients and families describe New Hope Detox in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the Jackson facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
ER is slow - pack breakfast lunch and dinner for the waiting room
Everytime I visit this er I can never get help. Waiting hours to be seen.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful to my whole family.
They are wonderful here. Everyone is so nice and caring! Dr Hussein & PA Mrs Rene care and talk to you explaining everything. Would highly recommend!
Jackson Medical Center is the worst hospital I have ever seen. I would not take my dog there for Help... I am going to report Jackson Medical Center to the state board of health. I am filing a corporate complaint.
Very poor service and very slow. Saw a teenager who had been stabbed and they sat in the waiting room for 45-50 min.
My husband was seen today at the ER. We had such a great experience! All of the staff were very friendly and very attentive, but Nurse Erin was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and she even went above and beyond to… make sure that my husband felt comfortable and safe under her care! She deserves a raise!
There's definitely a reason this place has two and a half stars would definitely recommend some place more professional. If not then the jumped conclusions and negligence of gathering key details will likely cause you… more injury, pain and suffering. 2 of those stars go to people who sounded like the cared for my situation. Follow up: now receives one star after reading the incorrect, missleading and false paper work stating im good to go back to work( though im hobbling around having trouble walking) even though the material they gave me states to prevent injury- rest, ice, compression, elevation, which i was not supplyed with and nor comended resuming work immediately ? im not sure if everyone at this "medical" center is like this but these people put this on a U.S. department of labor document which is detremental to my health and getting benefits that could very well help me with my condition. These people do not care about health and wellness and even called me a liar for saying I was hurt. "thats not from that (walks immediately out after i try to explain i cant work like this)" this statement is irrefutable, and was at absolutely no help or urgancy to get me the help I need to heal from my injury and the the fact is they'd never know what was wrong with me cause they dont even have the equipment for it.
They truly care a out their patients.
We are so appreciative of this Hospital Staff. They took very good care of our Mother over this past weekend. She was admitted through the ER Friday night and was discharged today. She is much better and stronger. We… are thankful to have this one in patient Hospital in the entire area of Clarke County, AL - which is a large county.
The Dr. Is great but the nursing staff is absolutely slow. The Dr. Came in spoke with us told us the plan of action we waited over an HR for the RN to give a shot and discharge paperwork. Absolutely ridiculous!
Tim mullinax is outstanding, great nurse too. Very interactive and calm, clean , comfortable environment. Great place to go for kids.
Jackson Medical Center is a horrible place to go to. I would not recommend anyone to go there. It seems to be a buddy system as well they only see the ones they know and their kind of you know what I mean (gentiles). I… sat in the parking lot for an hour and was then told I was putting a nurse life in danger just because I went to the door to ask a question. Pitiful and horrible hospital to go to. By pass Jackson medical center and go to Grove Hill or Thomasville where you know you will get your service and results on time.
They weren’t helpful at all! I went bc I had symptoms of Covid ..they weren’t properly dressed, acted like they didn’t care .. tried to send me home w/o any medication or anything . They where very rude and heartless !… The place was filthy … I will never go back there again! Worst experience ever ! Never seen such a careless staff
Slow slow slow stay away go to grove hill or Thomasville. Tried to get my soon looked at today was told there is a long wait might be a few hours that’s ridiculous. Took them 4 hours to see my brother too the other day.… Won’t be returning, this place deserves 0 stars!!!
I had a lot of pain on my side, I went here because of it as I had went unconscious from it at work. I got here and the nurse told me I had to wait on the doctor to wake up from his nap (I wish I was joking but I am… not) after I got scanned. I waited 6 hours before anyone came back to me. Finally the doctor came in after his nap around 4 in the morning and was actually concerned because I had a 6ml kidney stone that needed further inspection. I had already passed it, just right before he came in to tell me I needed to go to Mobile to potentially get it crushed if it didn’t pass. I would have thought I would be given something to atleast stop the throwing up, but I wasn’t. I felt like I was bothering the staff for simply being there. I wouldn’t have went if I wasn’t hurting because I don’t have the money to spend on emergency situations.
The staff here are very rude. They talk to you like your a child and the Dr that wears the same sweater day in and day out doesn't even listen to understand he listens to answer. He said my blood work was off and… wouldn't tell me anything else...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN ALL AREAS. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOUR PRACTICING!! Not once but twice i was giving something I was allergic too!!! Blood pressure was 209/103 from pain.. couldn't even pain medication
NEVER GO HERE. Go somewhere else. The extra time you spend driving will be made back when you deal with competent staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Horrible customer service! This facility is FAILING the people of Jackson.
Terrible place
I went to the Jackson Urgent Care over 1 1/2 years ago to get a shot to clear up a head cold. The nurse practitioner wanted to send me to the hospital to be tested for the flu. I told her I didnt have the flu and she… then told me that she couldn't treat me. So I left and drove an hour to see my doctor who treated me and I was better within days. Now a year and half later I get a bill from them for an office visit. I called the urgent care center and explained what happened and her response was if I didnt pay it she was turning me over to collections. I tried to call the hospital administrator for over a week now and left messages for her to call me back but no response. I dont think I should have to pay the bill when the nurse practitioner point blank told me she couldn't treat me. But anyway it's not about the money but more of the principle. I will not be going back or referring anyone to either locating.
I’ve had multiple family members sent home with no help or misdiagnosed. To name a few: one was sent home bleeding internally (and almost died, might I add), another had pneumonia pretty bad and was sent home just for… it to get worse (ended up in ICU in Mobile), another was told they had COPD (not the case; something much worse), and lastly my own child was misdiagnosed with staph (turned out to be what I initially thought it was; nothing life threatening thank God). These are just MY experiences. Most of the staff is pretty friendly and good to people, but I can’t say the same about all of the doctors. I understand hospitals have to see patients to make money, but you don’t put the quantity of patients you see over the quality of care you give.
