This place had one teacher, I forgot her name but she was African American. She was very strict. If you ever consider this place, listen to her! I cannot stress this enough.
It not a good place staff is never around and they treat us like prisoners here council is never around. They can’t keep your business a secret. They break HIPAA like crazy out here. State needs to get involved and do… investigations cause it seems like staff has relationships with the men who stay here. would not recommend anybody coming out here. This place is a hazard.

I am truly thankful for the Serenity Center in Plainview. The program helped me with hurts and hangups that I carried from my addiction. I am more confident in my recovery emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The… staff treated my daughter and I with the upmost respect and loved US every step of the 90 days. If you are a struggling mother they offer a women's and children's program, THAT WORKS! Thank you with all my heart. I now have a stronger bond with my family and children. We love and miss this place! God Bless the serenity Center and ALL the STAFF! -❤️ We Do recover, Love Krista and Jimmy!❤️
I was stole from when I was here, my mom had to call the sherif because they tried to keep my belongings. the staff talk amongst themselves of you're personal business and don’t care if they’re heard by other clients… and worst of all there is no one on one there is no insulation so I froze when I stayed here, there are not enough working bathrooms and the girls just kept using the toilet and filling it up it was gross. I would never recommend going here don’t know how it’s not shut down.
this is without a doubt the worst experience i ever had at a substance abuse facility and you cant just keep writing off low reviews as angry alcoholics complaining forever - there really are serious problems here that… need to be addressed. how this place is open still is beyond me
The address is not 454 I27, it's 450 I27. Save yourself some time and trust me. We went to pick up a family member and called ahead to avoid any issues. They laughed when we called back, concerned because GPS took us to… 454 I27
One of the counselors, Ruby Shears, breaches clients' confidentiality. She has a tendency to relay personal information to people she is related to and also to client family members. If you want words twisted or your… personal family traumas out there, she's the perfect counselor for you!
There is no real exposure to 12 step programs, even though they “schedule” time for it. The Chemical Dependency Education classes are a joke. The staff doesn’t seem to ever know what they are coming in to teach a class… on. The counseling was non-existent, at least for me. Also, know that this is not a medical facility. I used it to just get 30 days to dry out and move on in my recovery in the rooms of AA and counseling. While I was there they had admitted an older man who had, apparently, had a stroke some time back. He was wetting the bed and couldn’t remember things. The staff would not take care of him the way he needed. He did not need to be there. He needed to be somewhere there was home care type help. The clients stepped up and changed his sheets, made sure he took showers and changed clothes. He was homeless before he came there and ended up getting really sick and needed antibiotics. He of course had no money but the staff refused to get the antibiotics for him to get well. And oh yeah, I was there for 2 weeks and hadn’t officially been admitted into the system. If you know what recovery is about and how to get the guidance outside of treatment and just need a place to “dry” out, this place will work for you. Otherwise, I would never suggest this place to anyone for help.
This place don't even care about if you have a emergency they won't even let you talk to your spouse play make it seem like it's a prison instead of getting help
The counselors a some staff members have been in our shoes. They know what addictions do to us 1st hand. I loved that about it , because they really can help you through it.. The recovery coach Ms. Dee is awesome! If… you need treatment I would go there.
I went into this place dying from my addiction, unable to be a parent to my 4 kids. After 30 miraculously selfish days in recovery I came out and have been clean for almost 7 years now. I have been a parent to my kids… and blessed by GOD every second since. THANK GOD for Serenity and its staff.
