WTCR Amarillo – Amarillo Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows WTCR Amarillo – Amarillo providing detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Called ahead about intake, was not told anything about needing a specific money order for payment. So had to leave ,sick, and run around at 530 in the morning searching for somewhere to get a money order. The staff was… very impatient and rude to someone already crying and down just trying to get help. You don't know what every person who comes through those doors has been through to get there. They're trying to get help, stop making it so hard!

This place saved my life!!! I was going through treatment here and then I unexpectedly moved back to Dallas. I was unable to get into a clinic there for reasons unrelated to WTCR. I relapsed and I knew that I needed to… get back to Amarillo and back into "my clinic" here. I did everything I could to try to get me and my dog back to Amarillo. 7 very long months passed and I was desperate and ready to give up when a ride back to Amarillo found me. Me and my dog arrived back in Amarillo around 2 am. We had no place to go and no one knew that we were coming back. I was there when they unlocked the door. I told them of the dreams I'd had about being back here inside this building and how happy I was until I woke up and it had only been a dream. I would be heartbroken and just bawling. I had come to the clinic hoping to get an appointment for intake. I never thought I would be taken in that very moment, yet I was. I thank God for these people each and every day!!! I have met and made friends with some of the most amazing people!!! I have had my hopes restored! If you are in need of help this is the best place to begin. Everyone here whether it's staff or client is happy to offer encouragement. This place saved not only my life but untold countless other lives as well.

This place can be a miracle of help, or it can be a world of hell! Opiate addiction is one of the worst things to see a friend, or a family, member or yourself suffer from! Be stronger than the false feelings!

The personnel were on a revolving door not long ago but they've gotten steady help as of late. Still a major pain to wait for an assessment to get your dose increased.

Addiction Recovery and counseling. Very helpful, knowledgeable and affordable. This is a MMT. A methadone maintenance treatment program, when done and followed a MMT is a life saver to those suffering from the medical… chronic disease of addiction. This is the only one in the Texas panhandle. Those who write negative post are usually not following the program and not ready for recovery. The nurses are very knowledgeable and ❤ caring.

I am grateful this place was here for me but honestly the only other place where I was subjected to medical personnel being this completely inept and unprofessional...and ghetto was in prison!! The doctor who runs this… place seriously needs to revamp his entire staff with the exception of Doctor Mason who is an absolute wonderful man!! So prepare yourselves these nurses are miserable, unprofessional, ghetto, gossipping rejects and act accordingly. Frankly I would rather have a lobotomy with a rusted salad fork as to EVER have to deal with them again!!!! For real y'all!!
